wow- just. wow.
didn't have a clue about that, very grateful for links and quotes from there. this slowly shifts my opinion more to understanding side, i think? also considering reblogs i got (still have to answer them)
thank you
I'll answer the first two for now
Since we all support the big three, there is nothing shameful in the term for us. Extremely simply: why would you call yourself asexual instead of not looking? Because you don't think homosexuality is a dirty word.
I am sorry this happened to you, but there is a gap between the terms you use and we use. You were a victim of a child abuser, not a pedophile: Just like someone could be a victim of a sexual abuser, not a heterosexual. Paraphilia (para meaning abnormal and philia meaning love) is defined simply as non-""natural"" attraction, i.e. attraction to something other than genitals of opposite sex, and obviously there is nothing wrong with attraction because it itself does not harm anyone, it's just a feeling. If i was angry at you that doesn't hurt you, it only hurts you if i punch you or something, feelings are inherently not harmful. Like we're not fucking stupid, we don't support harming people, bigots do. All radqueers are pro-consent and anti-consent are actively excluded from the community because they are pro-harm which radqueers are not.
In case i come back i'll put 🔁 as my signature.
okay, thank you for answering, i have another question now though. content warning for heavy topics
2. i understand the analogy, but it's still different. "hetero" abusers oftentimes do it simply for the feeling of power and control, their attraction comes secondary. but pedophiles act on their attraction and that's the main reason for their deeds. so why erase the word "pedophile" from that situation, if it really matters there? sometimes gay men still abuse or rape women even without any attraction, in this case it's 100% about power/control and patriarchy/sexism. but not a single non-pedophile has ever assaulted a child
again, all with tonetag /gen, and feel free to (politely) correct me (and explain why pls) if i say something offensive, i really want to keep all arguments nice and respectful on this page

also, thank you all for playing by rules (:D) and keeping nice convos and polite tone. i have a lot to think about, i'll answer to reblogs a bit later
you still can add on, i don't mind (quite the opposite, i encourage you to do so) more people talking about this, your explanations really help me to find a different perspective i can reflect on. as i said in my pinned post, i'm not coming from judgement and i want to hear you all out before i keep/shift/change my opinion

if you're easily offended, please don't read this post, i can accidentally do just that
i want to learn about radqueers
now, if you chose to click "more" and read further, i want to say i'm anti rq... was anti rq? still am??? i don't know. the thing is, i realized i never really listened to any of you guys, nor have i ever encountered you personally. i think that's wrong, and i want to know more about your views
i don't guarantee i'll change my mind about this, but i promise to stay respectful in discussions. if i say something you find offending, please politely explain this to me, i genuinely don't understand you but want to
you can reply (but i can't reply in comments, technical issues), reblog and add something, send me asks (you can do it anon). please stay nice to me, i'm coming from curiosity here and not judgement
tonetag for all listed questions: /gen
1. i saw a carrd about paras. beside the big three, those are just kinks? am i getting this right? why would you choose a paraphilia label if you know you'll probably get hate for that, if you can easily pick a kink label and you'll be safe among adults?
2. what's your views on big three? i'll be honest, i hate pedophiles and zoophiles, it's obvious reason - they're harmful. i was a pedo victim too, still heavily traumatized. why would you support them? do you actually support them?
3. if someone's anti radqueer, are they hurting anyone? if yes, then how exactly?
3.1. what if they're against transIDs?
3.2. what if they're against paras?
4. if someone claims to be transdisabled, transautistic etc, any transcondition - don't you think it's disrespectful to people who actually live through those experiences, don't have any choice and face ableism no matter of how they identify?
5. what does your identity as radqueer mean to you?
6. what's your hard taboos? what/who you'll never support?
***
thank you in advance. i appreciate anyone who might spend some time to answer
