Sorry I wasn’t on today, I’ll be back on tomorrow night though! I went to my nephews flag football practice today and OH. MY. GODDDDDD those kids were cute. Ages 3-4 they are little tiny adorable bundles of joy and it was the highlight of my entire week! Anyway, I always say this but hmu if we haven’t had the chance to plot!!

Sage had been working late and on her way out, a notebook in hand and a backpack slung over her shoulder, when she heard what she thought was someone crying. She had assumed that she was pretty much alone at this point so the sound had startled her, knocking lightly on the door she pushed it open, “Hey..” Sage started only to stop when she saw Aspen, “Are you okay, babe?” the other singer asked, her voice soft as she took another step into the room and shut the door gently behind her. 

it was a bad night and sitting in the studio with the lights off all she could do was sob. she had started working on something she had written and ended up falling asleep. hand over her mouth she closed her eyes as she cuddled into the over sized sweater she wore. she thought she would be alone for a while, but the sound of the door opening scared her. wiping her face frantically she looked up as she started getting her things. “ i’ll be done in a sec.”

“ oh hi ! ” jovie chirped they got to leave early today and was on their way to find lunch so when the girl asked to leave jovie nodded and held out their hand to her, “ well i got off early today so i was going to go grab lunch and then maybe go shopping. you can help me pick out a new outfit ! ‘m supposed to go to the opera but i don’t know what i’m supposed to wear with that. ”

As soon as Jovie nodded her head Sage grinned, happy to have any kind of distraction at this point. Taking her hand that had been held out she listened intently and then nodded, “That sounds great.” She said, her voice cheerful, “The opera? Damn. Probably something pretty fancy, this should be fun. Who invited you to go to the opera?”

Sage shrugged her shoulders, “I try my best to keep my personal life personal..my music is personal enough. But, I do have a famous ex...we just ended on really good terms and we are still pretty good friends so I guess that’s why the fans don’t really care. Plus, we weren’t too famous when we dated anyway.” She explained, “I’m sorry they are all over you though, I could imagine that that is horrible.”

ryder was currently leaving the hospital from visiting his little brother who recently got injured. as he was about to hop into the elevator a familiar voice suddenly caught his attention causing him to spin around until he was greeted by a face he’d hung out with a few days ago. “ oh hey, funny seeing you here. ” the male started off, flashing her a smile before he continued on. “ i was actually just about to leave. ”

Returning the smile Sage nodded, “Yeah I was...talking to someone about coming and singing to some of the patients, you know, cheer them up and stuff..” she lied, though she had been meaning to try to figure that out at some point. “Are you busy or would you want to hang out, maybe?”

Sage had been cooped up in the hospital all morning, she was trying her very best to keep a smile and cheerful exterior but it was getting harder every day and she wasn’t sure how to cope any more. After the hospital she had worked in the studio for a few hours but she was about to bust if she didn’t do something that was mindless soon. Wondering out into the lobby she went up to the first friendly face she saw, “Hey babe! What are you up to today?” she asked, her eyebrows raised and a hopeful look on her face. “I was hoping you might want to get out of here and do...anything else really?”

A small smile was on Sages lips as she listened, she had people comment about calling her mom but she normally  just ignored it but it made her feel a little better that they did the same thing to other people too. “Maybe you should make a post about it, encourage them not to do it if you don’t like it?” 

| ◤° [ ‘ I’M NOT SURE when it became cool to go on people’s instagrams and start calling them your parents on every picture they have together, but it gets kind of old. ’ and sensitive. not that anyone would really remember that he’d almost been a father. almost. ‘ like i don’t want to be anyone’s dad any time soon, so i’m gonna need them to stop saying that carmen and i are their ‘parents’ and shit like that. ’

“At least you got caught up on some, apparently, much needed rest?” Sage offered, a smile on her face. “If you want I could make an appointment and then you could just go have some fun during that time to make up for your day of rest?”
