CARING FOR THE SICK PROMPTS.
i found this list and kinda fed into it each time i got the flu or a migraine, and u know what, it's just me revealing just how much i love the caring threads and the soft threads and the fondly exasperated "let me help you" threads! use at your pleasure, DO NOT ADD TO THE LIST NOR EDIT IT! i will be changing it accordingly!
" i found you passed out in the kitchen. you wanna stop working yourself so hard? or do i need to keep hitting the gym to carry you to bed every day? "
" you're burning up. "
" your neighbour called me and said you could use a nurse. looks like they were right, too. "
" you were told to take it easy, so... yeah. this is kinda on you. "
" you took a sick day. you NEVER take a sick day. so yeah, i got worried, and i figured i'd come over and keep an eye on you. "
" you texted me a long and incoherent text that held about 90% of the emoji list and about four different languages. figured it wouldn't hurt to drop by and see how you were doing. "
" how long have you been sick for? and don't lie. "
" you look like hell. "
" i brought you some soup; let me heat some up for you? "
" okay. it's time you went to the hospital. "
" hey… hello there, sleeping beauty. you gave me a bit of a scare yesterday. how are you feeling? "
" i swear, if you even think of getting out of that bed… "
" you know when i said to call if it's an emergency? a fever is most DEFINITELY considered an emergency! "
" if you think you're going to work like this, you better think again. "
" don't worry. my family swears by this remedy; just let it work its magic and you'll feel good as new in no time. "
" I don't care about getting sick. i'm not leaving you until you're back to full health. "
" you didn't stop to think that this might happen when you're burning the candle at both ends? "
" yeah, I can play the role of nurse AND say "I told you so" at the same time, actually. "
" you better drink every last drop of this tea, no matter how disgusting it is. "
" i told my boss it was an emergency so they've given me a full week to look after you. "
" quit being so stubborn and get into BED! "
" what part of doctor's orders hasn't sunk in yet? bed rest! for the WEEK! "
" right, where do you keep your saucepans? i'm going to make you my famous noodle soup. it's a cure-all, i'm telling you! "
" hey, unless you're going to the bathroom or the sofa, I don't want to see you out of that bed. got it? "
" when are you gonna start letting people look after you, huh? "
" i know, i know, i turned off all the lights once i figured you had the migraine. you want some tea? water? "
" don't be mad, but i saw your fridge, and... it frightened me. so i've taken you back to my place, and i'm gonna get deliveroo to bring some groceries to your place tomorrow. okay? "
" i know your appetite is a little off, so i ordered in a whole tonne of options. just try a little bit of something, please? for me? "
" i've brought half a pharmacy, enough movies and boardgames to last us a decade, and every single snack i could fit into the basket at the grocery store. so sit your butt down, eat your soup, and try and make the most of your bed rest for the next week, will you? "

Though the library is often a nice spot for a quiet morning read, these past few days were a lot more hectic than Kliff was used to. That usually meant new books had been added to the collection, leaving him with no other choice but to stay away for a little longer until things died down again. That opportunity finally came today, with the mage having the chance to read the book everyone had been raving about.
Except…
“Gods, this book is utter garbage…” He mumbled to himself, raising an eyebrow at the writer’s incredibly strange and nonsensical tips and anecdotes. He usually liked to rank every book he read with a rating from 1 to 5, but this piece of literary trash wasn’t even a 1. It was so genuinely moronic that it almost did a 360 back into hilarity.
It’s just too bad Kliff wasn’t much for comedy.
He was about to put the book down, not wanting to lose anymore braincells to this slop, when someone stopped by his table. Looking up he saw broad man with a slightly familiar air about him. Kliff couldn’t quite place it, however.
Closing the book, he slid it across the table to where the man was standing. “Sure.” He answered calmly. “It’s a great guide on how to get yourself killed, if that’s what you’re looking for.”It was hard to believe some of his classmates gave it such raving reviews. Goes to show that having actually fought in a war before completely changes your perspective.
this book? gnarly

Oh, that’s where she wants to take this?
“I’m just repaying the debts I’m owed. Even if the method is…” humiliating? Awful? Comically nightmarish? “…unconventional.” Yes. Let’s go with that and none of the more colorful words that were on the tip of his tongue.
He looked around for a moment, watching for prying eyes or ears. Once he decided the coast was clear the mage continued speaking. “Surely you’ve noticed. There’s some strange dealings going on in this town.”
Honestly it was impressive how he managed to keep his composure despite being spotted in a compromising outfit by someone he knew. Though the fact that she was in a similar state of dress made it a little less awkward. Plus, judging from her tone of voice her intent to tease.
Well, two could play at that game.
“I assumed you’re here for similar reasons, Miss Sonya. Unless you’re just chasing after some sort of lost glory?” A small, catlike grin crossed his soft features, a gloved hand covering part of his mouth. “I suppose some people do like maids who are a little more.. advanced, shall we say.”

