I Feel Like Dean and Hannah,

while I really like their friendship, I'm also starting to ship them. I know that the actors are 25 years apart in age, but I can't help liking them. I've been playing catch up on the show. I was 2 seasons behind so have been watching season 9 and 10, and I just really like the idea of them. Yes, as friends and colleagues, but in a shipping way now, too.

I looked up the suggestions on ship names for this pairing and I like Dasher. To me, it's the best out of a bunch of not great choices. Combine the D in Dean's first name, with Hannah's last name, and just keep her last name lower-cased and it works, at least for me.

Kensi could only laugh as she watched her husband chase their daughter, Brandy, around the room. Both of them were having a blast and she loved watching the two of them together.

Deeks looked back at her and smirked. “You know, I think it’s Mommy’s turn to go after little missy. She’s been sitting there enjoying herself way too much.” He said to both of them.

She was about to reply, but then noticed that their daughter had run off. “Deeks, we need to find Brandy. She’s hiding somewhere.” The woman said to him a few moments later, worried.

He said, “I’ll take the upstairs and you take down here. We’ll find her faster if we split up.”

Twenty minutes later after Kensi had checked the living room, bathroom and kitchen, she heard giggling. A smile came to her lips and she crept over to the laundry room and opened the door. “There you are, Dandy Brandy. You scared Daddy and me.” She said and scooped the girl into her arms.

Deeks appeared at his wife’s side a few moments later. “Sorry, Kens, I didn’t - Oh. There’s our girl.”

A few moments later, the three of them sat down to dinner.

He shook his head. “Oh, no. No way. You’re looking at porn, Sugar Bear. Dirty, filthy old p-o-r-n.” He rested a hand against his forehead dramatically. “I’m not enough for my wife!”

She snorted and said, “This is gonna be a thing, isn’t it? When I wake up in the middle of the night because of that recurring dream I have, you’re gonna think I’m looking at porn.”

Deeks smirked and said, “Oh, yeah. It’s definitely a thing. So, what woke you up this time? That riding dream where you got trampled by a horse?”

Kensi said, “No. It was about our mothers.”

He shuddered at that. “Both of them? Oh God, I don’t want to know.”

She laughed. “It had to do with them being drunk, and dancing while wearing bikinis.”

Deeks choked. “Now I can’t get the image out of my head! Sugar Bear, you’re evil!”

Kensi smirked and said, “That’s what you get for accusing me of watching porn.”

“Something’s wrong and you haven’t been talking to Deeks. He’s worried. We all are.” Nell said as she sat down on the couch beside her friend and popped a piece of popcorn in her mouth.

Kensi reached into her pocket and pulled out an envelope. 

“What’s that?” Nell asked curiously and when the other woman handed it over, she took it and opened it.

Kensi said, “It’s an invitation to a baby shower. That’s the fifth one in the last few months. Cat, Mindy, Mandy, Tiffany, and Tiffany are all pregnant and having baby showers. Yet, I can’t seem to get pregnant.”

Nell moved the bowl of popcorn and reached for her friend’s hand. “Kens, I’m sorry that you’re struggling. You need to give your heart a break, though. You’ve been through so much the last few years. Emotional trauma, physical trauma, and moving.”

Kensi nodded and then said, “I know. I just wish that it would happen.”

Nell nodded and said, “It will. You and Deeks will have a family. I believe this with everything in me. You’re going to be amazing parents.” She said and hugged her.

EC Drabble # 1: *Life Is Not A Love Song*

Kensi laid on the sand and watched the traffic pass before she turned her attention to her husband. They had been through a lot in the last few years.

Being shot at, nearly blown up, getting head injuries, and being partially paralyzed; All of these were things they’d experienced at one time or another.

They’d had a hard time. A hard life, but it was worth it. Life is not a love song, that was something she and Deeks were both well aware of. They could lose each other at a moment’s notice.

She was grateful for the time they had together. Kensi watched him walk up with his surfboard. She laughed when he shook like a dog and sprayed water all over her. “You’re lucky that I love you.”

Deeks sat down beside his wife and kissed her. When the kiss ended he said, “Or what, you’d kill me? Then you’re really not gonna like this.” He scooped her up, ran back to the water, and tossed her in.

“You’re dead meat!” Kensi yelled as she came up from the water and chased him. It didn’t take long for her to catch up and dunk him in retaliation.

 Can anyone help me? I've been in and out of the Queer as Folk fandom since 2007, and I'm hoping someone can help me find some of my old fics that I'm worried are lost and I never got to back up.

I've been trying to locate them using the WayBack Machine, but was only able to find the titles and summaries.
