Hearing something, Rose paused, pressing her palm against the wall closest to her. The problem in all the films in the cinema was when the young (and attractive, thank you very much) lady would venture towards the source of the noise. The ending point was always some creature or something of the sort. Primed and ready to take the young lady to pieces if she was even lucky. The thing about Rose Tyler was she had never paid much attention to the films in the cinema. So, away she went to walk towards the noise, shoulders steeled to not show any of the fear and anticipation burning within her. It was dark, far too dark and that was unsettling but still she pressed on. If there was at least something here that was better than nothing at all. The void of nothingness seemed a far worse fate. "Hello?" Rose called out tentatively, one hand resting on her wrist in case she needed to make some quick escape. "I won't hurt you," Rose continued, trying to make it sound as if she was a fierce sort of person. She was the bad wolf, after all. Earth's defender, who had taken on Daleks and all sorts of other beings and creatures. Once she reached where she believed the noise had come from, she had to blink a few times rapidly. It was much brighter here than it had been where she ended up. "You seem to be apart of the surface of the sun," Rose commented, trying to shield her eyes and in the process losing her hold on her wrist.

The Doctor was walking around the TARDIS console, setting the course for his next journey. He tried to stir up some enthusiasm for this new adventure, but he found it difficult, now that he was on his own again. So many of his Companions had told him that he should never travel alone, because of what it turned him into: a sad, lonely, cold old man who’d lost every last shred of his delight in the workings of the universe.
When he’d finally set his course, he pulled the final lever, ready to take off…but instead of taking off, the ship lurched, throwing the Doctor off his feet, and then began spiralling through time and space.
After a few nerve-wracking moments of hurtling through the time vortex, the ship landed with a thud. The Doctor rubbed his head, which he’d banged against the console, frowning. “Well, dear,” he said, addressing the TARDIS. “I don’t think either of us meant to end up here. Apparently the madness doesn’t stop just because your Companions leave you…shall we see where we’ve landed this time?”

"Come on, Doctor! You always need a bit of a laugh," Rose insisted with a bright grin on her face. "But really, the question is nearly actually there. Which Doctor are you, exactly?" Just when life couldn't get any odder.

“Very funny,” the Doctor replied, rolling his eyes in mock-annoyance. “You know, I’ve never heard that one before…”

When the girl introduced herself, Rose nodded a few times. "You have been around with the Doctor, then?" The slight jealousy was always a bit of an issue with Rose but she tried to keep a handle on it for the most part. She knew others felt the same way but it was difficult to not feel a sense of entitlement towards the Doctor once being around with him. The Doctor made everyone feel so special and knowing he was that way with others was a difficult thing to try and come to terms with. It was nearly as bad as being left behind at all. "We are in the TARDIS without the Doctor," Rose repeated, eyes widening as the realisation sunk in more and more for her. Could they really pull this off? They'd have to! Shaking her head, Rose went over to the console, looking at all the buttons, knobs and everything else swirling all around. This was a bit more than anticipated but still no bother! They could do this. "How many times have you watched the Doctor fly?" Again, the jealousy wasn't going to get to her. Deciding to just dive in, Rose decided to press something, just to see what would happen. "Should we try to land somewhere?" She paused, looking over at her companion for a few long moments. "What and where are you even from?" For all she knew this girl was from somewhere in the near future. She couldn't be from the past because of the way she was dressed and her mannerisms she had already displayed. Rose had picked up a thing or two with all this time travelling!

How was she in the TARDIS? She can’t have been. Only moments earlier she was sitting in Angie’s bedroom and now she was lying on the cool floor of the Doctor’s ship. She attempted to sit up only to be overcome with a dizzy sensation and lying back down, staring up at the roof off the TARDIS.
It was coming back to her now. She’d been sitting on Angie’s bed and they were talking about some mundane thing - a boy Angie had fancied that’s right - then her vision had sort of gone black. Was she still on the bed? The pain in her leg from someone tripping over her certainly stopped that theory right in its tracks. No, she was definitely here. Great.
Clara sat up quickly and looked at the person in front of her, looking at the blonde girl calculatingly. “Ello…” She said slowly, standing up and looked around the console room. “Don’t have a clue.” Clara cleared her throat and ran over to the staircase. “Doctor! You can’t just vaporise me out of my home!” No reply. “Doctor?” She called out again before letting out a sigh. “So we’re stuck in the TARDIS without the Doctor.” Clara nodded before walking back down to the girl. “Well, I’m Clara, then.”

