Condemned PT. 1
After me and Ronon's target practice, I have been taking him to the gym every day, so he can get enough exercise for the day. For the most part, it's going well, he hasn't opened up a lot but I can see we are gaining more respect got each other.
"So, what do you want to do now? Do you want to spar?" I ask him, hoping he will say yes.
"No."
"Why not? And don't give me any bullshit."
"I don't want to hurt you." He simply answers.
"Ronon, you said it yourself, I am a good fighter."
"Yes, but I am stronger, and most likely have more experience than you do."
"Maybe in years, but trust me, I didn't train with these men. I trained with people far better. So, let's spar, let me show you what I can do."
"No."
"But..."
"No."
"Ronon..."
"I said no."
"Fine, one of these days you are going to regret that."
"I doubt that."
At that, I start grabbing my things so I can walk him back to his room. Once we reach his door I have to ask him.
"I thought you said that you could see that even the Wraith were scared of me."
"It's true, but you also had a weapon to aid you. Hand to Hand or even sticks is hard."
"I know that I was raised to be a warrior, and not just any warrior but the best. Of course, the way they did was terrible but I am what they trained me to be."
When I see that he looks at me, sort of confused. "I thought that you were raised in the military of earth. They abused you?"
"No. I was raised somewhere else, a team from another Stargate team saved me."
"Where were you raised?" He asks putting down his gear in his room.
"Another planet."
"What was it like there?"
"For me it was terrible. I don't know what it was like to the outside world, I never was a part of that."
"Why was it terrible?"
"I don't want to talk about that."
"Okay."
"I'll see you later Ronon."
"Yes." He says
At that I walk out of his room and into the hallway.

We go through the gate with the Puddle Jumper.
"Look familiar?" McKay asks the two locals in the back.
"No."
"Me neither. I do not believe I have been to this planet before."
"Looks like there is no sign of settlement." McKay states.
"Other than that smoke from a campfire?" Ronon says with a smirk.
"Yes other than that." McKay corrects.
"I'll land a few hundred yards from there," John informs us.
When we land it seems like the people all got up and left. Food and clothes are hanging around.
"It's primitive, definitely primitive. Not even worth contacting. What is that smell?" McKay tells us, obviously wanting to get off the planet and back to his lab.
"It looks like they left in a hurry," Teyla tells us.
"That's what I was thinking," I say, then I along with John call out, hoping someone will answer.
All of a sudden I hear McKay asking someone what they are doing. I turn around just in time to see Ronon put a spoon full of food in his mouth.
"You want some?" The runner asks looking between me and Rodney.
"No."
"Sure," I say grabbing the spoon from his hands, briefly touching his warm fingers. I take a bite and may I say that the food was delicious.
"Thanks, Ronon," I say, getting up and ignoring Rodney's complaints.
After a minute I hear the sound of arrows wooshing.
"Get down, arrows!" I yell.
Soon we are all down, and I notice Ronon is hit in the leg.
"You know that this isn't the way to make friends," John yells out, causing the onslaught of arrows and other projectiles to stop.
"I'll get up first," I state, slowly standing.
Soon everyone gets up and starts walking, but that's when someone shouts "Fire!" And the arrows are flying once again. One grazes my face, but it does not feel like anything until there is a that flies by, and shoots something at our attackers, giving us enough time to get to the Jumper.
"Everyone in one piece?" Sheppard asks.
"Yeah, thanks to that ship," Ronon replies sitting down.
Once he says this, I go to take a look at the arrow he got.
"Stay still, and do not tell me you're fine," I tell him, as I begin to clean the wound, knowing he would try and get out of being healed. At first, he is silent, but then I notice he is looking at me.
"You have a cut on your face."
"It's just a scratch."
"It's bleeding." He says.
"Nothing new, you got shot with an arrow you get sewn up first."
"Fine." He answers clearly frustrated.
"I'll let you clean it after. How about that?" I ask hoping to cheer him up.
"Fine." He answers. I make quick work of cleaning his leg, but before I can dress it we get a message from the ship that saved our asses.

