Oh man, 3 facts are too few!! But I'll try my best!

- I am bi and non-binary! I don't really know when I realized I was bi, it was more like a "cool then"! It was like I never had to come out to myself!

I haven't realized what I identify as in terms of gender though, I changed my mind quite a few times already, and until I figure it out I'm just going by non-binary!

- I have three guinea pigs, I love them very much sjlsfskl

The day I asked my parents if we could get guinea pigs I was half joking, my mom is terrified by animals and I thought we didn't even have the smallest chance to actually have a pet, but! She agreed, mainly because they're in their cage and don't wander around the house like cats/dogs/etc. would do!

- I've been struggling with mental illnesses for years now, I can't remember when it all started but I realized something was definitely wrong with me in 2014 when I was 17, and I was diagnosed with OCD that same year or a year later.

The day I knew I might have had OCD was actually pretty funny and even now I kind of laugh a little when thinking about it. Basically, I was dealing with OCD thoughts and rituals already but I didn't know it was OCD until the moment I saw people talk about it on TV and I was like. Wait a minute. And I told my mom about it and she replied with something like "yeah, you didn't know you had this?", and I literally screamed internally, I swear.

I said something along the lines of "NO OF COURSE NOT", and thought to myself "why didn't she tELL ME SOONER", and from that point on I got really focused on my compulsions and it got worse and worse because I was actually aware that it wasn't supposed to happen. But I always thought it was kinda funny that THAT was the way I discovered I had OCD. And what OCD was in the first place.

I can tell you, I was super into this First Trial! There was a time when I loved watching people play Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes, and reading this I felt the same stress I had watching those videos!!

Behind Closed Doors, part 3

Press the start button. Okay. I’ll try to calm down.

I find the timer in the upper left corner. It reads five minutes. Five minutes? There are three modules other than the timer. I flip the box over and find three more. Six in total. We’re supposed to solve six modules in five minutes. I’ve beaten a level like that before, so why is my heart all the way up in my throat right now?

“Judith, are you okay back there?”

I push the button.

“The First Trial will now begin.”

First trial? There will be more? If we survive this, that is.

“Judith, tell me what you see.” I’m getting tired of Prof calling my name. Why does he want me to call him by his?

I look to the right of the timer. “Six wires.”

“What’s the serial number?”

The serial number is on the top side of the box. G#MAJ7 “G-sharp major seven.”

“If the serial number spells a chord that uses a double sharp, pull out the third wire.”

Suddenly I forget everything I know about music theory. “Does it?”

“Yes! Pull the third wire!”

Still in a daze, I pluck a yellow wire out of the box. The light in the upper right corner of the module turns green. I feel a tinge of relief.

“Next!”

“There’s a brown button in the lower left corner. It says ’sfz.’”

“How many batteries?”

I examine the box again. “Three.”

“Press it and immediately release it.”

Once I do that, another light turns green. I’m feeling a bit calmer now.

“The next one’s a set of square buttons with symbols on them.”

“Go on.”

“Fermata, eighth note, treble clef, accent.”

“Is the eighth note’s stem pointing up or down?”

“Down.”

“Fermata, accent, eighth note, treble clef.”

Three modules down. Three to go. We have time. I flip over the box.

“Simon Says.”

“Sharp in the serial number, no strikes. Black to white, white to yellow, yellow to black, keep brown the same.”

He said that a bit fast. Anyway, the black button is flashing, so I’ll press yellow-

Behind Closed Doors, part 2

No, the lights didn’t go out… My lights went out, though. 

Another light goes on, waking me up. I find my face resting on some glass. Under the glass is a metal box with a bunch of panels on it. There’s also a pair of hands. Wait, this looks familiar… I know! 

It’s “Don’t Shut Up,” by Xander Zatame. We played this back in freshman orientation. You disarm a bunch of modules on a bomb, while a partner reads the instructions to you. Of course, bombs in real life don’t work that way. It’s great for the coolness factor, though.

But this box looks very, very real. It doesn’t seem to be part of a computer screen. I sit up straight and realize the glass itself is a box. And the hands… They’re my hands! I pull back, but I can’t pull them out any farther than my wrists. There are some thick bracelets clamped around my wrists, thicker than the holes that I pulled my arms out of.

My momentum causes my head to crash into something behind me. While I yelp in pain, I hear another yelp. This voice is a bit lower than mine, but not by much.

“Harry?” I call out.

“Judith? Is that you behind me?” It responds. It’s undeniably Prof’s voice.

“Isn’t it you behind me, though?” After those words slip out of my mouth, I realize they weren’t the smartest. Obviously this means we’re back-to-back.

Prof has figured it out too. “That means we-“

“Yeah, yeah, I know. We’re back-to-back. There’s this weird glass box that has some physical version of ‘Don’t Shut Up’ in front of me. Also, my hands are stuck in the box.”

“It looks like we’re playing the game, then. I’m in the same situation except that there’s a pamphlet in the box instead.”

That must be the manual. “What does it say?”

“Judith Diaton and Harry Boisen: Play a game of ‘Don’t Shut Up’ to escape. Once you successfully clear it, the restraints around your wrists and necks will fall off and you will be free to go.”

