Setup: Sometimes the most beautiful moments are also the most fragile. He found himself standing in a romantic place with the person he loved most, ready to pour out his heart and ask the question that could change everything. His speeches were heartfelt, his emotions raw, his future seemingly within reach until jealousy barged in uninvited. Just as the words of forever were about to fall, MC arrived, desperate to stop what was never hers to claim, turning each proposal into a test of loyalty and love.

The rooftop of the Onchinus base glowed with strings of golden light swaying gently in the night breeze, casting warmth against your face. The city stretched out beneath you, glittering like scattered jewels. You nudged his arm with a playful grin and said, “This wine tastes more expensive than you do.” “Careful, sweetheart, I could make you pay for that later.” His smug smirk widened, and he drawled, though his eyes betrayed how hard he was fighting to keep his nerves hidden. Alright, loverboy. Don’t choke. You’ve stared down enemies, survived ambushes, and walked through fire. But this? This is scarier than all of them. Just breathe. Focus. It’s her. You don’t care about vulnerability around her. She’s the only one who makes your heart stumble, the only one who makes you feel alive. You’re not built for sweet words, but tonight you will be, for her. He reached for your hand, fingers curling over yours, thumb brushing the skin as if grounding himself. “You always said I only smile when I’m plotting. Maybe that was true before. But you,” his voice dipped lower, almost reverent, “you’re the reason I smile simply to exist. You make this cruel life worth it. You’re the only future I want.” He drew out the velvet box, voice husky and shaking. “So, will you-” Just then, hurried footsteps scraped against the rooftop tiles. The door slammed open, and MC burst through, hair windswept, eyes wild. She had clearly been following him, her jealousy palpable as if it had dragged her here. “Wait!” MC’s voice cut through the air like a whip. “Sylus, you told me once I was your everything. That I was your promise. How can you give that to her?” His chest constricted. Of all times… she picks now? Not here. Not in front of her. No interruptions, not this moment I’ve fought myself to find the courage for. His jaw clenched, anger seething, but then, your hand squeezed his tightly. “Breathe, Sylus.” You whispered, your thumb brushing small circles into the back of his hand as if anchoring him. He met your gaze briefly, letting the softness in your eyes cut through his rising fury, before turning his head. His eyes flicked toward MC, a dangerous gleam sparking there. “Promises?” His tone was sharp, mocking. “I keep mine. And the only one I made that matters,” he turned back to you, his voice softening in a way it never did with anyone else, “Is to her. Always to her.” Then, without breaking the moment again, he knelt properly and lifted the ring box to you. “Marry me, and prove to her what I already know, that you’re mine, and I’m yours.” Your eyes welled with tears, and you nodded through a trembling smile. “Yes, Sylus. A thousand times, yes.”

The quiet pier was a sanctuary, the moon’s reflection stretching silver across the waves. The wooden boards creaked beneath your feet as you leaned into his shoulder, pointing at the stars. You pointed and teased, “I think I can see the Big Dipper up there.” You giggled, while Zayne’s chuckle rumbled, though his pulse was racing wildly.

Alright. Just say it. You’ve spoken in surgeries more complicated than this. You’ve calmed patients on the brink of death. But this, this is your heart on display. No textbooks, no medical procedures, just your trembling honesty. Don’t fail her now. She deserves to know that she healed you in ways medicine never could. He rose, guiding you gently up with him, his hand trembling but steadying when it closed around yours. “You know, I’ve lived my life healing others' wounds,” he said slowly. “But what you did, what you do every day, is heal something no medicine ever could. You gave me a home when I thought I’d never have one. You gave me hope.” He drew out the box with shaking fingers. “So I want to spend forever thanking you. Will you-” The sound of hurried footsteps on the boardwalk made him falter. MC appeared from the shadows, having trailed him here with single-minded desperation. Her face was pale, voice cracking as she called out, “Stop!” MC’s tone was sharp as glass. “Zayne, don't do it! You once said I was your light. That you’d always be mine. Don’t do this!” Zayne’s hand trembled. No. Not here. Not now. Don’t ruin this. She has no right to stand here and steal the air from the moment I’ve been building up to. This is for my Snowflake, the only one who matters now. However, sensing his distress, you closed your hand tightly around his, grounding him. You brushed your thumb gently over his knuckles, tilting your head so your eyes caught his in the moonlight, silently urging him to breathe. “Zayne. Look at me,” you whispered, your voice steady. He turned, eyes locking on yours, finding strength in your steady presence, then back to MC with a rare hardness. “That was before you became my past,” he said firmly. “She’s my present. She’s my future. My everything.” Then his gaze returned to you, eyes softening instantly. With his voice steadier than before, he lowered himself to one knee. “So, my love, will you marry me?” Your lips quivered into a smile as tears spilled freely. “Yes, Zayne. Always.”