Getting To Know You
After everything that's happened with McKay, and Cadman's body being switched, I decided it's time for me to eat, but as soon as I'm about to sit down at a table, John grabs my arm, leading me in some direction.
"John! What the actual hell?" I ask trying to keep my voice down.
"Sorry, but I was hoping you could come with me to talk to Ronon. I think he likes you better than most of the people here." The dark-haired man responds.
"Fine, we're already almost to his table anyway," I grumble out, tugging my arm from his, so the former runner doesn't feel like I was forced to be near him. In all honesty, I didn't mind him one bit, he reminds me of myself when I was in his shoes, and it helps that he is a very handsome and muscled man.
Just when I finish my thought we reach the table, accommodating only the one man, until Sheppard and I sit down across from him.
"Not bad huh?" John starts first, referring to the food Ronon is eating, with his fingers.
"It's fine." He answers shortly.
"What do you think of Atlantis?" I ask, hoping to get more out of this man of few words.
"It's fine." He repeats.
"Have you thought about what you want to do after you're done here?" Sheppard asks.
"Do you want me to leave?" Ronon asks.
"No, no. Stay as long as you like. I'm just saying you know you're way around, you can take care of yourself in a fight, and you probably hate the wraith as much as we do." John says, but gets a pointed look from both Ronon and me about that last part.
"More than we do, and you need a place to stay," John tells the Satedan
"I'm not sure I fit in here." Ronon says, after glancing at his "guard".
"There's only one way to find out." I quip.
"Do I have to decide now, or can I finish eating?" He asks now that he is sure the conversation's over.
"Take your time. And... try these. They work great." Sheppard says to Ronon while giving him a knife and a fork as the colonel walks away.
As John walks away, I continue to eat, and Ronon finally looks up at me, probably expecting me to leave.
"If you're wondering; I am not leaving, I am going to sit here and enjoy my lunch, while I can," I tell him.
"Fine." He responds and turns back to eating.
After a while of us eating in silence, I can see that his guard, O'Reilly, has something on his mind.
"O'Reilly? What is it?"
"Nothing Ma'am." He rushes out. At this point, even Ronon stops eating.
"Dan, I know you. What's up?" I press on.
"Just have to use the bathroom, but I can hold it." He mumbles out, causing Ronon to have a slight smirk.
"Go, I can watch him." I encourage.
"Ma'am..."
"I said go to the bathroom Lieutenant. That's an order."
"Yes, Ma'am." He says, saluting me, and walks away.
"Hmm." I hear Ronon go.
"What?" I ask genuinely intrigued, by his sort of comment.
"They respect you." He says.
"Why wouldn't they? Is it because I'm a woman?" I ask slightly annoyed now.
"No. It's just from what I've seen I thought they feared you." He retorts.
"Fear me? Why would anyone fear me?" I ask him.
"I saw you fight, you scared even the wraiths. But, I guess maybe they don't just see the warrior, they see the person too." Ronon explains, leaving me without words for a moment.
"Do you fear me?" I manage to stumble out.
"No, because I respect you, as a warrior." He answers, once again leaving me speechless for a few moments.
"I hope that one day, you'll respect the person too," I say seeing O'Reilly walking back.
"Thank you, ma'am."
"You're welcome, Lieutenant." I respond walking to my room to think about a few things.

"Rodney, just listen to Weir, go see Heightmier." I say exasperated.
"No."
"Fine, Cadman, as your friend, please drive him crazy enough to go see her. I have to go. Bye." I command.
I decided to go to the gym, so I can get my blood pumping a bit. Ever since Rodney and Cadman have been in one body, I haven't been able to go out on a mission. But, when I walk in, I see Sheppard by the doorway looking on, watching Ronon take every single marine on. Showing us that if he really wanted to, he could probably take us out, and leave.
"Why don't we try that again?" Sheppard suggests to one of the marines, Jackson I believe.
"Why don't you try that again...Sir?" Jackson sassed back, causing me to chuckle, and help the poor guy up.
"Maybe that's enough for today," John says as he walks away.
"Nice work, boys. I got it from here." I tell them, letting them get cleaned off. They leave me with Ronon.
"So, are you going to just stand there, or are you going to help me work out?" I ask with a little smirk.
"What do you mean?" He asks quizzically.
"I mean, we can work out together. Do a few weights, use some of the machines."
"I can do that." He simply responds.
"Okay. How about we start with some weighted squats?"
"What are those?"
After asking that question I taught him how to squat, and many other workouts, and afterward, I was exhausted.
"That was a great work out! Thanks, Ronon."
"You're welcome, Alison."
"Please, call me Ali! All my friends do."
"We aren't friends."
When he said that, at first I was a bit hurt, but then I remembered that he has been on the run for so long that maybe he hasn't truly had a friend in so long; so I decided not to take it personally.
"Not yet. Now let me walk you to your room, so I can have a good shower."
"Fine." He responds, as a slight look of surprise took his face, but was quickly washed away.
Walking to his room was silent, the only noise made was that of other people. Not a word was exchanged between us, but the funny thing was, it wasn't awkward. On the contrary, we were walking side by side in comfortable silence.
"Alright Dex, see you later."
"You too. O'Neill" He responds causing me to laugh out loud, not expecting him to be sassy in anyway.
__________________________________________TIME______________________________________________________________SKIP____________________
After my shower, I decide to take a nap. But I was awoken too soon by a call from Rodney.
"What!" I yell into the phone.
"Heightmier made me let Cadman take control of some of my body."
"So, why are you calling me? It seems that that is a good idea."
"No, it isn't!"
"Rodney, Cadman, both of you. Just figure it out!" I yell then hang-up the phone.
"Sweet sleep!" I exclaim to myself. But I spoke too soon.
"Alison come in. Alison, it's Sheppard."
"What John?" I respond over my comms.
"Can you come down to the armory?"
"Fine, just give me some time, I got to get out of bed."
"You got ten minutes."
Quickly I got out of bed, and put on some jeans, and a white shirt, with a baggy sweater. If I'm going to the armory, without it being about a mission, I am going to dress casually.