“That’s how it always goes with these types.” The boy rolled his eyes as he took a sip of his own tea. It was a simple citrus blend, a combination of sweet with just a hint of sour to keep the mind clear. “No consideration for how their words affect others, so long as it’s entertaining to them.” It was a type of person he knew all too well, his own mother being a chief example. It was incredibly annoying, their grating voices only worsening his irritation. “At least it spared us the effort of having to dig through the dirt ourselves, so I guess I can’t be too upset about it.”
Mirroring his companion he stood up as well, stretching his arms as he did. Watching as Poe put down the correct amount, he made a mental note to return the favor sometime. “Yep.” Kliff replied to her, popping the final P. “Apparently the folks here have a reputation for being loose lipped… We’ve got a decent suspect, so we can head back and let the knights deal with the rest.”
That was their assignment, after all. They couldn’t let the clergy get too involved in these matters, so they were tasked with observing and reporting their findings. As soon as they had a suspect, they were to return to the monastery. “What a relief. Gods, If I had to spend any more time in this beachside vanity hole I think I’d lose my mind….” He mumbled to himself.
“Observe and report”? I thought you said “Deserve to get shot”!

Even during the off season, the beachside town of high society was truly a sight to behold. A community of nobles and their affiliates called this place their home, the buildings well maintained and the decor immaculate, creating the very picture of resplendence. It was a far cry from the humble buildings of Ram Village, with roads of dirt and grass instead of brick and cobblestone.
But the greater something shines, the darker the shadows it casts. That seemed to hold true for both the town as well as its people, unsavory rumors running rampant of embezzled funds and blatant corruption. Paired with a member of the church, Kliff had been chosen as one of the “lucky” students to be participating in the investigation.
“I don’t get it.” With a frustrated sigh Kliff looked over the documents once more. The pair were seated in a small eatery, a table in the corner giving them enough privacy away from curious ears and eyes. “The donation records check out- there’s even records of the central church itself giving financial aid. But it’s as if somewhere along the line the funds just… vanish.”
That was the central problem the pair were facing now. It was fairly normal for believers to donate to their local churches for its upkeep and maintenance. But despite the wealth of the neighborhood, its own church was in a remarkably poor state.
Pale pink brows furrowed, he looked to the woman seated across from him. “What do you think, Miss Poe? If I had to guess, someone’s taking the money for themselves, but….” There was no proof, was the issue.
While they were in the corner, a group of noble women sat a few tables away. Kliff up until this point had been trying to tune them out, their voices loud and grating to him. However, this time one of them said something rather interesting.
“My grandfather got so mad recently. Apparently he fell through one of the chairs during a church service. How embarrassing!” Loud giggling followed. “You’d think with the amount of money the peasants pump into it there’d be better seats right? Wasn’t Count Vanster put in charge of the church’s funding?” Another girl said. “You think they’re actually using that money on the church? Please, everyone knows that Count Vanster puts all that money in his own pockets. Just yesterday I heard he bought his three year old daughter another horse!”

Ugh.
Ughhhhhhhhhhhhhh.
This had to be perhaps one of the most humiliating assignments he could’ve possibly received. With an unnaturally high pitched voice and pink hair tied into two thick and girlish pigtails (Not even mentioning the criminally short skirt his uniform had), it was as if the universe conspired to create the most embarrassing scenario possible for him.
“T-Thank you for your patronage….! Come again… anytime.” With a wave and a forced smile he saw the table of gross men off. They seemed to enjoy his stand-offish act, but little did they know he simply avoided saying more than is necessary because with every word spoken his urge to blow up this godforsaken establishment rose.
At least it was now his break time. He’d have time to prepare himself mentally before the really big clients, the ones he’d been assigned to spy on. With little more than a nod of acknowledgement he rushed off to the back of the establishment and flung the door open to the alleyway outside.
“Why… Why’d it have to be me….” Silently fuming, trembling hands held onto the hem of his skirt tightly, as if he could tear it apart any moment. When he heard the sound of the door slamming open again he tensed up, not willing to speak to any of his coworkers up close.
“I’m sorry….” He spoke again in that fake high pitched voice. “I didn’t realize you were-” Then he turned around, coming face to face with someone familiar.
….
His cheeks flushed red. Despite the embarrassment he tried to return to his usual calm posture. “O-Oh. It’s you.” He said in his natural pitch.
Another beat of silence followed.
“….after we get what we need let’s pretend today never happened.” As long as Sonya wouldn’t say anything about his uniform, neither would he. They were… kindred souls in their suffering.
Gods, just thinking that way made him want to gag.

