york is a guy who thinks he's owed carolina's affection, love, and focus when he's done nothing to earn it. when he breaks with PFL and helps tex with the break-in, he does nothing to explain himself to carolina, gives her no heads up beforehand, and when he refuses to elaborate on why he does anything he resorts to trying to disarm and fight her instead of explaining himself despite the fact that this life is all she's ever known. he's asking her to go against everything she's stood for, and refuses to give her a reason as to why she should beyond "uhh cause it's the right thing!"

he gives me the ick, a "nice guys finish last" energy that i cannot stand LOL and it's frustrating how later seasons frame it like this was carolina's failure, like it was her fault for being completely left in the dark by those who supposedly cared for her. cemented that their "love song" is him calling her a bitch in the chorus, cannot stand his stupid ass hahaha
