i think it's really fun when a rly specific trope is super popular in one particular medium but in other ones it's just totally unheard of. it's the time knife. visual novel players are suuuuper used to death games but many others encountered them for the first time in squid games. the other day my mom showed me all excited the summary of a super original novel she found and it was about a girl who got reincarnated as the main character in her favorite fantasy book

if youre against body shaming, then you HAVE to be against body shaming men too.

that means no more micropenis and small dick "jokes".

that means no more neckbeard "jokes".

that means no more "jokes" about moobs / man boobs if someone has told you that it makes them uncomfortable (/ dysphoric).

that means no more mocking men (and women, but i see this targeting men more often) with flat asses.

that means no more mocking men for having long hair.

that means no more mocking men for having a "pedo 'stache".

that means not mocking trans men who dont want to medically transition and respecting their boundaries.

that means not mocking intersex men whose intersex variations you dont personally understand.

be against body shaming ANYONE.

Personally I don't really understand why we are so anti-solidarity these days, but I don't like it.

"I relate to your struggle because it sounds similar to my struggle, therefore I want to help you with this the way I would have wanted to be helped myself" is pretty much the baseline of allyship. For whatever reason, though, it's almost become a matter of stolen valor and stealing the spotlight, and frequently I see it rejected outright.

I just don't get it. Personally I am thrilled when someone who Isn't Like Me reaches out to share help or even just an encouragement. I don't really see it as an out group "making it about themselves" if they're just trying to say they've experienced similar and sympathize.

Here's the little game of switcheroo that PDB played that he will never admit to us and probably won't ever admit to PT either.

That "my transfem friend said so and I am doing it for her!" Is just him making his transfem friend culpable for his transphobia. The reasons I don't like and don't trust Taxxon could fill a small novel so I won't get into that here, but by saying this he made her responsible for any of the stupid shit that came out of his mouth. He buried the lede and levied responsibility of his words onto the reputation of a trans woman rather than have the balls to stand behind what he said as an individual. He used Patricia Taxxon's status as a trans woman to give his words more validity. This is literially just transmisogyny.

PDB is not a an ally. He's exploiting trans girls and specifically in this instance is exploiting PT to find an acceptable group of transgender people to use as an outlet for his transphobia. A cis man is triangulating trans women and trans men against one another for his own entertainment, at Patricia's expense more than anyone else's.

Pocket Deer Boy is the one that dragged Patricia Taxxon's reputation into the fray to put on the line. He is the one that shone a spotlight on her.

And he is hiding behind her like a little coward because he was told to fuck off.
