i keep thinking about how it feels as if we have developed ourselves an obsession with "healing" these days – and a friend said something that really stuck in my head – "if you're part of a community where you're always trying to heal, then that means that you always need to be sick". like i think that we're all taking this ideal of healing too far saying that everybody needs therapy all the time and resetting your gut biome or surrounding yourself with positive energy or whatever it is that you can come up with. you're always focusing on something that is "wrong" and that needs to be eliminated, after which everything will be okay again. it all sounds like just another way of maintaining an illusion of control over your life and i don't think it's doing us any good

YOU ARE NOT SELFISH‼️
Vetted by : @sar-soor @communistchilchuck @90-ghost
and, this is a legitimate campaign. It's #174 on the list of fundraisers that have been verified by @el-shab-hussein and @nabulsi .
Support a Family from Gaza During the War 🙏
Important 💢
Dear Friends,👋
My name is Ahmed Alanqer, and I live in Gaza with my wife Dina Almnasra and our four children. The war has destroyed our lives and made us live in constant fear. I have lost many family members, my life, my university, and my dearest loved ones. I don't know if I will survive or not. I fear becoming just a number in this long war, and I fear dying without meaning.
I accept death in Gaza, but I cannot bear to see what remains of my family die in front of me. We desperately need financial assistance to leave Gaza and protect my family.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Recently, Donations to our campaign have stopped, and I don't know why. I know many have stopped supporting Palestine due to the prolonged war, but please do not forget us. We ask you to share our story with your friends.
Every contribution, comment and donate can make a big difference.
Please contribute through our donation campaign link: https://gofund.me/35c30c67
Thank you for your support and prayers.Sincerely,🙏

Hey guys Karam ( @karamrafeek ) reached out to me to share his fundraiser, so pay attention and please don't scroll by
Karam is a software engineer student from Gaza in his last semester. But his dreams of graduating as a successful engineer were shattered when the genocide began in October and his family's home and university were destroyed by Israeli airstrikes.
Now, Karam and his family live in a makeshift tent with insufficient necessities of life. To make matters worse, Karam's mother battles incurable diseases aggravated by the harsh conditions of displacement, extreme cold, and no access to proper care.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Their only ray of hope lies in the possibility of seeking refuge outside the Gaza Strip, where Karam can continue his studies and provide better care for his sick mother.
Please donate and share to help Karam rebuild his life and escape genocide.
JULY 14: €9,827 out of €20,000 goal

I am Ahmed Al-Nabih from Gaza, and this is my twin brother Abdul Rahman. I am 30 years old. I used to live a beautiful life with my family and my brother. The idea of marriage was on the table and we were going to continue our lives in our beautiful house, but something happened like a nightmare. The war came and took all our dreams and destroyed our house. Our lives became very difficult and arduous. We lived in tents. In the extreme heat, my mother suffers from chronic diseases, heart disease, blood pressure, and diabetes. Please help me save my family and my elderly mother. I ask for your support and participation. A small donation makes a difference. I have only collected 1,60euros in about five months! Thank you all!❤️🙏

it really hurts me to see so many gazans asking us for help, though that's through no fault of their own. they've been forced to use a social media site that they're probably not familiar with (because tumblr has kind of faded out of popular consciousness), to interact with us in a second language, to distinguish themselves from the scammers who are taking advantage of genocide, and to ask strangers for help. i don't think there are any cultures where it's easy to ask for help like this, but i'm intimately familiar with how humiliating it can be in arab culture. please be kind, gracious and helpful to the gazans in your inbox. this is a desperate time for them, and in addition to the physical danger inflicted by "israel", the prices of basic resources in gaza are extremely high due to scarcity, and those that manage to escape to egypt are financially exploited by landlords there and have an extremely difficult time finding work due to their unofficial status as refugees. these families will continue to need our help and i hope we can all continue to provide it to the best of our ability.

"Help me and my family escape this raging war in order to survive."
My name is Eyad Sami.
I have been married to Amal Mahmoud for thirteen years, and we have four children: Sami, Mohammad, Sarah, and Saad. We are from Palestine, specifically the Gaza Strip, which has been under siege for over eighteen years.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Now, we no longer have a home, and my family lives in a refugee school in the Al-Zaytoun area of northern Gaza, while I live in a tent in Deir al-Balah. I haven't seen my children or my wife for over eight months. My children and wife are suffering from continuous bombing, lack of resources to live in peace, and a shortage of food and water. Here, I am enduring severe psychological and physical pressures due to my inability to be with them and meet their needs.
Tumblr media
I ask anyone who reads my story to look upon us with compassion and help me raise even a small amount of money so that we can leave this country and find a safe place to live. We seek a country that offers us safety and a decent life, far from wars, genocide, and lack of security. We need shelter, food, water, education, and healthcare for me and my family.
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
My previous account was verified by many people, but unfortunately, it was banned, and I had to create a new account. Please share my new account and help my family reach a larger audience for support and assistance.
🙏🙏
Thank you

