i LOVE your mothwing design, what were the inspirations behind it!

aa tyy! here's an image explaining my thought process but i'll go in more depth-

her main design inspiration was the patterns moths have on their wings irl. i've seen a bunch of people in the fandom do that for their mothwing designs and at this point i can't imagine a mothwing that doesn't kind of look like a moth hehe

aside from that, her colors are mainly taken from sasha's design. the only exceptions being her muzzle, cheek fluff, paws, and underbelly color + her eyes + and her inner ear and nose color. those she got from tigerstar.

her body type is very similar to sasha's, which is why i intentionally drew my medicine cat app. mothwing design in nearly the same sitting pose as sasha. i really wanted a chance to show off how alike they are

i made her look mainly like sasha at a first glance, but the majority of her details were inherited from tigerstar. i thought it would fit well with how the clans initially didn't know he was her dad. if you weren't aware of that info you weren't going to notice but once you do, you can spot them everywhere

she has the same forehead triangle, same ear shape, similar fluff on her back/neck, her cheek fluff matches his, she inherited her ear tufts from tigerstar's mom, leopardfoot, and she has thicker fur like him.

i did a (mostly full) tigerstar family tree, and i think this shows off the passed down traits pretty good!
