Since i was a boy i wanted to be able to control time, not to go back and save the worl or kill baby hitler, but because the idea of putting everything on pause to take a break, and do the things that mattered to me. Even at that age i could feel the effects of this industrialized life and how they weaponized time to keep us grinding to survive and never using that self awareness that sets us apart from the animals to actually become aware of the world around us. All i wanted was some control over my time. I’m older but the wish is still the same. Maybe I could sacrifice some of it and finally climb that tree and listen to this

because it is. and its a fact that grows harder to escape. i miss blissful ignorance but crave knowledge. why does it feel like a tragedy so often?

For some reason, after a bout of exercise and this song, my shitty day is feeling much better. I feel clear and focused.