The greenhouse glowed under candlelight, the scent of jasmine thick in the air. Vines curled overhead, their blossoms nodding gently in the stillness. You tugged his sleeve with a soft giggle. “Xavie, you’re staring again.” “S-sorry, moonlight.” His throat tightened. She catches everything. Of course she does. You’ve hunted monsters in silence, endured endless nights without sleep. And yet, these words feel heavier than a thousand battles. Why is it easier to face the unknown than to face her smile? Because if you lose to monsters, you bleed. If you lose this moment, you’ll never forgive yourself. Say it. Tell her she’s the light you’ve always been running toward. He took a long breath, his hand brushing a fallen petal from your hair. “Moonlight… You know that I’ve never been good with words,” he admitted. “But with you, silence has never been empty. With you, it’s full of peace. You’re my safe place, my light in all the dark I’ve known. So, will you-” The heavy doors of the greenhouse creaked open with a crash. MC strode inside, her footsteps echoing on the stone tiles. She had clearly been waiting, watching, until she could no longer stand by. “Wait! Please don’t finish that!” she shouted, voice ringing out. “Xavier, you told me once I was your star. That I was the only one who understood you. How can you turn your back on that?” His chest squeezed painfully, but your hand slid up to cradle his cheek, your thumb brushing across his skin as his breath hitched. Your foreheads nearly touched, and you let your gaze linger in his, silently promising he wasn’t alone. “It’s okay, my prince. It’s still our moment.” His eyes hardened, jaw set as he turned toward MC. She doesn’t get it. She never did. The quiet she mistook as a connection was just silence. The real connection… It’s right here, in the way my soul stops running when she looks at me.“You don’t get to rewrite me,” he said sharply. “She is the one who understands me now. She’s the star I’ll never stop chasing, even if it burns me alive.” Then, ignoring MC’s stunned silence, Xavier turned back to you with a shaky exhale. He reached into his pocket again, holding out the ring box. “Stay with me forever. Will you marry me?” Overcome, you whispered, “Yes, Xavier. I’ll stay with you for the rest of my life.”

The art gallery was hushed, your laughter bouncing softly off the high ceilings as you pointed at one of his recent pieces. “The lady in the painting looks jealous.” Rafayel’s smirk flickered, but his heart hammered against his ribs. Don’t shake. You’ve charmed crowds, commanded attention, dazzled strangers. But she’s the only one who strips away your armor. She’s the only one who makes your tongue stumble. No clever lines. No playful games. Just truth. And that terrifies you, but you want it more than anything else. He drew in a slow breath, taking your hand as though it were the only thing tethering him. “My flame...You know that you've turned every blank canvas of my life into color,” he murmured. “You are my most beloved, and cherished muse, my masterpiece, my forever. Everything I paint, everything I am, is brighter because of you. Stay with me always. Will you-” The sharp click of heels echoed through the empty gallery. MC had followed the trail here, her jealousy etched into every step as she entered the room. Her voice rose, desperate and angry. “Hold on!” she demanded. “Rafayel, you can’t really be doing that, I hope you're not doing. You once painted me. You called me your muse. You said your art existed because of me. How can you throw me away for her?” For a brief instant, the words stung, dragging him backwards. She was a distraction, a surface-level inspiration, a shadow I mistook for a flame. But you, my treasure, your existence sets my world ablaze. You’re the fire that never burns out. You squeezed his fingers gently, your other hand rising to rest lightly over his heart as if to steady its frantic pace. He leaned subtly into your touch, drawing a shaky breath at the warmth of your presence. “Breathe, Rafe.” His lips curved into a cold, sharp smile as he turned to MC. “You were just a study back then. She is the art I will spend eternity perfecting. Don’t confuse the two.” He then turned back to you, his smirk softening into something achingly sincere. Lowering himself, he held out the ring. “Be mine forever, my love. Will you marry me?” Your breath caught, and your eyes sparkled with tears. “Yes, Rafayel. I’ll be yours forever.”