The nighty comment caused Rose to snicker before she could stop the reaction. Okay, she probably should have been more afraid and weary but it was a little funny. Her own state of dress wasn't too much better but she was probably more covered up than the other owner of that voice seemed to be. Creeping ever closer, Rose rolled her eyes as the voice continued. "I didn't snatch up anyone!" Rose called out, believing she had to be nearly at the source of the voice now. "I was dropped here, suppose same as you." Why were they here was the true question in all of this and for what purpose. Ending up in a strange place with little too no knowledge of going there wasn't ever a safe thing. The Doctor wasn't anywhere nearby and it appeared they were on their own for this one too. Not that Rose was any stranger to being on her own with things and didn't mind a little bit of a hard excursion. If her family were asked they would say she fancied it now but she'd tell them all to shut up. Who didn't fancy a bit of adventure every now and again? Finally seeing someone, Rose's hesitation dropped a little and she moved closer. "Donna?" Rose questioned, in disbelief she was seeing who she was seeing. It couldn't be, could it? What if this was a trick to make her think she was seeing someone she knew but wasn't really? It was hard to ever count out anything where the universe was concerned and she had seen the things she had seen. Deciding to take the chance, Rose reached out a hand, trying to touch Donna's arm. Not translucent then, that was a comforting thought. This wasn't a hologram either, which was always a fear. "Are you hurt?" Her eyes tried to roam the other woman quickly to access if there were any sort of injuries they would have to attend to. "I think the place we are at can change," she explained, not really wasting time with any of this. "The corridor wasn't the same the entire time I was walking. It's going to make getting out harder, yeah?"

I am SO SORRY I haven't been around. End of term and then work has really kicked my ass. I am going to try to get to replies and everything else tonight and this weekend. Term is nearly over for me so then things won't be so insane. If anyone wants to plot or work something out, I'd love that!

This was exactly what Rose had wanted to hear. "I think a lot of us who travel around believe that and the others with more experience and know how do not want to believe it so," she replied with a lift of her shoulder. "But what do you say we go on some adventures now? I think there is a lot we need to see..."

“Yeah I do, when I turned eighteen I kinda stole one of dads vortex manipulators and started traveling, of course mum knew what I was doing she just didn’t tell dad. I think he would have forbid it, sometimes he forgets that I’m not as destructible as others.”

If Rose loved anything in her life, really passionately loved, it was this man standing in front of her. Not even a man, not really. Man didn't even begin to describe the wonderfulness that he encompassed. He was the sun, the stars and ever galaxy all rolled into one was more like it. "I am glad with all you've seen, I still manage to surprise you," Rose commented, thoughtfully, a smile breaking out onto her face. She couldn't help it that he made her feel nearly like a primary student. "You taught me more than just a thing or two," she replied, her tongue pushing out between her teeth. "It was all very complex with bending and morphing of things. TORCHWOOD was very thorough and I'm really tiny. It worked out well, I think. So here I am! I hope I still have all my parts." Suddenly think of it, Rose started to pat herself down. "I think we are safe. I think I'm here all ... wait ... wait a minute ..."

Bring me the horizon | Closed starter.
Even with travelling all over the universe, there were still so many places Rose wanted to witness and experience. It was difficult to not want more when there were endless possibilities. Each star held a mystery and Rose wanted to uncover each and every one. This objective led to her working closely along with some of those from TORCHWOOD on a way to develop another form of time travel. The Doctor had sealed her off in an parallel universe but that didn't mean she had to stay there. Sure, she could have travelled back to him but she wasn't certain he wouldn't return her after one last adventure. One last of anything wasn't what Rose wanted and she couldn't settle into a normal life. It wasn't for her anymore and he couldn't seem to understand that. Everyone else was happy to not have the danger around them at every corner but she wasn't. She lived for the thrill and without it she felt nearly dead inside. Regardless of working constantly, the development was a slow process but in this way Rose had more than enough patience, knowing the pay off would be worth it. When it was finally ready, Rose was beside herself with excitement, making everyone swear to not tell what they had done or where she had gone. The last thing she needed was anyone coming after her. With the last preparations in place, Rose hit the communicator she had, pressing through the functions until she was able to take off. She wasn't entirely sure where she was going but that had never bothered her. The unknown was one of the best parts, really. Although, this had taken her time to really accept and appreciate. It seemed the saying you do not know what you have until it was gone was a true one. Landing with a thud (she would have to work on that), Rose got to her feet, looking around with interest. Looking down at her arm, she tapped through the monitor again, letting it scan the area she was in to tell her where she was. She was on another planet, that much was for certain and no one was around her at the moment, which was a good thing. Having to battle it out right from the beginning wouldn't be the greatest welcoming in the galaxy. Smiling brightly, Rose began to wander through the corridors and chambers, looking and searching for any source of life, human or otherwise.

