I don’t know how to describe this other than this Shooting Star Festival cutscene with Caldarus is Malleus Draconia-coded 🧍‍♂️ (albeit the bit about the importance of bonds feels more like what Lilia told Malleus at the end of book 6 and not something that directly came from Malleus).

If I took screenshots of the entire cutscene, they wouldn’t fit in a single post. However, you can still watch it unfold in full on Youtube; I think you’ll understand what I mean once you see it for yourself why it’s so… Malleus, especially as he is often portrayed in fanon’s romantic interpretation of him.
