Would anyone be interested if I put together a post on how to write a scientist/engineer/techy/smart-guy type character? What would y'all want to know?

this disgusting, monstrous, fascist pig and her entire shit ass community on reddit are repulsive. absolutely sickening people. liberalism is a blight on the face of the earth. atrocity propaganda to justify bigotry and hatred =/= documenting an ongoing genocide to spark public protest and outrage to pressure governments and other organizations to stop materially supporting it. but i wouldn't expect this shallow-brained dipshit to even begin to be able to comprehend that. how the fuck did people watch this moron and take anything she says seriously? picture perfect example of a smug, elitist, neoliberal nuance and optics obsessed ghoul. it makes me feel ill that she even has an audience.

We do this thing where we meet a character and just fall into it. Last night i started doing this voice and @blemgoid immediately caught on. then today he started reciting lore out of nowhere. he did this like eight times flawlessly. he said he was thinking about it at work.

honestly seeing sephe on dropout at this point just makes me sad because it just keeps reminding me she's been our only transfem representation for 5 years, and its only ever in the context of being extremely slutty and horny and showing off our bodies (which like, obviously awesome for trans women to do, i encourage it to happen more often, but can get kinda gross when its the Main Bit for the sole transfem on a show that is clearly marketing itself to a largely TME audience to Ogle At)

“Capital is fundamentally the use of money to make more money. In order to maximize profits, a capitalist must be prepared to shift production from a less profitable commodity to a more profitable one, and this implies a stance of indifference to use-value. Whatever his personal attachment to vanilla ice cream, a capitalist will produce less vanilla and more chocolate ice cream if it is profitable to do so. Similarly because labour-power is commodified, capitalists can hire or fire labour-power as required to maximize profits with total indifference to the human suffering that this may cause. Indifference to use-value is also indifference to human values and human beings. Thus capitalists, if not constrained by outside forces, will have no concern for the working conditions of their workers or their lives. Unless constrained by law or by worker organization, capitalists will always try to get the most work from workers for the least pay.”

This an incredible picture. Democratic senator Cory Booker is, or so it appears, ducking behind someone else.
Booker, the orator waxing eloquent on civil rights, the senate's premier voice of racial justice calling us to our better angels, happens to have a soft spot for war criminals and genocidaires.
When MLK said, "Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere," Booker took that to mean that there should be an exception made for Palestinians. Perhaps it's sinking in that support for Israel isn't polling so well among Democrats, and that there might be a political and reputational price to be paid for obsequious fealty to a country committing genocide.
And then there's Amy Klobuchar, my state's senator from Minnesota, the corporate centrist sheep herder for the Democrats and recipient of Israeli apartheid payola:
Tumblr media
I can never look at these critters from DC the same ever again in the knowledge that they'll keep on dumping money on Israel despite the reports of snipers shooting young children, despite the deliberate massacres at aid sites in Gaza, despite Israel's open genocide, despite the deliberate starvation, despite the the headless babies and dead mothers, despite the torture and murder of Palestinian doctors, despite the nonstop home destruction and land theft everywhere in the Palestinian territories and now Syria and Lebanon, despite...

All places on earth should be free from the oppression of nation-states, that doesn't mean we shouldn't just leave regions of the world nameless
I don’t want this to be “Israelis vs. diaspora Jews.” I really don’t. We’re one people. We’re hurting together. But I need to say this clearly and with love:
It is easy to talk about “settler extremism” or “the dangers of the settlement project” when you don’t live here. When you didn’t spend Simchat Torah under rocket fire, watching families slaughtered. When you’ve never heard the screams, seen the funerals, or opened your front door to war.
And yes—I know diaspora Jews are going through hell too. Antisemitism is exploding. You’re being harassed, threatened, doxxed. It’s terrifying, and I see it.
But still: when you speak about “settlements” as the obstacle to peace, or frame Jewish presence in Judea and Samaria as the problem, you’re not just missing the history. You’re undermining both truth and Torah.
Because this isn’t just a political issue. It’s a mitzvah. The Ramban says we’re commanded to settle Eretz Yisrael and forbidden to give any part of it away. The Lubavitcher Rebbe warned again and again: giving land to enemies isn’t just dangerous. It’s a halachic violation. And it’s not theoretical—we saw what happened when we left Gaza. We uprooted Jewish towns. We gave land. We got rockets and slaughter.
Let me be even clearer: My great-great-great-grandfather was murdered by Arabs in 1904. Jews were massacred in Hevron in 1929. This was never about “the occupation.” It was never about borders. It’s about our very existence.
Judea and Samaria aren’t foreign outposts. They’re where Avraham walked. Where Yaakov dreamed. Where Yosef is buried. Where Yehoshua entered the land. Calling them “obstacles to peace” is like calling Sefer Bereishit an obstacle to peace.
You don’t have to agree with every policy. You can care deeply and still disagree. But don’t talk down to the people who live this, bleed from it, and still wake up in the morning choosing life, choosing Torah, choosing to stay.
We’re not settlers on someone else’s land. We’re Jews in our homeland. And no, we’re not giving it away. And we do not reward our murderers.