[ TEA ] - Just what it says on the tin! The only teas offered are Mint, Bergamot, Sweet-Apple Blend, Albinean Berry Blend, and Southern Fruit Blend, wrapped in small tea bags. Some students, having anticipated a small selection, bought their own tea.
On a frigid evening such as this one, one of the best ways to warm up was through a nice hot cup of tea. The making of tea was familiar to him, once taught to him by his father, so he could always have something pleasant to drink even on the road. It wouldn't be like the tea he made with Ilian spring water, but it was what he had.
Upon seeing another person in from the cold, he decided to make a second cup. It wasn't hard to be kind to others, to show a helping hand where he could.
Presenting it, with a simple anchor charm on the saucer, he simply said, "Take this. It will stave off the chill. And the charm is a gift from me to you. I noticed you seemed to need one."
He looks out the window at the storm, the raging dark sea visible from the safety of the estate. "Shame the night had to end like this. I feel bad for the birthday boy, that the weather couldn't agree more with the date. But that's simply the way things go sometimes." He sat down with his own cup, looking to see of the other joined him. If not he was content to watch the storm more absently."
Kliff had been reading a book in a small corner of the manor, content to spend the rest of the party with tales of a sky faring captain over any social obligations. In one hand was his book, using his thumb to turn over pages while the other hand was used to hold a half eaten crepe, the boy absentmindedly taking a bite every few pages. Perhaps it was a bit cold, a light chill running down his spine every so often, but he was too engrossed in his reading to care about that.
It wasn’t until he suddenly had a shadow cast over him, obscuring the letters on the paper, that he finally looked away from his book. With furrowed brows he was about to chase the person off, but to his surprise the stranger was holding out a cup of tea to him instead. His expression softened, slightly. “Oh. Well, thank you.” Nodding curtly he took the drink, as well as the charm.
Reciprocating the man’s kindness he handed him one of his own turtle charms. “Here. I still have too many left of these so.. take it.” Kliff made no effort to move away, allowing the man to sit next to him. He normally didn’t really enjoy having a stranger next to him, but considering his kindness the mage figured he could at least be courteous.
“They could’ve seen it coming.” Kliff stated bluntly in response the man’s empathetic words. “Storms like these you can read from miles ahead. The fact they still went ahead with the party… either it was a conscious decision, or….” He trailed off, not finishing his sentence. “They’re a moron.” He thought to himself. But even he knew it was rude to call someone an idiot in their own home.

[ SWEET BUN TRIO ] - A selection of traditional Faerghus pastries, all small enough to be eaten in one delicious bite! The first bun is filled with sweet cream and topped with icing and a candied cherry. The second is a sweet roll filled with almonds, pecans, and dried cranberries and glazed with honey. The third is a bun sliced in half, filled with almond paste and whipped cream, dusted with powdered sugar on top.
As Jeralt views the variety of delicacies, he is approached by a noble jovially trying to butter him up by shoving a plate of Faerghan pastries into his hands. He never really liked these, and it’s not like he’s desperate enough for sugar that he’d settle for it. A warm, savory meal and drink would be much more preferable than a dessert right now.
Once he manages to make enough small talk and the noble takes their leave, he scans the hall and notices a boy off to the side, eyeing the table of treats but never stepping closer. Probably due to the crowd.
“Hey, kid.” Let’s hope he really does have a liking for sweets. The older man had made the effort to leave them perfectly untouched. “Want some? I’m not a fan of pastries, but I saw you looking at them. I’ll give you a charm if you take it off my hands. Deal?”
(Minor mentions of alcohol)
It’s noisy… so noisy. With a frown Kliff had stepped into the room to grab a snack, but it was as if half the party had a similar idea. The table was crowded with people shouting their wants over one another, creating a disorderly mess of a scene. One of the staff members, mistaking him for someone else most likely, shoved a glass of some kind of drink in his hands, the scent burning his nostrils being a telltale sign that it was booze of some sort.
He doesn’t even like alcohol. What the hell was he supposed to do with this?
Thankfully he didn’t have to ponder it for long as a massive bear of a man approached him. Upon closer look he was holding a plate of some sort of treat, a delicious sugary snack that the mage most definitely craved.
Showing that desire would be mortifying however, especially as he saw Kliff eyeing these particular pastries. He had to fight off the rising smile as the man offered him a trade, settling for a slight grin. “Oh, I do like those.”
He then held out his untouched glass of… whatever the hell was in there, together with one of the ugly turtles he held in his possession. Most rugged men liked booze, right? He definitely recalled one of Celica’s old companions being fond of taverns… “If you take this drink off of my hands too it’s a deal. I’m not big on alcohol.”

