I've been resource gathering for YEARS so now I am going to share my dragons hoard

Floorplanner. Design and furnish a house for you to use for having a consistent background in your comic or anything! Free, you need an account, easy to use, and you can save multiple houses.

Comparing Heights. Input the heights of characters to see what the different is between them. Great for keeping consistency. Free.

Magma. Draw online with friends in real time. Great for practice or hanging out. Free, paid plan available, account preferred.

Smithsonian Open Access. Loads of free images. Free.

SketchDaily. Lots of pose references, massive library, is set on a timer so you can practice quick figure drawing. Free.

SculptGL. A sculpting tool which I am yet to master, but you should be able to make whatever 3d object you like with it. free.

Pexels. Free stock images. And the search engine is actually pretty good at pulling up what you want.

Figurosity. Great pose references, diverse body types, lots of "how to draw" videos directly on the site, the models are 3d and you can rotate the angle, but you can't make custom poses or edit body proportions. Free, account option, paid plans available.

Line of Action. More drawing references, this one also has a focus on expressions, hands/feet, animals, landscapes. Free.

Animal Photo. You pose a 3d skull model and select an animal species, and they give you a bunch of photo references for that animal at that angle. Super handy. Free.

Height Weight Chart. You ever see an OC listed as having a certain weight but then they look Wildly different than the number suggests? Well here's a site to avoid that! It shows real people at different weights and heights to give you a better idea of what these abstract numbers all look like. Free to use.

When they were younger no one could really tell them apart, his mother kept insisting they were playing tricks and pretending to be each other again but they really weren't...

Sometimes they'd wake up in each other's beds but what really confused Stanley and Stanford was when Stan lost his tooth and the next day Ford was the one without it...

It wasn't until differences started appearing that they began to realise they've been swapping bodies. With Stanley always on the move and Stanford always hiding his hands, neither really thought to check the hand count until then.

Luckily for Ford it had been happening less and less until it came to a complete stop when Stan was kicked out. Good. His brother had messed with his life in more ways than one.

It was probably years later that Stanford found himself waking up with 5 fingers in each hand. Back then he remembers going on a "normal human" rampage and was filled glee...Now, however? He can only feel dread when his whole body screams with pain.

(Or: Stanley and Stanford swap bodies every day as kids and it happens less and less as they grow up.

Stanford finds himself in Stanley's body again at a specifically bad tkme for his twin)

Thinking about an AU where Stanley actually did make it big. He's still living out of his car when some music agent hears him singing to himself or playing guitar or something, and they offer him a chance.

In a matter of weeks, he's got a song made (he goes for a rock/metal genre) and he drops a single. By a stroke of luck, it explodes. Suddenly he's handed a check with more zeros than he's ever seen. He's practically handed a nice apartment and an entire team of people to help him make more music.

Stan throws himself into it. He crafts a whole rocker persona, starts calling himself Knucklehead because it sounds cool. He's half convinced it's all a dream, half sure this is his greatest ruse yet. Soon he's released another single. Then another. Then an album. Then they're asking if he wants to do live shows.

His music plays on radios, on TV. There's posters with his face on them (he keeps his mullet for the scruffy rocker look). He hears people rave that his songs are raw, are real (they are; they're all about past mistakes and fighting for survival and being a disappointment).

One day, Filbrick Pines gets a letter in the mail, from the son he's seen on TV the past few months. It's a check, for exactly one million dollars. "Told you. -Knucklehead" is all the message says.

Stanford, who is still in college, has watched from a distance as his brother rose to stardom. He's proud of him, and one day he gets a letter in the mail, too, which is just Stan gloating for three pages before he asks if they can catch up, admits that he misses his brother. Stanford packs up and goes to him immediately.

Idk where this all goes, but I've been unable to get @pinkchup 's art of Stanley playing guitar out of my head since I first saw it. Just- Stan getting a chance to get on a stage, scream sing his feelings, and prove his dad wrong. Yeah.

(OH and years down the line, when Stan's retired, Dipper and Mabel discover that one of their favorite classic rock/metal singers, Knucklehead, is actually related to them when they find a box of Stan's old merch in his office. O.O)

Actually the first few months of Stan and Ford anomaly hunting together goes terribly because Stan is weirdly good at it? But in a horrible way? And it drives Ford crazy.

