Just got the idea of delayed stuffing

Maybe because of a curse or a medical reason, a guy eats but feels like he isn’t sated, as if he didn’t eat at all. He would end up eating a huge amount of foot and still feel nothing, as if the food disappeared into thin air.

That is until it hits him all at one. He gets these really sharp cramps and his tummy suddenly starts growing, trying to accommodate all the food he previously ate all at one.

something similar to this could be dehydrated food! It's small and shrunken when dry, then expands to full size when eaten/wet. He could eat a ton of dehydrated food thinking its some kind of snack like popcorn without realizing what it is, when later feels his stomach start to swell up as the food begins to grow and expand
