I want a college Astrology Course!

I want to have a college course on astrology. Just imagine Astrology 101, there’s students shuffling into their seats and you have a professor eager to start class. Everyone thinks it’ll be an easy class, what’s there to know. There’s 12 signs and I already know one of them. The prof. starts by ripping a newspaper horoscope in half, saying astrology is more than your sun sign. They start off by explaining the basics of astrology. You’d learn to memorize the symbols and the characteristics of each sign, element, etc. 

No matter who you are or if you continue taking more astrology courses, you walk away from this class learning something; about yourself, about others, about astrology.

I want higher astrology classes:

ASTRL 102: Learning to interpret your birth chart and what the placements mean. You learn more about the planets, aspects, and houses.

ASTRL 104: Learning about the different charts (synastry, composite, transits) and looking at other’s: your friends’, family’s, etc. Looking at famous people’s birth charts and how to interpret them using astrology. 

ASTRL 203: Learning what else astrology can be used for.

I want astrology classes that you can pair with other courses:

ASTRL 315: Examining the relationship with psychology and interpreting patterns between different aspects of both. You could use it to add another way to help other people if you want to become a therapist.

ASTRL 317: Looking at correlations between history and the stars’ placements. Looking at historical figure’s birth charts or countries’ charts. You would get an insight into history that only the stars know. Or learning about the history of astrology and how it developed.

ASTRL 302: Learning to interpret characters’ charts in films or literature. You’d write essays to support you and explain the placements and why. You’d have a better understanding of characters or plot because astrology would flesh them out.

ASTRL 326: Pairing this class with another occult type class. You learn to pair astrology with tarot or tea readings. You use mostly predictive astrology for fortune telling or aiding others in understanding life. 

I want the option to major or minor in astrology:

ASTRL 507: Finding a pattern and creating a research project with evidence supporting your claim. Astrologers working with you to help develop your thesis and guide you.

ASTRL 510:  Working with astronomers to discover the meanings of new asteroids or comets. Understanding the importance of the science of the stars to create the importance of the stars.

The possibilities are endless.

I want to have an astrology college course.

I want a course that teaches people something that’s out there and cool and gives them a chance to expand their horizons because that’s what college is all about. I want a course where I can learn about the thing I’m passionate about. I want to be able to take a course on astrology to learn and not be ashamed of something that isn’t “a science” or is considered “a waste of time.” I want courses that aren’t traditional and students can decide for themselves because that’s what college is supposed to teach you: critical thinking and independence.

I want an astrology course mostly because there’s more to learn than just the college’s standard curriculum.
