This may sound a little bitter and I'm okay with that honestly. I think I've gotten over you, mostly.

I've gotten over being led on by you. Being made to feel like I ment something to you, like I'm desired by you.

I've gotten over putting energy into "us", into chasing after you and into getting your attention back when you suddenly changed your mind.

I've gotten over being dropped in the middle of everything because you got bored.

I've gotten over going back to 'friendship' and having to pretend to support your latest relationship in order to not lose you entirely.

Or at least, I thought I got over it.

But I obviously haven't, have I?

Because as sick as it sounds and as bad as I feel for it immediately?

Knowing you were dropped just the same way as you drop people that have no good use for you? It kinda left a bitter sweet taste. I'm sorry you got hurt.

I find it kind of stupid how 'half full' vs 'half empty' is framed as an optimist/pessimist thing. If it starts full and gets halfway drained, it's half empty. If it starts empty and gets halfway filled, it's half full. If you don't know the starting state it's both simultaneously.