[ FIREWORKS ]
Eyes would rather keep away from looking out at the cataclysm that she had to trek in order to get here. But it is sparks of light from the window, ones that do not come from the roaring thunder, that convince Sonya to finally give a passing view. Thankfully, her viewing is not wasted.
While the erupting fires are inevitably consumed by the rains moments after they are created, the fireworks are a determined bunch. Not a second passes by before another attempt of a display is made, and then another, and another. It nearly becomes a reaction test to determine what the unnatural fireworks are meant to represent before fizzling out, an admirable game in its own right.
While she doesn’t have time for such games, Sonya turns to notice another person enjoying the show. A young man with pale hair…why does this little one strike her so familiar? The mage soon recognizes the identity of a fellow caster, even if his attire tonight is different. The boy was one of the quieter ones during those travels…no wonder she could not remember him instantly.
As only she had sights on him, Sonya decides to utilize her element of surprise. She drifts toward Kliff’s side rather than attempting to sneak behind his back. For she does not intend to shock him, merely to ponder alongside.
“Looks like some kind of flare magic, hm?” Sonya hums aloud, retaining her gaze on the spectacle. “Wonder how strong it is, seeing how constantly it’s fighting with the storm. Unless the guy has his own special methods?”
While she does not directly address the other throughout her musing, her left hand slips a turtle charm into its palm and holds it out for Kliff. Payment for his own thoughts, if he’s willing to share.
These “fireworks”… they were a fascinating sight, and quite beautiful too. Kliff couldn’t help but be just ever so slightly enamored by the way light flared across the sky, only to fizzle out so fast. Pink eyes shone with interest, widening slightly as if wanting to take even more of it in.
Then a woman’s voice spoke to his side, addressing him. Turning his head sideways- and then up to match her gaze, he came face to face with a familiar woman. An ally from his days with Celica’s army. “Why, if it isn’t Miss Sonya. It’s been a while.” Though his tone of voice conveyed little in the way of interest, it wasn’t as if he disliked her.
Quite the opposite, in fact. She was one of the few he’d say he respected, Sonya being an intelligent woman with skill in magic to match. Their conversations, far and few between as they had been, hadn’t been unpleasant.
So for that reason he didn’t mind sharing his own thoughts. She’d probably be one of the few who’d even understand his musings in the first place.
“If I’d hazard a guess, magic was used to give the flares hydrophobic properties.” His words came out calmly, as his eyes drifted back to the view outside. “Keeps them from fizzling out instantly thanks to this incessant rain.”
He looked to her extended hand then, seeing the sparkle of a charm. “Ah. They gave you one of these hideous things too, huh?” He said with mild amusement as he swapped it with one of his own charms. “It’s so far removed from what actual turtles look like… not to mention it’s just flat out ugly. Heh, Hope that doesn’t bother you too much.”

