there’s just something about 80s tech in general. the sound of a cassette clicking into place and spinning to life? big boxy boys with lots of buttons and switches? STEREO SYSTEMS? please. don’t get me started on arcade and pinball machines. would absolutely leave kiss marks all over their pretty glass screens, ty. and the computers, i don’t even have to mention them by name. you all know what i mean. ok objectum (positive) rant for a second. okay.

discovering objectum has honestly been such a huge thing for me. it's given me so much clarity about feelings and experiences I've found confusing and overwhelming over my years of living and it's like I'm finally at peace with myself. my coveted objects feel closer to me. I'm finally comfortable in my aromanticity! I don't experience a romantic bond with people and that's okay. other people can confide in their partners and all I need is to be with the things I love. I'm only human and humans are silly complicated little creatures, realistically we should all have bonds with our material possessions. I no longer have to pretend someone is there when I cuddle my pillows. I just adore them as they are. my computer humming it's good morning to me as I turn it on as if it's an old friend. the microwave beeping when the food is ready, just to make sure I didn't forget. objects look after me and I look after them. please love your things, guys. they love you back <:)

Every time one of my irls who knows i’m objectum asks “can i be objectum for a-“ im like YES!

YOU CAN BE OBJ FOR ANYTHING! That computer? Yes! That building? Yes! That song? YES !!!

And being obj is so fun too!! Like yes this computer is my boyfriend! Yes i have a rivalry with that building! Yes i kiss my disc drive every time i burn a DVD!

Being objectum is so freeing and so fun. Like i find so much joy and intimacy in everyday activities when it’s with the objects i love. <3
