Bashkortostan is not a monument to the oppressors and executioners who oppressed our people! More than 50,000 beloved sons of our people suffered as victims of Stalin's repressions. Besides us, Tatars, Sivashs and even Russians themselves went through this path. By Stalin's order, entire peoples were repressed: Chechens, Ingush, Balkars, Karasai, Crimean Tatars... Our national elite, clergymen were massacred and martyred as a result of various tortures. We do not allow the slaves of the cursed Stalin and other adulterers to pollute the land of Bashkortostan and Muslim lands!

Life without compromise. Conscience without impurities. Words without falsehood. Such a person, of course, will not survive in our thoroughly cynical world, and even more so in a fascist regime.

It must be remembered that the perverse "selection" carried out by law enforcement agencies leads to the most wonderful and fearless people, often the best representatives of a nation entangled in crisis, ending up in prison. And these people have virtually no chance of being freed as a result of an exchange, because the media do not report on them. We must not forget about them. We have almost become deaf in today's crazy kaleidoscope of fake news, false morals and false values. But suddenly, from afar, a beautiful sound reaches us, quiet, but deafening, the all-encompassing hellish roar and clang. And we bow before those heroes and visionaries who, in their desperate loneliness, sacrifice themselves for humanity and pay the highest price.
-- Pianist Alexander Melnikov in an open letter concerning the death of pianist and political prisoner Pavel Kushnir in August 2024

⭕️ " To prevent it from happening again " - Moscow activist posts quotes from Shalamov's story about Stalin's repressions at central metro stations The activist who posted them said that she chose quotes from the story of the poet and writer, former political prisoner Varlam Shalamov, "Cherry Brandy" - about the death of the poet Osip Mandelstam in a Stalinist camp. The action is timed to coincide with Varlam Shalamov's birthday, June 18. According to her, the leaflets are made by hand - " for greater authenticity and suffering ", like the camp writers themselves. " These are quotes illustrating the bas-relief with Stalin [the bas-relief erected this spring in the Taganskaya metro station]. They describe his true essence and the essence of the regime under which millions of people died in the camps. After all, now they are erecting monuments to Stalin again, there are flowers lying near the bas-relief on Taganka, and no one objects. This is a betrayal of those who fought Stalinism for us . Mandelstam is one of the most famous victims, but there are millions of them! What is also important to me is that he is a writer, like Shalamov, and I also write. And the same thing is happening to writers now, take the Kamardin case, for example, it is the most famous, but he is not alone . We are obliged to remember not only Mandelstam, but also millions of others. After all, both Shalamov and Solzhenitsyn wrote first and foremost so that this would never happen again."

Leftists sometimes take at face value the right-wing’s claims that the family makes people into conformists; that religion demands subservience, patriotism, and loyalty to the state. But Navalny shows how family, faith, and homeland can become both the stakes of political struggle and a source of strength within it.

Activist Viktor Gilin held a solo picket in Perm Perm activist and engineer Viktor Gilin held a solo picket outside the regional administration building today. He held a poster that read, " A double ecological catastrophe on the water is a consequence of the war in Ukraine and systemic sloppiness. Putin, go away! " The reason for the picket was an accident in Krasnoyarsk Krai, where on June 8, about 30 tons of diesel fuel got into the Yenisei due to a sunken tugboat. According to Gilin, the damage could be catastrophic. The fuel will spread along the current and reach the Arctic, causing damage to nature. He believes that the tragedy was possible due to systemic negligence - the authorities did not draw conclusions from past accidents, and businessmen ignore safety rules. Such incidents, according to the picketer, are a consequence of irresponsibility and greed. Gilin is convinced that the responsibility lies with the country's top leadership: " I believe that it is time to stop such activities in such a high position. It is simply 25 years of shame ."

Would like to have seen that
The discussion heated up when Polish MP Grzegorz Braun took the floor, declaring that he did not want to take part in the "anti-Russian crusade" of those gathered. "It is not our business to call for a change of government, to teach democracy and criticize everyone around us," he said, calling for "normalization instead of escalation." Shouts erupted in the hall, and Russian oppositionists did not leave his comment unanswered. "You are a member of the European Parliament! It is shameful to be a Putinist in 2025!" Yashin exclaimed, pointing a pencil at Brown. "I want to tell a fan of Mr. Putin that we envy you the fact that you can sit here in a freely elected parliament and express your opinion without fear of being poisoned like Alexei Navalny, or shot in the back like Boris Nemtsov, or imprisoned like Ilya and me," Kara-Murza retorted. "Appreciate this freedom!"

Today Dima Pchelintsev turned 33. Congratulating him is very simple - just share this post with your friends Today is the 2,756th day that Dima will spend behind bars on a fabricated case. In 2017-2018, Dima was brutally tortured with electric shocks to make him take the blame for creating a non-existent terrorist group and sign testimonies against other activists. The torture was so unbearable that he tried finish with you in the pre-trial detention facility cell. Dima was the first of the defendants in the case to tell about the violence in order to protect those who would later be detained and tortured in the same way. For this, he was tortured with electricity again. Throughout 2019, Dima, along with the other defendants in the case, spoke about the evidence fabricated against them and exposed the security forces. He was offered to surrender, admit guilt and get 5 years, but Dima chose the path of struggle, for which he received 18 years of strict regime. Today, seven long years later, when there are now thousands of political prisoners in the country, individual voices are no longer heard. But we must not forget Dima. After his son was born, Dima got his second wind. He realized that he can no longer just wait for the thaw, he needs to bring it closer with all his might every day. Dima is limited in his abilities, so he does the only thing available to a political prisoner - he speaks. Not long ago, Dima's family launched this telegram channel @pchelintsevlife and he shares his thoughts and feelings, music and films here, posts excerpts from his book and writes articles on psychology. But most importantly, he publishes here evidence that is important for our country, inaccessible to the naked eye of a person on this side of the fence. Dima's channel is a ray of light in the darkness of totalitarianism. It reminds us that every political prisoner is not just a name on the list of a thousand names, but a real person with his own ideas, dreams, and experience. Today, for the first time in eight years, Dima celebrates his birthday with his family on a long date. When Dima leaves the date on Friday, calls home, let them delight him with a story about new subscribers, comments and reposts. Tell your friends and acquaintances about Dima, send this post to all chats and repost it to your channels. For you, it's one click, and for Dima, it's huge support for months to come.