The observatory dome glittered with a million stars, and the universe sprawled endlessly above. You leaned against the cool glass, your eyes reflecting the galaxies beyond. “Caleb, you look nervous,” you teased softly. Of course I’m nervous. I can command fleets, hold the skies in my palm, and control the very pull of gravity. But one word from her has me undone. I’ve carried the weight of worlds, but never the weight of her answer. Don’t stumble. Don’t falter. She’s your anchor, your constant, your one law of the universe you never want to break. He exhaled slowly, his gaze never leaving yours. “All my life, I’ve lived by gravity, by laws of pull and force,” he said. “But you, you are the only pull I will never resist. You’ve been my constant, my balance, my reason. Stay with me forever, as my partner, as my love.” He drew out the ring, hand steady despite the racing of his heart. “Will you…” A loud clang echoed as the side door burst open. MC stormed in, her cheeks flushed, eyes glistening with possessiveness. She must have followed him after he left his place, unable to bear the thought of him giving his heart away. “Stop right there!” she shouted. “Caleb, you once said I was your partner. That you’d protect me, always be mine. Was that all a lie?” Caleb’s fist curled, fury threatening to spill, but then your hand brushed against his, grounding him instantly. You stepped closer, your shoulder brushing his arm, and let your fingers lace fully through his, squeezing once in reassurance. He glanced down at you, eyes dark but softening at the quiet steadiness you gave him. “Caleb, you don’t have to listen to her anymore. Remember it’s still just us,” you whispered, your eyes steady and sure. His gaze locked onto MC, dark and unyielding. She doesn’t understand. I would have given her protection, but I’ve given you my soul, my skies. She was a companion in duty. You are the reason I live, the centre of my orbit, the one who holds my gravity together.“I didn’t lie when I said that to you years ago,” he said, voice low and absolute. “But that was when you were a chapter that I overread. She, however… She’s my whole book, my entire story. And no one is rewriting that.” With that, he returned to you, the stars glimmering above as though urging him on. Kneeling fully, he extended the ring. “So let me write the rest of this story with you. Will you marry me?” Your tears fell freely as you smiled, your voice firm despite the emotion. “Yes, Caleb. Always and forever.”

On the rooftop set, the scene was supposed to progress with MC barging in to deliver her scripted interruption. Instead, Sylus’s Evol flared, energy cuffs snapping around her wrists and ankles mid-line. He didn’t even glance at her, eyes locked on you as he went down on one knee. “Marry me.” The director’s (Shar) voice cracked across the set. “Cut! Mr. Sylus, you can’t bind the actress in restraints!” MC squealed. “I can’t move!” While all this was happening, you burst into laughter, covering your mouth. Sylus only smirked and murmured: “Realistic practice.” You teased back, “Down bad much?” MC groaned. “This is harassment!”

The pier was just a soundstage, but when MC appeared for her line, Zayne’s Evol responded instinctively. A sheet of ice shot across the boards, freezing her shoes in place before she could finish speaking. Without missing a beat, Zayne stayed kneeling before you. “So, my love, will you marry me?” The director shouted, “Cut! Zayne, no freezing the supporting cast!” MC shrieked, “My feet are stuck!” You doubled over, laughing so hard you nearly dropped the prop bouquet. Zayne only sighed quietly “Consider it rehearsal.” You teased “You’re so desperate, Doctor,” MC huffed “This isn’t in the script!”

In the greenhouse set, when MC raised her voice, radiant beams formed into a cage of light around her. Xavier’s focus never wavered from you, his eyes soft, voice steady. “Stay with me forever.” The director groaned “Cut! Xavier, stop trapping the actress in a light prison!” MC rattled the glowing bars, yelling “Let me out, this isn’t funny!” You snorted, clutching your stomach “Xavier, you literally made a jail for her!” He only whispered, almost under his breath, “Not acting.” You teased “Wow, jail just so you could propose? Obsessed much?”

During the gallery shoot, MC stormed in dramatically, but Rafayel’s Evol lit up without hesitation. Flames coiled across the floor, hemming her out of the scene as he spun the ring between his fingers before kneeling toward you. “Be mine forever.” The director nearly screamed “Cut! Rafayel, you’re not supposed to burn the supporting role off stage!” MC flailed, screeching “The floor is literally lava!” You burst into uncontrollable giggles. Rafayel only smirked “Method acting.” You teased, wiping tears of laughter “Sure, method acting or hopelessly whipped?” MC whined “This is an unsafe workplace condition!”

The observatory set went sideways when MC entered with her cue. Caleb didn’t even blink when his Evol slammed her flat to the ground with crushing gravity. He lifted the ring box toward you, his tone unwavering. “So let me write the rest of this story with you.” The director threw her headset down. “Cut! Caleb, you can’t crush the actress during the proposal!” MC groaned dramatically from the floor, “I can’t even breathe! Help...” You nearly fell over laughing, “C'mon, Caleb. You have to behave, you just pancaked her this time!” He exhaled, almost amused. “Needed the practice.” You teased, “Practice or obsession?” MC muffled angrily from the floor. “Help me up before I sue you, bro!”

honestly they make me cry because why are people so good at writing such angsty things 😓😓 though I have to admit sometimes I read angst when Im in the mood but it definitely makes me tear up a little

Razor, thoughts about Flins? Will he be AuraFarming!Ororon or Emo!Cyno?

I feel like he’d probably get along with Rosaria. His animations look fun and it’s interesting they went electro but added so much fire because of the lantern and the supernatural aspect of his job.

