okay it's taken over an hour but i've finally managed to put my thoughts on the breakdown scene into some sort of coherent(ish) order

the low ominous background noise and echoey effect that they usually use for robert's nightmares even though he was awake i am sick

when aaron first came in like wtf are you doing but robert just glared at him and then turned away – i really don't think he even knew where he was or who he was with by that point

the way aaron's reaction was initially to try shouting at robert that he needed to stop and calm down, but then his tone completely changed to soft and soothing the second he realised just how bad the situation was

the guttural sound of robert's voice when he was shouting "get off of me" physically hurt me and i will be suing ryan hawley for emotional damages

the little wobble in aaron's voice the first time he said "it's me" 😭

aaron! holding robert's face!! in his hands!!!

aaron was hugging robert but robert wasn't really hugging back, it was more like he was collapsing on him. his legs gave out, his hands slipped off aaron's back, his face was pressed against aaron's shoulder. he's so alone and upset and strung out and he hasn't slept in so long my boy is exhausted

those were the cries of a man who has been holding back tears for so long and i imagine the sound will be imprinted on aaron's brain for the rest of his life 🙃

We saw Robert collapse in Aaron arms, we saw them take it for what it is and we saw their first love scene.
