Checking out some logo designs that turn numbers into words either by rotating or removing areas. I love how the use of numbers for letters plays on the minds ability to perceive what it expects to read and see it as such.

Internet Drugs
Development work I produced to generate ideas for my final project
We were given a random audio clip and told to construct a video short around it. My work was based around a Timothy Leary quote - ‘Turn on, Tune in, Drop out”.
At first I didn’t realise the clip was meant as a psychedelic mantra for the counter-culture of the 60’s that Leary was a part of. I presumed that it was a negative comment on TV society.
From this starting point I decided to reappropriate the clip - turning it into a comment on how we are all vapidly addicted to the internet, particularly social media.

Soda’s Evil Twin - An Infographic About Sugar Intake:
As an initial idea for my Final Major Project, I’m researching sugary snacks and drinks, and how they are easily replaced by healthy ones. Infographics are a good way of looking through information in a visual way, with the usage of well-designed pictograms, charts and figures laid out in a way that is most user-friendly.
The following is an informative (and startling) insight into sugary content and intakes for adults across the western world.

“Consciousness is really only a net of communication between human beings. A solitary human being who lived like a beast of prey would not have needed it. Language serves not only as a bridge between human beings, but also a mien, a pressure, a gesture. You see, consciousness does not really belong to man’s individual existence, but rather to his social or herd nature.”
—The Gay Science, §354 (edited excerpt).