He looks cool, but unfortunately I have this Nilou agenda I’m committed to and Lauma will most likely further it. I don’t know exactly what she does, but let’s be honest, ain’t no way Hoyo is stopping at Lunar Charge. It doesn’t even matter if she’s niche. There’s Nilou teams with Kinich. Flins unfortunately will have to wait unless he does something that makes him one of my favorite characters.

Also Aino is confirmed hydro! And in all likelihood going to follow the trend of Collei, Lynette, and Kachina. I’m no betting man but with the Flins trailer showing Lunar Charge and Lauma being dendro, Aino working for both and Ineffa is definitely what they’re doing. Not to mention that new event weapon this patch.

Act 1 Usagi - Sailor Moon

Two years later...

11(?)-year-old Rafayel was collecting shells by the seashore when he turned to the full moon in the night sky. “The moon is exceptionally bright tonight.” the reincarnated Lemurian muttered. “is something going to happen?”

Elsewhere, 15-year-old Sylus managed to escape to the safety of his underground refuge, having evaded the gunfire that that ravaged the N109 Zone. Taking one last look at the full moon in the sky, he shut the double vacuum doors behind him.

The next morning, in the Tsukino household...

“Usagi, you're going to be late.” Tsukino Ikuko yelled to wake her daughter up.

“Acck!” Usagi shrieked in horror. “Mom, I can't believe you.” she hurriedly dressed for school. “Why didn't you wake me up? See you later.” grabbing the bento Ikuko prepared, she rushed off to school.

“I'm late!” Usagi ran to school. “I'm late! Why does morning have to come? I'm so sleepy...” turning a corner, she accidentally stepped on Luna and tripped onto the pavement. “A cat?” she turned to the injured black cat lying on the ground. “A bandage?” she spotted the band-aids on Luna's forehead and peeled off the band-aids, revealing a crescent moon underneath. “I'm late for school!” she panicked and hurried off.

In the Dark Kingdom...

“Come forth, O apparition, servant to our Great Ruler.” Jadeite summoned a humanoid figure from the summoning podium. “Now go and bring me the Legendary Ginzuishou.”

In Juban Public Middle School...

“Tsukino Usagi!” Sakurada-sensei rebuked her constantly tardy student. “Late again? Go stand in the hallway!”

“I can't believe she's making a frail, dainty girl like me stand out here.” Usagi pouted. Upon hearing her stomach growled and remembering she skipped breakfast, she took out her bento box.

“Tsukino-san!” Sakurada-sensei stormed out to the hallway. “What is the matter with you? That attitude is why your test scores are so low.” she showed the blond the 30-mark test.

“Usagi, you're unbelievable.” Osaka Naru looked at her best friend pitifully after homeroom ended and Usagi was allowed back into the classroom. “None of the other girls eat in class.”

“I can't help it...” Usagi whined.

“How'd you do in your exam, Usagi?” Umino Gurio stepped in. “I didn't study too much this time.” he proudly showed up his 95 mark. “Exams are basically just games, you know.”

“By the way, did you hear about the jewellery store robbery in the city?” Yumiko asked at lunchtime. “There have been a bunch of those lately.”

“But Sailor V caught all the robbers.” Umino piped in.

“Who's that?” Usagi inquired.

“Don't you know?” Umino was surprised. “She's a famous heroine who wears a sailor suit. Some say she's actually a special investigator for the police.”

“I've never heard of her before.” Usagi admitted.

“I can understand why someone would want to rob a jewellery store.” Yumiko noted.

“I know, right?” Kuri squealed. “The way the gems sparkle so beautifully.”

“Naru-chan doesn't your family run a big jewellery store?” Usagi pointed out.

“We've actually got a huge sale going on.” Naru informed. “There are even some thing in our price range.”

“I'll drop by on my home.” Yumiko beamed.

At Jewellery OSA•P that afternoon...

“The one in the middle is a 'pigeon's blood' ruby.” Naru introduced the jewels in the display window. “It's worth one billion yen. Of course, none of these are on sale.”

“So many people.” Usagi gawked, entering the jewellery store.

“Step right up.” Osaka Mayumi shouted into the loudspeaker in her hand. “There are some great discounts. Welcome home, Naru.” she greeted her daughter. “It's crowded but have a look around. Any of Naru's friends get a special discount.”

“We've never got a sale before.” Naru admitted. “I wonder what's gotten into Mom.”

A dejected Usagi walked out of the store as she looked at her 30-mark test paper. “Time to go home.” she crumped the test into a ball and threw it over her shoulder.

“That hurt, dango atama.” Chiba Mamoru caught the crumpled up paper in his hands. “Trying to raise some bumps on my head, too?”

“These aren't 'bumps'.” Usagi fumed, turning around. “They're called 'buns'.