[ BELOW DECK ]
Morgan looked at her new cruise companion... both of them were under the deck and rocking while at sea. She didn't have much to say to him... until she saw the turtle charm!
"Oh! You have the turtle charm! Mind if we trade? I have a pearl!" She asked! "I can... teach you a sea shanty from back home? Well okay I can't do that I don't know it. But I can hum a rhythm for something I think WAS a sea shanty back home. And then you can be like "Wow Morgan I can barely hear it over this storm and boat creaking! But I bet if you know the words it'd be so good!" You know?"
This was a mistake. This entire night was a mistake. Sometimes it felt like his entire existence was a mistake.
Thanks to the unsteady rocking of the boat his skin, though naturally already pale turned a few shades paler and a few shades grayer as well. All those drinks he had were doing summersaults in his stomach, and he did all he could to keep himself from hurling.
(Just tough it out. The rocking will eventually stop and then everything’s gonna be fine….) Kliff kept repeating in his mind, over and over.
It was then that his thoughts were interrupted by a voice that, at the moment, sounded incredibly shrill to him. And it just kept going. He shot her a look of both incredulousness and irritation, as if to say “You want to ask this now?”
“Don’t… hurk…. just be quiet….” Any sass in his voice was completely obscured by how decidedly ill he felt. With shaking hands he grasped one of his own charms and held it out to her. “Don’t talk to me and I’ll… Give you this. Deal?”

Being closer to the manor than most other partygoers, it meant Kliff was given first choice on many of the manor’s amenities. Having been left battered and soaked by sudden pouring rain, the mage was more than a little eager to step out of his ruined clothes and clean himself up.
This led him to the so called “Jacuzzi”, a hot bath that would naturally bubble up. More than a little curious, both out of academic curiosity and out of the desire to ease his muscles, he was quick to find the room in question. Thank the gods that it was empty, allowing Kliff to comfortably take off his soaked outfit, replacing it with a soft towel that he could wrap around his body completely.
With a pleased sigh he sank into the warm bath. The bubbles gently massaged his skin, and the heat started to seep into his body, replacing the previous chill.
He was able to enjoy the silence for roughly 10 minutes, before the sounds of another person had him opening his eyes again. Mild irritation flashed across his eyes, wishing he could’ve had at least a little while longer on his own.
“Hm. Do as you please.” Kliff answered, glancing the other way. He didn’t like the idea of having to share with others, especially considering he’d be so exposed around total strangers.. But the water was just so comfortable leaving sounded even worse… still though, feeling somewhat self conscious he sank down into the water further until it reached his neck.
At least the other guy didn’t seem particularly annoying. Let’s hope it stayed this way.

[NSFW, AFAB Terminology]
“Mmmph….” He let out a soft moan as Ike slid two fingers back inside him, causing a low vibration in his throat right around the large cockhead he was sucking. Spurred on by the way Ike manhandled him further, the way he spoke, those vulgar words, Kliff sucked down even harder.
Obscene sounds, of wet skin on skin became even more frequent as he sped up, going up and down the man’s hot rod. He wanted to make Ike cum, to taste his spend on his tongue. When he got back to the tip he stopped for a moment, swirling his tongue around the fat cockhead and stimulating the rest of his dick with his hands.
Looking at Ike, his own pink eyes, clouded as they were, reflected a playful sort of desire. As if to challenge Ike to blow right into his wet mouth.

[ RELAX ] - For those looking to take a breather, the cabana located a short ways from the ball’s epicenter might be the answer. Take a seat in the chairs lined up side-by-side on the porch and pour yourself a drink from the chilled wine bottle as you have a fine view of the ocean. A white hammock lies inside for those who want to recharge before jumping back into the fray.
The party is a little much. It feels like Ike's been here for hours, but it's probably been an hour at best. Still, there's a nice spot to sit and relax in, and pretend the rest of the party isn't happening, if just for a moment.
He goes to sit down, but finds an all-too-familiar face already here.
Well, well, well, if it's not the consequences of Ike's own actions.
"Hey, Kliff." Ike rubs the back of his neck. "Look, I'm not gonna- I'm gonna leave you alone, I just want a second away from the party." He takes a charm from his bracelet. "Here." It's a bribe to allow Ike to stay here; a little seashell.
The party was already overwhelming, leading to Kliff seeking a spot where he could decompress from all the stimulation making his senses go on high alert. With a sigh, he grabs a glass of juice and sits down in one of the chairs.
He closed his eyes, listening to the rolling of waves, the breeze passing him by… and now the voice talking to him. Great. With a look of annoyance he glanced in the sounds direction only to come face to face with familiar shades of blue. “Oh. You.”
He seemed flustered. Kliff might’ve been as well, had he not thoroughly detached himself from that situation. Opening his hand, he allowed the mercenary to drop his charm in the palm of Kliff’s hand. In return, he grabbed one of his own ugly turtle charms and kindly flicked it in Ike’s general direction.
Heh.
“You can sit here if you want, I don’t care.” He spoke calmly, taking a sip of his drink. “The views good, the drinks are good, it’s much better here anyway, away from all the noise.”

