fuck it copying the post from my side blog and using this one as the main blog because salad time???

for no reason other than i have a computer that functions again and i like the idea of getting thoughts out of my head.

it’s june 24 and my birthday was three days ago. this birthday was among my favorites i think i’ve ever had, but i’m also struck by the memory of the fact that there have been other birthdays in my life i’m sure i enjoyed just as much, but that the memories are now painful to think of because they were spent with people i don’t talk to anymore. like doug or courtney or whoever.

i don’t think things like my sweet 16 or prom are tainted, they were special in their own rights, and i’m still vaguely friendly with the exes from those times. but it feels like my 21st and 22nd and maybe even 23rd are just lost in the sands of time, so to speak.

but i don’t want to dwell on the possibility of 26 joining the ranks of birthdays i’d either rather not remember, or can’t actually remember. 26 was good.

i want to physically journal about it but i just don’t have the capacity to right now. and maybe i should journal somewhere more... stable and permanent than tumblr, like google docs? but idk. i’m here. i guess. i’ll see where this goes.

for now i’m okay, and i’m in a good place today, and i hope this continues.