“30 percent?” Mamoru instantly saw the failing mark. “You need to study more, Odango atama.” he handed the test back to Usagi.

“Mind your business.” Usagi scowled and stormed off. “So, this is the Sailor V everyone's talking about.” she passed the Game Center Crown and spotted the Sailor V poster on the bulletin board. “Come on. Let me beat you, zombie face.” she snapped, playing on the new Sailor V game.

“Usagi, are you on your way home from school?” Furuhata Motoki noticed Usagi playing the arcade game. “There's a little trick to beating this guy.” he offered his assistance. “Now's your chance. If you don't hurry, it'll be all over.” he urged, releasing the on-screen Sailor V's ultimate attack after pushing the zombie back and ending the fight.

“It's the cat from this morning.” Usagi heard a cat's meow and looked down to see Luna.

“She's been wandering around here for the past few days.” Motoki informed.

In the Tsukino household that evening...

“Welcome home, Usagi.” Ikuko greetd her daughter. “I ran into Umino earlier. He said he got a 95 on his test. How did you do? 30... percent...” she stammered after Usagi handed her test paper over. “Usagi! If you're going to bring home scores like this, you can just quit coming home.” with that, she locked Usagi out of the house.

Meanwhile...

Ami and Zayne were on their nightly videocall via FaceTime.

“Auntie Saeko's working double shifts again?” Zayne asked.

“Hm...” Ami responded, tapping her mechanical pencil on an open page of her notebook.

“How're you doing at Tenkū?” Zayne asked, referring to the Japanese sister school of Skyhaven Medical School.

“Good enough.” Ami answered.

Later that night...

“Foolish humans...” Morga, the youma Jadeite planted, mocked, gathering energy into a glass cylinder. “They have no idea that their new jewellery is absorbing their energies. But it seems like the item I seek isn't here...” she noted.

“Mom?” Naru poked her head into her mother's room and gasped when she saw her mother's scary grin.

In Usagi's room...

“What was that for?” Usagi was awakened from her nap by a claw slash across her nose.

“This isn't a bald patch.” Luna rebuked. “My name is Luna. I've been looking for you, Usagi. Thank you for removing those bandages. They disabled my speech and disrupted my ability to search. Usagi, this isn't a dream.” she insisted, seeing Usagi had returned to sleep. “All right then.” she sighed. “This is a present for you, Usagi.” she handed Usagi a golden brooch. “Listen, Usagi. Right now, there are things happening in Tokyo that the police can't handle. You are the chosen Senshi and you have a mission; you must gather allies and defeat the enemy. And then, you must find our Princess.”

“Luna, the brooch is glowing.” Usagi gasped, her new ornament starting shining.

“Call out these words: Moon Prism Power, Make Up!” Luna instructed.

“Moon Prism Power, Make Up!” Usagi called out her transformation phase. Just then, her odango covers started blinking. “That voice...” she recognized Naru's cry for help. “It's Naru.”

“It appears the youma has shown itself.” Luna concluded.

In the darkened Jewellery OSA•...

“No!” Naru screamed, cornered by Morga who was impersonating her mother.

“Keep your hands off Naru!” Sailor Moon barked, just as Tuxedo Kamen arrived on the scene as well.

“Who're you?” Morga demanded.

Turning to the crescent moon in the night sky, Sailor Moon introduced herself, “I am the pretty Senshi who fights for love and justice, Sailor Moon! In the name of the Moon, I'll punish you.”

“Awaken, you slaves who have offered your energy to our Great Ruler.” Morga shouted, summoning the controlled humans to the jewellery store. “Get her!”

Sailor Moon was forced to dodge the first brainwashed woman's attack.

“What are you doing, Sailor Moon?” Luna asked, seeing the Moon Senshi running from the attacking women. “Fight back.”

“How?” Sailor Moon screamed, now finding herself cornered. “I can't stand it!” she wailed, the 'Supersonic Waves' attack, now amplified by her odango covers knocked the women out.

“Stop crying.” Tuxedo Kamen stepped in. “Now's your chance, Sailor Moon.”

“Now's your chance, Sailor Moon.” Luna agreed. “Take your tiara and call out the words 'Moon Tiara Boomerang'.”

“'Moon Tiara Boomerang!” Sailor Moon tossed her powered-up circlet at Morga, hitting her on the chest and turning her into dust.

“I didn't find the Legendary Ginzuishou, but I did find something worth seeing.” Tuxedo Kamen admitted and leapt out of the opened window. “My name is Tuxedo Kamen.” he told Sailor Moon. “Sailor Moon, I'll remember your name.” he promised and vanished into the night.

The next day...

In her Tenkū Medical School uniform, feeling a raindrop falling, Ami made a run to the library before the rain turned into a downpour.

Chapter 1

Millennia later...