Ugh, what a pain…
That was the thought crossing the pink haired mage’s mind as he approached the site of the ethereal ball. Truly, the idea of spending an entire night in a crowded place full of people, with an overwhelming amount of sounds, smells and sights.. it sounded like his own personal hell. He should’ve stayed back. Should’ve locked himself up in his room with a good book and a cup of tea.
A sigh escaped his lips as he adjusted the collar of his outfit. A more formal piece he purchased abroad somewhere on a frivolous whim. If he had to commit to this, might as well look the part, right?
And who knows, maybe this night won’t be all bad. Celica was here, so that was at least one familiar face. As long as nobody was too annoying to deal with, he supposed he could stick around for a little while…
What was that? A smile? No, you’re seeing things. He’s most definitely not enjoying the idea of spending the night at a beachside ball. Definitely not.
On his wrist hung a hideous little charm of some kind of sea creature. A turtle, he believed. He was here now, so might as well make the most of it.

This night was a mistake. The strobe lights were annoying, the music was too loud, and the smell and sounds of the large amount of people pressed together in a small space made him want to gag. If it were up to him he would’ve been at home, reading a book with a cup of tea in bed.
Instead he had the genius idea of letting Gray talk him into going clubbing with him and Tobin. Three headache inducingly sweet cocktails later and he could feel his mind grow foggier as his body swayed. But that wasn’t even the most insane part of this night, far from it.
It was meeting an attractive stranger who sat by the bar like he owned the place. He looked muscular, probably somewhere close in age to him and oozing confidence. He was… pretty damn hot, admittedly. Under normal circumstances Kliff wouldn’t even think of approaching some random stranger, but being a little tipsy did strange things to a normally repressed man, he supposed.
Their talk was casual and light, a hint of playfulness between them. Eventually they got so lost in their conversation that they lost track of the amount of drinks that had been ordered. 3 overly sweet cocktails turned into 6, with the other man drinking enough beers to match.
After that it all became somewhat hazy, but when his mind cleared up again slightly he realized he was somewhere different, probably the club’s bathroom. He could feel himself get lifted up by the man’s muscular arms, his back against the wall as their lips met.
It was a sloppy and wet kiss, Kliff being quick to open his mouth further to allow the other man access with his tongue. The man’s scent, his toned body, his large arms, and the dominance of their kiss, it overwhelmed him.
He could taste the alcohol on both of their tongues, and it was as if with every touch sparks were sent flying. Only when Kliff could feel the need for him to take a breath, he pulled his head back, a thin trail of saliva still connecting their tongues.
“Wowww… you’re desperate, aren’t you..?” His words came out slightly slurred. Truthfully this was the first time he ever properly kissed someone and were he in his right mind he most definitely would’ve been panicking. But (thankfully, perhaps) the alcohol gave him a boost in confidence, letting him at least pretend like he knew what he was doing.
“Dragging me to a filthy place like this….” Grabbing the man’s cheeks with his hands (god, he doesn’t even know his name), he leaned in closer. “You… you want me so bad…? Go ahead then….”
And with those words he pressed their lips together again.

“Do I.. look like a fighter to you?” Kliff complained between heavy breaths. Despite being a few years into his adulthood already, he was notably scrawny and small. A far cry from the, in his opinion, frankly ridiculous frame of the other man.
Looking to Ike, a wry smile crossed his lips. “But hey, we’re L’cie now aren’t we? Don’t we get magic powers to kill everything we hold dear?” He chuckled humorlessly. He still had no idea what their focus was, a hazy dream being all he had to go off of. But considering how historically Pulse and Cocoon had always been bitter enemies, he could hazard a guess now that they were forcibly conscripted onto team Pulse.
He sighed, leaning against one of the crystallized pillars. With an irritated expression he looked at his L’cie brand. “Thanks a lot for that, by the way. I always wanted to get turned into a monster.” Sarcasm dripping off his voice, the message was clear. He blamed Ike for their circumstances.
Not just Ike, though. He blamed his friends for ever suggesting a trip to Bodhum for their graduation party. He blamed the Fal’cie for branding him. But they were all far away. Who knew if his friends are still even alive after being caught up in the purge like him.
Ike on the other hand? He was right there, a perfect target for all of Kliff’s anxieties and frustrations.
“Seriously, what kind of moron thinks going into a Pulse vestige is a good idea? How did you think this would end?”
Hate will not heal you