Like, they’ve encountered Fae of every culture and Stan chats with them like they’re buds at a sports bar (he’s too clever to be tricked). One time they were just north of Scotland and Ford glanced over at Stan’s call of “look at this great horse” and he was?? Riding a Kelpie?? That’s not even how that works?? They’ve had more productive conversations with the swamp monsters in Louisiana than the preachers. Ford once stumbled out of their hostel on the Yucatán Penisula in the middle of the night to see Stan awkwardly… comforting La Llorona? They didn’t talk about it in the morning just because Ford doesn’t even know what to say. It took him eight months to get the wood giant in Gravity Falls to trust him back in ‘80 and Stan is hand-feeding the South African Grootslang in about 15 minutes in the ripe old year of, like, 2018.

Ford just gets frustrated because most anomalies find him kind of intrusively scientific and therefore off-putting. He ends up sidelined while Stan has all the fun and his bad attitude only makes him more unapproachable. Stan has to sit him down and remind him anomalies used to trust him when he was a twenty-something with a bit of optimism left in him; it’s Ford’s own lingering paranoia that’s leaving him out of the party. That’s the thing about research with his brother- Ford has to learn how to have fun, and not just be on the run. That what he really needs to look into at the end of the day isn’t the creatures around him but the mirror— and when he finally lets go off his research as a tactic to find himself, or a method of survival- that’s when he starts to succeed.

Stan is still better at it than him, though. It’s a point of contention. He’ll… get over it eventually. Maybe.

Both are made entirely with ink and dip pens! A mix of calligraphy and India inks, I believe. I was given the inks but never really bothered to read what types lol

I also kinda prefer the original in how the lines work, but figured I might as well experiment. It hides the odd lines from where I was just guessing at where different limbs should go without having a sketch much better lol. And it actually takes less time than you’d expect, only like 5 hours! More than most of my drawings, but most of that time was also spent finding a nib I liked, colors, and having to wait for everything to dry before I could do the other color, lest the two mix together

Finally made myself a background for my laptop! I’ve had the laptop for what? Four years? And hadn’t ever changed the background from a basic ass image of a galaxy it came with

So this was born!

I spent way too long working on this drawing. But every fungi, plant, and animal is a specific type that exists within the Amazon rainforest (with the exception of ferns and such which I just used random images from rainforests as inspo)

I dunno if anyone would want to, but feel free to use this as your own computer background! I plan on making custom icons for apps like Firefox, Minecraft, and discord eventually, but who knows when I’ll get to that lmao

A young FrakenStan Ford desperately cobbles together because he shot Stan with a crossbow? That's a Stan we all know and love. But a Stan remade by a post-Weirdmaggedon Ford? Now that's something to ponder...

Stan and Ford set off to sail the high seas on the Stan o War II, looking for anomalies, adventures, and brotherly bonding. Ford grateful to not only be back on his Earth and free of Bill but reunited with his brother; Ford who does everything he can to help Stan cultivate his own identity after his life revolved around saving Ford for 30 years. Stan who appreciates that, loves that, but--- when the storm strikes, or the Leviathan appears, or they're being chased down by a horde of ghost ships--- well, Stan can't help but be the sacrificial piece. Stan who's OK being lost to the briny deep if it means saving his brother. Ford watches Stan go from warm and bright and alive to cold and wet and dead on the deck of their dream ship in the blink of an eye. Ford who's gone through too much to let this be the end; Ford who has a lifetime of science (spellwork) and an ocean of resources at his disposal.

Stan who ends up the same but... saltier? Skin grafted with soft corals and hair of Aiptasia. Bits of dolphin brain in his head and fishing line tying him up; ancient oceanic stones holding his knuckles together and a stance that sways with the pull of the moon like the tides. He was always built to live on the water so maybe he's no so different--- but quieter without wind and moodier when storm clouds roll overhead. He can't swim as well anymore which is a touch ironic, but he can find his way anywhere on any body of water. Ford's not entirely sure what he made out of his brother and the magic he pulled from the waves of the sea but Stan is still here, still alive, and still complains about his back pain in the light of the early morning sun, so Ford doesn't push the question. He just lies in the shallows when they're docked up and digs his fingers into the soft sand under the white rollers and whispers thank you to the ocean that may have pulled him away from his brother when they were young, but it always, in the end, brought them back together again.