On the fifth of September 2021, Li (nee Guang) Hui An gave birth to the Li's only son, Zayne Li Shen.

Five days later, Mizuno (nee Ono) Saeko gave birth to her only daughter, Mizuno Ami.

And thus, our story continues.

Five years later...

“Saeko?” a surprised Li Qiao spotted his former junior schoolmate from medical school having breakfast in Linkon City's most famous dim sum restaurant.

“Senior?” Saeko put down her steamed pork bun on her plate.

“Dear, who is this?” Mrs. Li asked her husband.

“My younger schoolmate from medical school.” Li Qiao told his wife. “Are you on a family vacation?” he turned to Saeko, noticing the other two people at the table; Ami and her father.

“Koichi-san suggested a family trip to gain inspiration for his next painting.” Saeko replied.

“I see...” Li Qiao nodded slowly. “Do you mind if we shared a table?” he asked. “Server!” he called for a server nearby and was presented with a menu card.

“Be careful!” young Zayne had already pulled out the packet of tissue from his sling-bag when he saw little Ami bite into a soup dumpling and resulting in the scalding soup inside the dumpling to burst all over her blouse.

“Shen-er, take little Ami to the sinks to clean up.” Li Qiao instructed his son.

“Yes, father.” Zayne nodded.

After the joint breakfast...

“You look happy, Shen-er.” Li Hui An noticed the small smile tugging at her son's lips.

“I made a new friend.” Zayne admitted, his ears turning red. “Ami... she agreed to be my pen-pal.”

“How wonderful.” Li Hui An gushed.

A week later...

Ami penned her first letter to her new friend: Dear Li Shen...

Months later...

Zayne received his (air-flown) birthday present from Ami along with a note: Happy birthday, Li Shen. I don't know what you like, so I made some hanami dango.

P.S: Li Shen, this is Ami's mother. Please reboil the dango before eating.

Zayne got in quite a good amount of practice with his Evol freezing the hanami dango.

One week later...

Ami received Zayne's birthday present, along with a note: Happy late birthday, Ami. I do not know what to give you, so mother picked this Les Rosalies Tea Set.

A year later...

Both Li parents and Saeko watched as Zayne and Ami had their brows furrowed in concentration, a chessboard between them.

“Checkmate.” Ami declared proudly.

“Another match.” Zayne insisted, his pride refusing to let him concede defeat.

It was the following year that changed the dynamics between the two children.

Mrs. Li was the first to notice the absence of Saeko's husband on the Mizuno family's yearly visit and she led the recently divorced woman into the kitchen.

Meanwhile, Li Qiao retreated to his study as Zayne and Ami set up the chessboard.

“You're distracted.” Zayne noted after he won his fifth match in a row. “Does it have something to do with why your father didn't come with you and your mother?” his concern then turned into a startled shock when he heard Ami let out a muffled sob. “What's wrong?” the older boy was instantly beside his best female friend's side.

Between Ami's sobs and hiccups, the bespectacled boy pieced together what had happened; her parents had been arguing for the last five months before deciding to divorce and her father simply just packed his bags and left once he received the divorce certificate.

After letting Ami cry herself to sleep, Zayne laid the sleeping girl on the sofa and draped a blanket over her. He then went to his room to retrieve the red envelope money he received during the Chinese New Year, informed his father he was going out for while and headed out of the door.

Half an hour later, Zayne returned from the neighbourhood candy shop with a slight bulge in his trousers' pocket.

That evening, the three adults watched in amusement as Zayne knelt in front of Ami, the unwrapped blue raspberry-flavoured Ring Pop in his hand and solemnly promised he would never let her shed a tear for as long as he lived.

Over the next three years, Zayne's and Ami's letters increased in frequency and in length; Ami eventually confiding of her intention to be a doctor like her mother with Zayne echoing similar sentiments in his letter.

One year later, with the inclusion of MC, the duo became a trio.

When the Mizuno mother-and-daughter pair dropped in for their annual visit, Zayne had taken Ami with him to pay a visit to MC. MC warmed up to Ami first, much to Zayne's displeasure; the blue-haired girl had been teaching MC to play Cat's Cradle and fold origami cranes.

And then, the 'incident' happened; Zayne had lost control of his Evol when Dawnbreaker took over and attacked MC, only to have Ami come in-between Dawnbreaker!Zayne and MC to shield MC. In an instant, the Heartbound Mark burnt on Zayne's and Ami's wrists, the pain forcing Dawnbreaker back into Zayne's subconscious and Ami to faint.

On the day before Saeko and Ami returned to Japan, Ami gifted MC an omamori she had gotten from the Shinto shrine at Linkon City's Japantown.

Chapter 4 (Finale)

Trigger warning: Major character deaths, suicide

Months later...

With Metalia's instigation, the Earth army rose in rebellion against the White Moon.

