There are a couple of things about current shipping culture that confuse me.  

1. The focus on whether or not a pairing will become canon as a reason people should ship something or not.  Do you not understand what the “transformative” part of “transformative works” means?”

2. This idea that saying “I ship that” means “I think that, as presented in canon,this is a perfect, healthy relationship that everyone should model their relationship after.” 

Sometimes shipping something does mean that.  Sometimes shipping something means “Person A is a trash bag who doesn’t deserve person B but I would love to explore how Person A might grow to deserve Person B.” Sometimes it means “I want these characters to live together forever in a conflict free domestic AU.”  Sometimes it means “I want Person A to forever pine after Person B.  Nothing is beautiful and everything hurts.”  And sometimes it just means you like their faces and want to see Person A and Person B bone in various configurations and universes.

Also i randomly decided that Telemachus and Aeolus would be cute- Prince of Ithica x King of the Winds? vibes, sure, they can be sillie together

Added a fourth Helios wife because she's the one who's mentioned in the actual odyssey (from my skim-reading of wikipedia lol), and added polyphemus (cause i forgot about putting him on here originally lol and i wanted ship ideas for him) and dionysus (because i got briefly fixated on Hephaestus and his relationships with the other gods and liked the idea that the only two he really likes or trusts are Helios because he told him the truth of Aphrodite's affair, and Dionysus because he's not high and mighty and is just pretty understanding and a good hang lol)

theres no shipping charts for epic and i need shipping charts to keep my shipping webs in check, so i decided to make one (without fanart)

This isn't every character obviously cause its... greek mythology, and id have a real hard time incorperating every character thats ever connected to each of them, so i just went for characters that have a role in the musical (+Ctimene ig lol), and then theres enough space along the outsides to add other characters as you wish!

I added 3 of Helios' consorts from mythology because I like the idea of him just being a happy dad with his three wifes and many children and his occasional non-romantic partners <3

Also Charybdis and Scylla are besties who consider each other sisters but also fight over food, and they both love talking to the sirens whenever they visit because its basically the only friendly interraction they get, Circe and Scylla are girlfriends after reconsiling and realising that man wasnt shit lol

this was mostly a vehicle for me to get my ships in order and figure out who to ship tiresias, telemachus and hermes with because i wanna write about each of them at some point (and i know theyre a common polyship but i wanted to add a lil spice to it lol, i wanna rarepair!! but extra rare!!!)

Everyone always writes about Poseidon and Zeus in the Manwhore/Open Legs/There Are Other Ways AUs, which is absolutely fair, does make sense as him learning it from Circe and using it after, but do I need to be the one to write about him and Polyphemus?

I personally headcanon Scylla as a lesbian, but I’m sure him offering a monster that used to be a beautiful nymph, and was specifically turned into a monster to make her unloveable, some *cough cough* affection would win her over /silly
