i think it’s funny when someone acts really angry about something you say online. could be whatever. and you check their profile and go. oh wait. you’re literally 14. nevermind. talking about this with you is like 100% useless. and they go “my age has nothing to do with this” like actually your age has everything to do with this. when you are 14 literally everything is influenced by how fucking 14 years old you are.

hyperfixation sucks I think just a little too hard about a guy who isn't even real and I could start crying any second

sometimes you're gonna go through periods of creative flatline. you're gonna be unable to create art that you're satisfied with. you're gonna look at your work and nitpick the anatomy or perspective and you're gonna get frustrated because What Happened! you were making art no problem! and, that's okay!!! the ocean can't always dance. volcanoes can't always bellow. everything needs a breather; a little bit of dormancy before it can show off a spectacle again. let your pen rest a bit. you have time to enjoy the quiet before the next storm comes.

honestly really sexy of tumblr to keep follower numbers private. how many people are following me? you'll never know unless I tell you. maybe it's a million, or a thousand, or five, or maybe it's just you. maybe you're the only one here, all by yourself, unable to see if there's anyone standing next to you.

and you'd never know, because status here is based on opinion and not numbers; how popular you think someone is is a vibes-only calculation, and besides the chronological algorithms-optional feed, it's genuinely the best thing tumblr's ever done.