The Lunarian Royal Army was already decimated by the massive army's numbers, the Earth forces trampling over the soldiers' bodies to advance to the Moon Palace.

“Get to the Princess!” Stefanos barked to the Inner Senshi, he and Zephyr fell into defensive positions as they channelled their powers.

“Final stand?” Zephyr gave the older magic user a wry smile.

“You don't say.” Stefanos snorted.

“Ice Geyser!” Zephyr let loose a spiked ice tower to slow down the army's advance. “Ice Wall!” he then summoned a wall of solid ice to buy the Inner Senshi time to rush back to the Moon Palace.

“Thunder Palace.” Stefanos raised a hand into the darkening sky and released his charged up lightning, sending down bolts of lightning down on the Earth army.

Meanwhile...

Mid-run, both Sailors Mercury and Jupiter let out a startled gasp when the colours of their Heartbound Marks faded into grey.

“Those two...” Sailor Juipter whispered in horror.

“We don't have much time.” Sailor Venus urged the others onwards.

“We're already too late.” Sailor Mars hissed, the advancing Earth army was now nipping at their heels.

Moments later, the Inner Senshi found themselves engaged in battle against the Earth army.

Having successfully distracted the Inner Senshi, Beryl led off a small group and advanced to the Moon Palace gates.

At the gates of the Moon Palace...

“Let's conquer the Moon Kingdom!” the small portion of the Earth army, led by Beryl, roared. “The legendary Ginzuishou is ours!”

“Stop!” Prince Endymion placed himself between the insurgent army and the Palace entrance. “Stop this meaningless war.”

“Prince!” Beryl snapped. “Are you betraying the Earth? Curse you...” she turned her attention to Princess Serenity. “Take this!” she raised her sword to strike the Moon Princess.

Prince Endymion moved, placing himself between Beryl and Princess Serenity and took the attack.

Overcome with grief, Princess Serenity took Prince Endymion's sword and stabbed herself in the chest, killing herself.

With the Inner Senshi...

“Princess!” all four Senshi sucked in a horrified breath when they felt their Princess' life end.

“Everyone!” Sailor Venus ordered. “Use our strongest attack!”

“Sailor Planet Attack!” all four Senshi drew upon their Planets' magic and cast their ultimate combination attack that took out the attacking army around them, the final attack proving to be too draining for their bodies and killing them.

In the Chamber of Prayer...

With all her loved ones dead, Queen Selenity used the Ginzuishou to seal off Metalia and the remnants of the Earth army, before dying herself from exhaustion.

Much later...

Sailors Uranus, Neptune, Chariton and Rhouben arrived too late after the invasion of the Moon Palace.

“No, no, no, no!” Rhouben let out a heart-rending wail, seeing the fallen form of Sailor Mars at the Moon Palace's gates.

“The Space Sword...” Chariton's eyes widened when he noticed Sailor Uranus' weapon started shining.

“Even the Deep Aqua Mirror...” Rhouben gasped.

“They disappeared?” Chariton blinked when Sailors Uranus and Neptune were teleported to the Crystal Tower along with Sailor Pluto. “To the Crystal Tower.” he turned to Rhouben. “What in the world...” the two younger men hurried to the Crystal Tower, gaping in muted shock as the three Talismans met to summon the final Senshi.

“The last Senshi from the taboo planet...” Chariton whispered.

“The one Senshi that should never be awakened...” Rhouben breathed. “Sailor Saturn... has the end finally come?”

Without a word, Sailor Saturn swung the Silence Glaive down and brought an end to the Silver Millennium and its surviving inhabitants.

Chapter Three

Two days later...

Athene stirred from her slumber early in the morning (as per usual) and was startled to find Zephyr asleep on a cot at the foot of her bed.

“Good morning, my Lady.” Zephyr greeted, rubbing sleep from his eyes as he, too, stirred.

“ Zephyr?” Athene blinked. “When did you...”

“Late last night.” Zephyr replied. “Your mother, Her Majesty, has decided to send me as your study companion as per her agreement with the High Queen. My Lady,” he turned his head to look at Athene straight in the eye and pulled out a ritual dagger from his belt. With a quick slit across his left palm, he swore the blood oath, “With the White Moon as witness, I pledge my life and soul to Crown Princess Athene, to Sailor Mercury, through all my lifetimes.”

Athene let out a startled gasp and hurried to heal Zephyr's self-inflicted wound and. Unbeknownst to the two children, a silvery blue lily-shaped mark appeared on the inside of their wrists.

The next day...

Queen Selenity instantly noticed the newly-formed Heartbound Mark on Zephyr's wrist when the young boy presented himself before the White Moon Queen. “Young Zephyr.” the Queen held Zephyr back.

“Her Highness?” Zephyr blinked in confusion after Queen Selenity gave him permission to rise.