“Wait,” I interrupt, “there’s something around our necks?” 

Prof keeps reading. 

“If you get a game over, it is game over in the real world. That is to say, the devices around your necks will blow your heads off. Please enjoy this game. Press the button directly below the timer to begin your First Trial.”

What… in… the… h-

“Judith, are you okay?”

“They’re threatening to blow our heads off! How am I supposed to be okay?” I’m hardly impressed that whoever made this found a workaround for bomb diffusing.

“I’ll just let you know that the pamphlet is clamped shut. It says it will open when you press the start button.”

It looks so interesting, I like that Harry just wants to be called by his name instead of Prof, I think it's cute!

I'm curious to see where the story will go, even though we basically already know what's going to happen. Still, I will be happy to see how it will change!! This is so fun!

Behind Closed Doors, part 1

It’s a peaceful faculty dinner with Professor Harry Boisen. My best friend Ethan and several other TAs are sitting at the table. There is a lot of pizza in front of us. We’re currently deep in conversation with Prof.

“You don’t have to call me ‘Prof’. Harry’s just fine.”

“But don’t you want to be a professor one day?” I remark.

“Of course, but Harry’s still just fine.”

The other TAs chime into the conversation as I stop to take a bite of pizza. There’s talk of general artificial intelligence that won’t be available for a while… or will it? Prof’s wife comes by and sits down next to him.

There’s talk of computer security. I feel pretty important in this conversation because I’m taking both security and AI this semester.

When the restaurant is about to close, we all grab our things and head out. Prof wishes his wife well, then she heads off to her car with the kids. Prof will walk us all back to our places before getting to his car.

Eventually it’s just Prof, Ethan, and me.

We’re passing by Elegia Hall when Ethan pipes up.

“I need to grab something from the EE lab. I’ll meet you back at Cloche.”

“Bye Ethan,” I respond.

I turn my attention to Synth Hall across the street, where Prof will grab his belongings from his office. The entrance to the building is still lit, even though almost nobody is inside it. Prof and I chat a bit more.

Finally, I turn to my right, facing the crosswalk that leads to my place, Cloche House.

“Have a good night, Judith,” Prof tells me.

“Okay. Bye Prof!”

I cross the street, while he continues until he’s at the other crosswalk, across from Synth. I climb up the stairs leading to the back gate and let myself into the courtyard. A cold breeze sweeps through at a most inopportune time.

…I’m not wearing my jacket. Did I leave it at the diner? Or maybe in one of the classrooms in Synth? Prof can help me look for it. I’ll just ask him to open any of the classrooms.

I head back out the gate and down the stairs. I sprint across the street, half aware that I’m jaywalking. “Hey, Prof, I-“

Prof is slumped in the arms of a large, masked figure.

“Prof!” I scream. The figure notices me, and I notice many others.

Before I can even think, the rest of the lights go out.

(It’s a lot harder to write a story than to explain a story. I ended up putting in a lot of world-building that might not factor into anything. Oh well. I hope it works out. @sammyysblog​ Here it is if you’re interested. The next three parts were much easier to write, but I still need to draw something for them.)

SORRY I'M SO LATE AAAAAA

Ok, first of all!! I'm really happy you like him!! I though that the only way to make him stand out and avoid the risk of him being a copy of another pre-existing character was to make him really honest and friendly by default! And also it gave me opportunities to make him interact with Shin a lot more, since he's my fav and I wanted them to have some sort of connection!

Takahiro and Reko are the same age, yes~ He befriends Sara really easily, he is a bit hesitant to put most of the responsibilities on her and he offers her an helping hand when she's under pressure (especially after what happened to Joe)!

Gin trusts him from the get-go basically, he didn't want to because he was a stranger but Takahiro helped him feel less scared.

So they both care about him as much as he cares about them. They notice from the moment they started bonding that Takahiro trusts people too easily, and they get worried when he starts spending more time with Kanna because that means that he's gonna spend time with Shin too and who knows what he will do to brainwash him (?).

I have this idea that Takahiro actually asks Kanna to bring him to Shin's room in Chapter 2 during all the trading stuff so that he can talk to him and try to know his true self and Shin is reluctant at first but he know that Kanna would be mad at him for not trusting Takahiro so he lets him in and Takahiro tells him that he shouldn't be afraid to let his guard down.

Also, I think Kanna talks to Takahiro about Shin's plan and how he's working hard to find an exit and he's genuinely happy. He just wants everyone to get along sigh

Oh and, the white ponytail is just for design, I really liked it when I tried it on him!

Since almost everyone trusts him, he won’t have many issues during the trade in Chapter 2, so I think he ends up in the cage-like thing with Keiji, Shin and the others!

Also, since he ended up getting really close to Alice he will obviously suffer very much if he’s the one to die, but at the same time he would understand that Reko’s suffering much more than him so he wouldn’t make a scene or anything! He would tell her that he’s there for her if she need anything.

