So i've had an idea for a Mages and Labyrinths (god i hope thats right i can never remember wha it's called) au/fic for a minute now, and i wanna know what in interest would be in me actually writing it perhaps. So heres some quick concepts for it.

Drider Lyle? Perhaps. Consider Beholder Lyle however.

But yeah, if anyone's interested i'll happily tell more about it in another post/do more art for it. I have had very limited interaction with Ao3 and the idea of making an account honestly kinda intimidates me. But if the people at large would want it, i'd do it to upload this typa thing.

Grrrrrr listen I was gonna wait to talk about this until my (probably) next art post, but it just hits me too specifically to not go ahead and ramble on it. Long rant about Everything Everywhere All At Once and Look Outside under the cut.

Look Outside and Everything Everywhere All At Once are both the same flavor of radical optimism in the face of existential entropy and terror to me, and it drives me insane how well executed they both are in that regard. Like:

With the knowledge or power you have or is at your fingertips, you could become something so destructive, so disillusioned or lost within the tide of said force that you'd be nothing short of a mad god. For the entire journey up to this point as well, you could've chosen to be cruel, uncaring, flippant and indifferent. They're either monsters, or one of billions of the same person, why does it really matter?

-and yet. No. I, want to care. I want to remain kind. Even if i am not the same, if i am but a fragment of who i was, extrapolated out into infinity, be it into the universe at large or across so many you couldn't count--i'll stay afloat, somehow. There are people who need me, and i need these people in turn. Hell, they're the reason im even still here right now despite it all. I want to love, to sorrow, to see those around me carry on and manage in their new lives that i helped to rebuild. I don't want to know more than the life i already have here, and even if i do, this life is what's important to me.

-and while Evelyn didn't have a choice in whether she knew about her alternate selves, and The Visitor didn't have any malicious intent in it's warping of humanity, i still feel that there are parallels to be drawn, but i'll maybe expand on that later, eh, who knows.

I should really rewatch EEAAO now that im thinking about this, but i feel like i got my point across well enough for now.

Point being, i love this new genre of existential/cosmic horror with kindness as it's main idea. It's so wonderful and refreshing to see.

ALSO!!! "This Is A Life" is PERFECT for the denial ending. C'mon. Several EEAAO tracks are but specifically that.

With the whole semi-canon voice thing and some poking and prodding under the microscope i came to a blatent realization about 3 weeks later than everyone else.
