Born and raised in Huntsville, Ontario, Robin only commuted to earn his law degree but has otherwise never left his hometown for any prolonged period of time.

He was plenty happy to grow up and stay right where he was though, on some cases, his growing up differred from what had been his first plan-through.

Namely, his high school sweetheart, first girlfriend and first love, gave birth to their first child when they were just graduated from High School. Robin had immediately proposed that they marry, before she was even showing, and they were proud to receive their little girl into the world.

Thankfully, his parents were of much needed financial aid, but Robin saw it as his duty to keep themselves afloat, thus putting most of his attention in his studying and, then, working odd hours at however many jobs he could manage.

They had a second child, a boy, some years later, with her focused on raising them -- even as he graduated, his workload was very much jampacked as he believed that to be the best way to help out.

There’s never a question as to whether he loves his children or not but, sadly, he’s never been good at expressing just how much he cherishes them growing up. He can only hope they’re aware, even though he’s recently been taking steps in being more proactive about it.

About two years ago, they made the joined decision to divorce, seeing how their love for each other had cooled and they thought it best not to expose the family to any type of unhealthy living altogether. They remain in good terms, but he’s moved out of the family home and into a new place of his own.

With their oldest daughter being already in her early twenties, she’s freer to come and go as she likes, whereas their son is in his mid-teens, and a high school student. Both of them have their own bedroom in Robin’s home, should they choose to spend the night at his.

As well as a practicing attorney, Robin is the proud owner of a local pub, named ‘The Blackbird’. He usually oversees things during the evening, even having his dinner in there if neither of his children are visiting, since he’s a social creature and doesn’t really like eating on his own.

Since divorcing, he was in a brief relationship with another man, and identifies himself as bisexual -- though anyone he ever dated would have to be approved of by his children.

Robin is very self-deprecating but kind to others, genuinely interested in their well-being and the bettering of the town. As such, he tries to involve himself in town-related affairs.

He can totally be the dad friend if you’ll let him. Please, let him.
