Fedrigoni Calendar - YCN Students Awards Competition
This desk calendar was designed to show Woodstock paper range in a simple but playful way. The springy binding makes the calendar interactive and allows it to be very flexible in terms of how it’s placed on the desk. Depending on personal preferences, the user can play around with it and use it in many different ways. Some positions work as a decorative piece for the desk, while still being functional.

Teen Pressure Magazine
This is an Ethical Design project in which I have chosen to investigate the subject of women in the media. Young girls are daily bombarded with several messages, through moving images and print, about how “the perfect and ideal women” should look like. The concept of beauty has become very narrow and impossible to achieve, with a limited physical type - thin and tall. Excluding millions of women. Therefore, as they grow up, their self-esteem and body image becomes seriously affected.
Through the approach of culture jamming, I have designed a front cover that mocks existing fashion magazines, by exaggerating the content that they normally use. The main content of Teen Pressure Magazine is about informing, guiding and motivating teenagers who are potentially affected.

The Black Cat Book
For the Developing Design Practice unit, I have chosen a very dark and strong story by Edgar Allan Poe called The Black Cat.
The inspiration for the design came from the strong language and the violent scenes in the story. The pages were carefully designed to add meaning to the story through the use of type and strong contrasts.
The book cover reflects the anger of the narrator of the story. To make the cover more subtle and less obvious, I added a delicate transparent dust jacket, which adds layers to the cover and intrigues the reader.

Identity and Branding
For the Identity and Branding unit, I have worked within a team of 5 fantastic designers. Our design studio, Louder, came from the concept: “actions speak louder than words”.  We speak louder through clear communication, visual strength, and insightful, engaging design.
The heart of our identity was the logo, which connotes the “more than” and “bigger than” symbol. We also designed a range of promotional materials such as business cards, letterheads, envelops, packaging and a fully functioning website (See link below). These were designed in a very flexible and playful way, creating a cohesive brand.

Aspex Gallery Emergency7 Re-brand // COMPETITION
In this competition, me along with another graphic design student, became second place. We created this dynamic and edgy identity in which provides many layers of meaning. The logo shows 2 shapes emerging, as well as allowing the creating of a new shape within them. This represents new artists and talents coming together in order to create something unique.

Information Design
The aim of this unit was to present a very complex piece of data in a creative but simple way. I also had to design a set of pictograms in order to have less text and more visual images, which is a quicker way to read information. My approach was to choose 4 key aspects from the data and arrange them in a graph form. Then I joined these 4 aspects for each animal and a unique shape was formed. I did them all in the same graph so they could overlap and the viewer could see what they all share in common.

This Booklet is the final piece from the unit: Research-informed Design Thinking. This 1 year long unit had the purpose of teaching the importance of research, several different methods and techniques, all to gather big amounts of information before producing a final piece. I had to pick any topic related to the city of Portsmouth and then showing the information and knowledge gathered through this booklet.
My booklet's target audience was aimed to KIDS and this is why the design is pictogram-based. It is colorful and provides a small information and interesting facts about many attractions around Portsmouth.
