Hi there!
I'm back! Boy oh boy…so much has happened since I regretfully deleted my original blog (www.chasefear.com). Unfortunately, I can't retrieve my old blog posts. :( I tried to renew my domain name, but it costs a lot of money now. So here I am as "Runderstruck," a cross between running and wonderstruck. Wonderstruck: (adjective) experiencing a sudden feeling of awed delight or wonder. And for me, running does just that - it allows me to feel sudden euphoria. I'm going to start off this blog the same way that I started Chase Fear. With a quote. This time, it's one that I wrote myself. "We need to stop chasing the starting line. Just show up and start. We should strive to chase the finish, but we should never finish the chase." So, what do I mean by this? It's pretty simple. A lot of people have goals or dreams, and a lot of people spend a lifetime wishing, hoping, and yearning for their goal(s). We need to step up to the plate and just start. The simple act of trying screams loudly - I know this all too well. And, we have to keep moving forward. Whether or not the goal feels like a mile or a marathon, with relentless pursuit, anything is possible. The rocks, mountains, and forceful winds all serve a purpose. They make us stronger, so in return, we cross the finish line as different people than when we started. This doesn't just count for running, but with anything in life. But most importantly, we should never stop dreaming or making goals for ourselves. Never finish the chase.