I climb, I slip, I fall, reaching for your hands. | Closed Starter.
Staring up at the night sky was always such a different thing for Rose now because of what she knew. From the things she had seen and allowed to believe in. Being on Earth was a difficult thing for her now when every part of her longed to be in the sky. Somewhere across the universe where things weren't ever what they seemed. With a man, who wasn't even really a man at all. All her childhood dreams wrapped up and cascading through the constellations around her. Letting out a sigh, Rose started to walk back inside to see what her mum needed (her scream could be heard even from the furthest points of the universe) when everything suddenly went black. Actually, black with spots of hazy white, which didn't make any sort of sense. Something she should have been used to by this point but she was still surprised, which she supposed was a good thing. The time when things lost the thrill was the time when everything ceased to exist at all for her. When her vision cleared, Rose found herself on the ground, a familiar sort of whizzing noise barrelling around her. What in the .. Groaning, Rose slowly sat up, mouth hanging up as realisation dawned on her. She was IN THE TARDIS. "Oh my god," Rose breathed out, a sort of giddiness rising quickly because this was what she always wanted. "DOCTOR?" Rose called out, struggling to her feet as the dizziness still clung onto her. "How did I get here?" Rose questioned what she believed was to the silence. She couldn't remember the TARDIS settling down and grabbing her up so how was this at all possible? Shrugging a little, Rose started to walk around, figuring the Doctor would have to pop out at any second and explain what he had done to get her here. She was about to turn a corner when she nearly tripped over something. Wait .. someone. "Oh .. right. Hello!" Rose greeted, kneeling down beside the girl, feeling even more lost now on what was going on. Where there others? Was the TARDIS just feeling lonely? "Do you know how you got here?" Rose questioned, eyes sweeping around the place again, trying to find some clues. It was as she was looking around that something dawned on her. Without the Doctor, they would have to fly the TARDIS and while Rose had watched many, many times, she had never flown it. Not really. However, this was not going to be the death of her. No. Not even a little bit. She was a hands on learner and how hard could it be anyway? The Doctor did it and look at how many things she had picked up and figured out while in his company! This was going to be easy as pie. Okay, so she couldn't even make pie but that was really beside the point, wasn't it? The fact of the matter was Rose Tyler was a can do sort of person and she was going to get through this, hopefully with help from this girl. Perhaps she knew a lot of things too!

During their long absence from one another Rose had often wondered if time had marked them from the beginning. If all the loss had been pre-determined and destined. It seemed a bit mad but there was also a police box that travelled through time. Mad was all over this. "You have on your worrying face," Rose remarked, pulling back enough to see his face. "I didn't hop through any vortexes. It was something much more clever." She paused, thoughtfully. "I think it might even be too clever to tell you...." She so enjoyed getting him riled up as it didn't happen enough.

Rose nodded a bit. "Have you gotten to travel around much?" Personally, she couldn't imagine not being able to travel all over the place, all over the galaxy. Being stuck on the ground, well Earth was always a terrible fate.

Travelling throughout space and time meant there was a lot of unpredictability and a chance to never come back. At least not to the life once known. It was a risk but what wasn't in life? It was a risk to wake up in the morning and just to try so why not try and take a chance on something extraordinary? This was Rose's line of thinking and she had always craved adventure somewhere out there in what felt a far off distance. She had believed there was more for her and when the Doctor had arrived to take her away from everything she had ever known, Rose had accepted. Through it all she had stayed, fought and clawed her way to hold on. Never allowing anything to best her or to shatter her belief in there always being a way back up from the bottom. The vast universe, the unknown distance and all Rose wanted was to make her mark. But not on the stars, not on those she encountered but on just one. It was with this thought in mind that Rose slowly stirred, groaning hard as she started to become aware of things again. Where was she? Cracking open an eye, Rose was assaulted by a too bright light that was swinging back and forth over her head. A pendulum that felt a lot like fate but she couldn't panic. Rule number one was to never panic or in the very least to show it. Getting to her feet, Rose swayed on her feet, grabbing for the wall, at least what she hoped was a wall to steady herself. When she felt a little better, she pushed away and crept from the room she was in, taking note of everything she could see and feel. Who knew what would be important later on. She was about to turn towards a corner when she heard a voice. Rule number two was to never go TOWARDS an unknown voice but since when did Rose ever follow things like rules? They were more of guidelines, really. "Hello?" Rose called out, a question in her voice because she didn't quite fancy strolling off to her death. But did those preparing to kill you often call out to you first? Didn't they just rush up and finish the deed? Things through the universe were never simple, though. Things got all wobbly and whatever else the Doctor explained. Deciding to risk it, Rose walked in the direction of the voice, the light faltering and flickering out in what she believed had to be a corridor of some kind. Were there others stuck in the rooms? Were they something like cells? Her mind was buzzing as she believed she was about to reach the source of the voice. "I must warn you .. I'm armed!" Rose called out, trying to pretend she had something in her arms. She figured she could at least fake it long enough to get through it. What? It had worked plenty with Mickey.

Donna woke suddenly, sitting straight up with a gasp. She had no idea how long she’d been out of it, but it was cold and dim, and there was a rather damp draft wafting through…wherever she was. It took a moment for her eyes to adjust, and even when they did, it didn’t seem to be much help.
She was in a round room without a door, or possibly a very unusual cave, and though there was definitely light there was no way to tell where it was coming from. There was a dull ache in the back of her head, that feeling she’d come to recognize as a warning of trouble, but it seemed a bit late for that now, didn’t it?
The woman got to her feet with a groan, running her fingers through the tangled orange mess of her hair, and stepped out of the room into…what? A hall, a corridor? Whatever it was, it was still unrecognizable, extending into darkness to the left and right, with cave-like entrances to other rooms spaced seemingly randomly down the sides.
It was huge, and it felt…empty, so very empty. She cleared her throat, and called out. “Hello?” The halls echoed back at her: ello…ello…ello… “Is anyone there?” ere…ere…
Then, in a much smaller voice, Donna added, “Or am I…don’t tell me I’m alone down here…”