"Alright, I'm here. What are we going to be doing?"
"We are letting Ronon look at our weapons."
"And..."
"I thought you would like to shoot something." He answers like it's the most obvious thing in the world.
"Aww, you know me so well! Okay, Ronon let's get started."
"This is a P-90, lightweight, compact, incredibly sturdy, fully..." John starts listing, but before he can finish Ronon shoots the rifle, hitting every single mark.
"Haven't seen anyone do that since me!" I laugh out loud.
"That's good, this is a nine-millimeter, semi-automatic..." Again, Ronon grabs the pistol, and he shoots the paper target, hitting each mark.
"That's good too!" John says, with a smile on his face.
"I prefer this," Ronon says, pulling out a different kind of gun, and shoots it, leaving the target with a large hole in it, and the inside of the hole singed.
"I can see why!" I say with excitement.
"Hey, this is McKay, can you take him back to his room?"
"Yes John, I got this."
"See you later." He replies.
"Alright Ronon, you ready for some easy target practice?"
"I thought you had to take me back to my room?"
"Didn't tell me when to you back. Unless you don't want to spend time with me?" I sass.
"Uh..." Ronon gets out, left speechless by my words.
"I'm just kidding! But seriously, do you want to do some target practice?"
"Sure, but everything here is super easy."
"I wasn't talking about guns."
"What then?"
"Throwing knives."
"I never used throwing knives before."
"Oh! Then I'll teach you!"
"Fine." He says stoically, but clearly has a little excitement in his eyes.
____________________________________________________________________________________________TIME SKIP_______________________________
Soon after I teach him all the basics, not touching him or anything, sensing he clearly has a bubble, he begins to pick up quick. But that's when I notice we have been throwing knives for about three hours.
"Oh my god, Ronon!"
"What, did you hurt yourself?" He asks eyes checking if I'm alright.
"No, it's just we've been here for so long. I think we should get to the mess, and eat."
"Oh, alright."

Fighting Passions - Ronon Dex
Alison O'Neill had gotten her sense of adventure from her adoptive family. Growing up around a group of people who go to new worlds and face new enemies for a living is bound to shape a child. Of course, she was also found on one of those new worlds on one of the first missions that the team had gone on, at the age of 14, is also going to shape a young girl. Allison or Ali, before being rescued by Sam, Jack, Daniel, and Teal'c, was a guinea pig for scientists who wanted to make a super-soldier and was being trained to fight like one of her people's most advanced warriors. When the team had found her, the scientist was drilling her for more bone marrow samples, and she was screaming in utter agony. It took a long time, but the young girl learned to trust this team, and let them become her family. Now, Ali is all grown up and ready for her own adventures, apart from her team as a grown adult. When she heard about Atlantis, she knew she needed to go. So, she walked up to the man who officially adopted her and every other member of her Hodgepodge family and explained why she needed to go. With much effort, begging, and even some tears, the girl was allowed to go to Atlantis; not only as a soldier but as an explorer and advisor on how to deal with new people, because that was who she used to be: the new person they had to deal with. After her first year on Atlantis and the many, many battles she and her team have fought against the wraith, a new challenge arises A man. Allison has dealt with many men, growing up on a military base, she was practically surrounded by them, but she has never met a man quite like Ronon Dex before. Complex, quiet, brooding, and yet light-hearted, and sweet, he was a mystery that she is continuing to get closer to.
I do not own Stargate Atlantis or any characters affiliated with SGA or SG1, I only own Alison and any changes she makes to the plot.