Help Siraj and his family to relocate to a safer area!
Tumblr media
(post originally written by @malcriada- ty for making this btw🖤)
i wanted to make another post for Siraj @siraj2024 because his fundraiser has been stagnating lately and i am very worried about him and his entire family. BEFORE YOU START SCROLLING BECAUSE OF YET ANOTHER FUNDRAISER POST, PLEASE GIVE ME JUST A MINUTE OF YOUR TIME! Siraj and his family just narrowly escaped not one, but two massacres in the span of a few days. relocating to another area after attacks from the IOF may seem like an obvious choice for many, but you have to understand that every relocation costs money! money for a new tent, money to replace the things that had to be left behind, money for transportation, and so on. not to mention what happens to those who are simply too sick or too weak to go on another arduous trip to the next location. Siraj is a loving and dedicated father to three wonderful children. his wife and him want nothing more than to offer their young kids a chance at education and to enjoy their childhoods they were robbed of. he wanted to raise funds to rebuild their beautiful family home that took 10 years to build, but relocation to a safer area is a more pressing matter right now. his new short term goal is: $10,000 CAD so far, this family has raised $7,139 CAD / $10,000 CAD, which means they still need $2,861 CAD to reach their short term goal. please, give what you can. everything counts. and follow @siraj2024 who updates his blog regularly with news from Gaza. he sometimes has to walk several kilometers just to be able to access the internet and he still tries to come online as often as he can. every amount helps, no matter if it's $5 or $50. every little thing costs money, so please don't discount your small donation! not to mention that small donations do add up if enough people donate.
taglist for reach under the cut (sorry- please let me know if you do not wish to be tagged in the future. no hard feelings- my moots and i are just trying to hit as many people as possible and understand if getting tagged throughout the day by multiple people is overwhelming🖤) ---

Mentality, Discipline, Emulating your Ideal Self
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’m starting a new series called Chic Girl Mentality. I’ll cover all sorts of things that you need, and perhaps a reality check or reminder or two. 🤍
Discipline is sexy. Discipline is one of the sexiest things you notice in a person.
What makes discipline so sexy? Why is a person who is consistent with their habits, goals, achievements so attractive?
No one is born naturally fit with a six pack, your talents and intelligence will 100% go to waste if you don’t hone them continuously - you need to be disciplined to be your best.
Discipline is hard.
It’s also what helps us overcome hardship.
Going from overweight to a healthy body; working on your confidence; upskilling yourself, getting a degree- these are “hardships” that one overcomes.
And the only way to overcome is to be disciplined and work towards your goal.
When other people - or even yourself - see the work that goes in for you to be you, the first trait that jumps out is resilience.
Resilience shows mental strength. Mental strength shows dependability. Because it shows you’ve overcome hardship.
Discipline also means that you have a standard. You have a certain level of self respect, you respect yourself enough to look after yourself.
Sexual discipline, for instance. That’s the first thing I look for in a man. Sexual discipline relays a lot of information- the level of being impulsive, respectful, “in charge”, in control of themselves and their emotions, behaviour, etc.
Which is why disciplined people are perceived as more likely to be successful- it shows you’re proactive, you’re tenacious, etc.
And that’s exactly how it culminates into confidence.
This is how you build confidence.
Only when you are disciplined towards your goals, will you achieve them - and achieving them will give you a sense of satisfaction and “yes I did it! Even though it was hard!” - it creates a sense of security and self reliance.
You’re seen as put together, mentally strong and capable, you’re seen as dependable.
Whether friend or partner, you will - if you have a healthy state of mind - always gravitate towards people who are dependable.
Dependable people are secure. They’re secure about themselves, their decisions, they can overcome mistakes or bumps in the road.
Disciplined people are also perceived to have a very strong level of self control. Controlling your impulses is one of the most difficult things to do as a human being. Whether it’s binge eating and drinking, watching brain-rotting shows, lazing around - they are examples of you not having self control.
Self control and discipline go hand in hand. No one really enjoys working out or eating clean or studying for their betterment, but self control allows you to do these things. It shows how much you trust and value yourself. Making the decision you know is wrong for the sake of being comfortable shows that you do not have self control, you are not secure, you are not safe and you are not dependable.
How you treat yourself shows other people how you treat others. Now, you could have personal issues but still be sweet as sugar to everyone you meet - however, this is a ticking time bomb. You’re overextending yourself. Overextending yourself does not show your authentic self! And why do people connect to one another?- because they feel that the person in front of them is “real”, authentic.
Discipline is sexy, ladies. Remember that.