“What do you know about the Silver Guard?”Queen Selenity asked.

Years later...

“Happy coming-of-age, Chloris.” Princess Serenity and the gathered Senshi crowded around the of-age Jovian Princess.

“Thanks, everyone.” Chloris smiled. “I'm being called back to Io Castle last night.” she informed. “Turns out my father is about to choose my future husband.”

A week later, Sailor Jupiter returned to the Moon Palace with her new fiancé, Stefanos, in tow. Apparently, the red-eyed noble managed to win out against the other suitors in a martial tournament.

Queen Selenity, upon spotting the silvery emerald rose-shaped Heartbound Mark on Stefanos' inner wrist, wasted no time in inducting him into the Silver Guard.

“Zephyr.” Stefanos voiced, the two Silver Guards watched as the Inner Senshi folic with the Moon Princess in the royal gardens.

“Stefanos.” Zephyr returned the greeting with a nod.

“Is it alright for the Princess to be this carefree?” Stefanos frowned.

“Is something the matter?” Zephyr frowned.

“Nothing,” Stefanos looked away. “I might be thinking too much into it.”

Some time later...

“Good work on the final upgrade on the Eternity Main System, Zephyr.” Queen Selenity remarked, after Zephyr's report.

“Her Highness.” Stefanos reported in. “The Princess snuck out, again.”

“Understood.” Queen Selenity nodded.

Meanwhile...

Princess Serenity hurried back to the Moon Palace upon returning from Earth, only to be met with a fuming Sailor Mars at the doors.

“Princess.” the fire Senshi drawled.

“You went to Earth without telling us again.” Sailor Jupiter chided.

“One day you shall rule the Silver Millennium.” Sailor Venus reminded.

“You still have much to learn,” Sailor Mercury reprimanded, a stack of books in hand.

Sometime later...

“In recognition of Sergeant Xanthos' accomplishments in eliminating the pandemic on the minor asteroid Varda, I grant you the rank of Sergeant First Class of the Lunarian Royal Army. Wear your new rank with pride.” Queen Selenity bestowed Xanthos his new rank. “Let the celebrations begin!” the Moon Queen declared after all the decorations were granted.

“Princess,” Xanthos, now emblazoned by his new rank, bowed to his Planet's Princess. “May I have this dance?”

Time passes...

Rhouben, having been commissioned by Queen Selenity to paint a family portrait of her and Princess Serenity, arrived at the Moon Palace, where he chanced upon the Inner Senshi training their powers.

Said Neptunian noble was instantly mesmerized by Sailor Mars' flames.

Years later, at Princess Serenity's 18th birthday celebration party...

“Endymion,” Princess Serenity mumbled to her secret lover on one of the Moon Palace's high bridges. “We must not see each other anymore.”

“Why?” the Prince of Earth asked.

“People of the Earth and people of the Moon must not see each other.” Princess Serenity whispered. “That is God's law.”

Upon witnessing the royal couple kiss from a distance, it was then Chariton, who had long loved Princess Serenity, experienced his first heartbreak.

“Looks like Chariton found out about the Earth Prince and the Princess.” Rhouben noticed the Uranian noble's forlorn expression, seeing the sulking Chariton slink back to the Moon Palace's ballroom.

“I have a bad feeling about this...” Princess Enyo muttered, Rhouben dipping her in a dramatic manner.

Queen, a strange thought came to me: What if the LIs find out about each other? Because from the YouTube walk-throughs, it seems like MC is dating the five of them at the same time.

self-aware trope? or incorporating yt into their day to day lives?

hmmm... it's double-edged really.

it'll be a game of manipulation i think, yes - even zayne.

also, a testosterone competition between the five men.

however, i think mc has them wrapped around her fingers so maybe she'd win and get them all to agree to share or something.

but if we are talking about the game itself... it's designed in a way for the player to choose which among the five would they date, so the other cards could be considered a "what if" thingy, then the player can take their main's cards as the game reality.

it's like the precision wish where the player has the option to pull the cards only for their main li, then they could just skip the rest.

im not sure if my answer makes sense cause i should be sleeping right now, my brain is down to its last 3 dumb cells.

Bea, Alhaitham and Kaveh would make the worst in-laws, weren't they?

So, how do Kazuha and Heizou feel about being in-laws?

they’re cordial enough with each while on family gathering & etc, but behind the scenes you can always find kaveh bickering with alhaitham or biting his own nails, overthinking about his beloved daughter and hakim’s relationship.

on the other hand, because kazuha and heizou have been good friends for a long time, they rather like the idea of their families merging.

i like to think that kazuha appreciates ren’s confidence and perseverance in winning his daughter’s heart. the boy is stubborn and clumsy, yes, but he means well. if he didn’t, kazuha would have stepped in a long time ago.
