LIVE: There’s a key vote on net neutrality and the whole Internet is watching

Starting at 10am ET today a key congressional committee will vote on the Save the Internet Act – the best bill we have to restore net neutrality.

Unfortunately Big Telecom shills on the House subcommittee voting today have already proposed dangerous amendments that could completely gut the bill or leave gaping loopholes for Internet providers to block, throttle, and charge Internet users new fees for access.

To get a clean bill that restores net neutrality passed need to show them the WHOLE INTERNET IS WATCHING.

Here are the best things you can do to help:

3. Call your lawmakers to demand they vote for a clean bill to restore net neutrality.

Honestly, I don't mind crediting. But often I find images on google, so when I try to Imagine Search and it comes up with pages and pages of other places where it's posted, I easily get discouraged. I know, there are other things to do to help, but having to wade though all of it can really turn off people who do wanna credit your work. Just saying, from personal experience.

Hey fanartists, please watermark your work! Include your tumblr url somewhere on your fanart.

I’m saying this because I did a little test to see what would happen if I could reverse image check a piece of ML fanart. Not to my surprise, there were 50 results for pinterest, weheartit, and instagram and it was hard to find the link to the original artist that was buried in these search results.

And before anyone tries to be dumb and add this comment, stolen art is NOT the artist’s fault, even if they didn’t watermark their work. Whether the piece is watermarked or not, you’re a dick if you repost it without permission. (Lmao long ago when I had my art stolen, I had some selfish entitled people come up to me and say it’s my fault for not watermarking. LOL? Get outta hereee.)

Artists often will not watermark their works, or keep their signature very small, because they are very kind and want their audience to access the full quality of the artworks they produce. Unfortunately, there are dicks that take advantage of that kindness to steal artworks, and often the artist will lose recognition for their work.

I think it’s safer to watermark your work and have the quality drop a little, than to have people blatantly steal it and your name be completely lost in the masses!

So, I just went to Walmart and got some Mountain Dew Code Red, right? My mom got a Pepsi Zero, which she had me throw away. Being the dumbass that I am, I tried to throw it into the trashcan from all the way across the room. It HIT THE CEILING, and then my dog promptly ran to it. Before I knew it, Mickey had the bottle IN HIS MOUTH and was chewing it like a toy. So that's a thing-

My brother went to get a pan to make fudge brownies. As he was leaving, my dad asks "You putting something in the brownies?" (My bro's a stoner). At that point I started cracking up.

"Yeah, fudge." Was his reply. So I laughed again. When he left, my dad looked at me, very seriously.