Basically the same thing happens if Reko dies, but in this case he would have the opportunity to bond even more with Alice and he would honestly give some really good emotional support to Takahiro in Chapter 3 after Shin’s / Kanna’s death.

Anyway, enough with this reply fngdngs sorry if this got so long!!

LONG POST AHEAD!! (+ YTTD spoilers)

Finally, here’s my YTTD oc! I managed to put things in order! Here you go @jazzlover5972 , I really hope you’ll like it! I'll do another one of these if I realize I missed something jsjfjs

His name is Takahiro Aoki, age 23. He’s a mechanic at his father’s workshop, even though he dreams of becoming a personal trainer. Unfortunately, his parents are convinced that it’s not something he should aim for in his life and that he should keep working at the family workshop since it’s a “safer option”, and his father who has worked as a mechanic his whole life can teach him everything he needs to know about the job.

Personality wise, he’s very straightforward, but gentle. He’s confident but not cocky, curious and a little stubborn.

He’s patient and observant. He’s friendly but he’s more on the introverted side so he won’t be the one to start the conversation. He’s pleasant to chat with.

The most important thing is that he trusts people easily, he’s quite naive. He wants to see the good in people and forgets that some will do shitty things (and this will be important especially with Shin).

He was meeting with a guy the night they were kidnapped, an old friend of his who was trying to convince Takahiro to go out with him; they had feelings for each other but Takahiro’s parents are really strict and he knew he couldn’t tell them. They were kidnapped right after they started a fight because his friend can’t stand how Takahiro doesn’t want to go against his parents even when they are wrong.

For their First Trial, they were locked in two separate rooms with a window in between, and Takahiro was given a map with the clues to solve the puzzle (like, "look under the bed to find [blank] and then do [blank]") and escape, but his friend was so scared and angry that he just yelled at him for the entire time and by the end of the Trial he was killed.

I love thinking about interactions between my ocs and the pre-existing characters and I usually spend more time on that rather than creating a story dgdjsl

I already said Takahiro trusts everyone, and that includes the main cast. He was kinda isolated at first, but after being with the others for a while he started speaking up a little and helping with the investigations. Takahiro’s extremely friendly and straightforward, so everyone likes him basically, especially Sara, the Yabusames and the kids. He could have gotten really well with Joe too.

Qtaro doesn’t trust him that much at first, because he feels like Takahiro’s being too good, but he’s just genuinely trying to help and Qtaro finds out he’s a chill dude.

He ends up really respecting Mishima and Kai, because who wouldn’t.

He’s fine with Keiji, even though they’re not best buds.

He worries for Nao and tries to help her but at the same time he knows she needs some time alone to process everything, so he prefers to let her be.

And then there’s Shin. Ok so, basically, it’s not like Takahiro trusts him completely, but he thinks that he’s hiding something and is not the bad guy he wants the others to believe, especially because of Kanna. He tries to get close to him and make sure he’s okay, overall he cares about him as much as the others.

Reko, Sara and Gin try to warn him many times not to get close to him because he’s bad news, but Takahiro wants to know what’s going on.

Takahiro gets really close to Kanna, she becomes like a sister to him (especially because both of them lost loved ones on the First Trial). And yes, Kanna trusts everyone, but especially Takahiro since he’s genuinely worried about Shin unlike the others and is so friendly and honest. She tries to convince Shin to spend more time with him and to let him join them but Shin always tells her to stay away. Seeing Kanna get so attached to Takahiro makes him wonder if he can trust him a bit more than the others though.

Takahiro never takes part in their plans at the end of the day. Shin is so shocked to see that he’s worried about him that he almost opens up/forgets he created a whole different persona with him a couple of times but he stops before going too far.

Other significant parts include:

- Due to his parents always being so strict, Takahiro can’t make a decision for the life of him, so the Main Games are excruciating for him. He can’t pick sides.

- Takahiro never tells anyone about how he was kidnapped or how his First Trial went, just because no one ever asked him. He finally opens up about it with Alice and only Alice, who he gets really close with. He even tells him about the friend and how he wants to change and stop doing what others want him to do.

- He can’t bring himself to vote for Shin at the end of the Second Main Game, and he votes for Kanna (I did all of this with my friend’s oc and she made hers vote for Shin so it’s all even dgjdj).

If Shin dies, Takahiro gets really worried about Kanna’s well-being and he always tells her to stay with him to not put herself in danger, to the point where Takahiro gets extremely paranoid. Maybe because he feels sorry that he voted for her. And because that’s what Shin would have wanted. Things don’t go well since they are separated when the Dummies arrive. Fortunately he gets along pretty well with Naomichi, who often asks him to join them if he doesn’t trust him enough (and this happens both with Kanna dying and with Shin dying).

If Kanna dies, Shin completely loses all the trust he built for Takahiro and starts avoiding him whenever he can. He can’t get over the fact that he voted for Kanna after being so worried about both of them.

I think that’s all there is for now, really! Sorry for the long post omg ssjgss but I finally did it! Next maybe I’ll work on the Dummy that will be paired with him!

Also, I wrote something for Takahiro and Shin to work on what kind of interactions they may have, maybe I’ll post it in the future!
