Title: "Alex's Diverting Secondary School Fiasco"
The Morning of Setback The morning timer boomed like a foghorn in a thick ocean of tangled sheets and slobber covered pads. Alex Bolger's eyes snapped open, and his heart beat as he understood what day it was — his most memorable day of secondary school. This was all there was to it, the day he had been fearing throughout the mid year. He looked at the clock. 6:30 AM. He had a lot of time. Or on the other hand so he thought.
Alex's morning schedule began with him stumbling once again his own feet as he mixed up. He ran to the washroom, just to slip on a maverick bar of cleanser, sending him sliding across the tile floor. He collided with the wall, yet wonderfully figured out how to remain upstanding. "Extraordinary beginning," he mumbled snidely to himself.
After a fast shower, during which he figured out how to get cleanser in his eyes and push over each and every container in the shower, Alex staggered back to his space to get dressed. He had spread out his garments the prior night — a carefully arranged outfit intended to make him look cool yet easy. He snatched his #1 Shirt, the one with a snide motto that read, "I'm Not Late, I'm Only Right on time for Later," and pulled it on. He then acknowledged he had placed it on in reverse and back to front.
Once dressed appropriately, he hurried down the stairs for breakfast. His mother, consistently the hopeful early riser, welcomed him with a plate of hotcakes molded like cheerful countenances. "Mother, truly?" he moaned. "I'm not five."
"All things considered, you didn't appear to mind last year," she answered with a wink.
Snatching a flapjack and stuffing it into his mouth, Alex got his rucksack, which felt strangely weighty. He opened it to track down that his more youthful sister, Emily, had filled it with her assortment of squishy toys as a "school year kickoff" trick. "Emily!" he shouted, however she was no place to be seen. Likely stowing away, laughing at her prosperity.
