Dick had found them in the cave, doing what should've been training. Eager to meet his hero, Dick had surprised them both by breaking up what would've been an intimate moment.
"Is Superman going to be my new dad?" Dick had asked with a knowing smile as he cozied under the protection of Superman's cape.
"No." Came Bruce's immediate reply. Dick was not dissuaded, however, and Superman found himself charmed by the interaction. It wasn't often he got to see Bruce teased like this.
"Can I at least tell the other kids you're dating Superman?" Dick asked, grin no less wider than the first.
"Absolutely not." Bruce responded, slightly flustered.
"What if I told everyone I saw you kissing Superman?"
"Dick." Bruce's voice held an edge of warning which failed to intimidate and instead amused both Dick and Superman.
"Okay, okay! We get ice cream with Superman and I won't tell a soul!" Dick suggested. Bruce glared at the attempt at extortion, but before he could say anything, Superman smirked at Bruce.
"I like ice cream."

It’s crazy and fucked up that being yourself is actually the solution.

thinking about how not only are all kevin's friends gay, he also personally orchestrated all of them meeting their partners. he recruited neil, which brought him into andrew's life. and he sent jean to usc. "it's better if everyone is straight" but then he single-handedly played gay matchmaker for everyone he knows

idk thinking about how sometimes you have to show up for people you aren't that close to, because sometimes you're just the person who's there. sometimes you invite a new friend to a party and end up having to sit with them through a panic attack. sometimes you run into an acquaintance on their worst day and they need to talk about what happened. sometimes someone is crying in a stairwell and you're the only one around to ask if they're okay. and none of this is "trauma dumping" or whatever the fuck it's just being there for people because you're the one in the room with them.
