got the definite feeling that brian might show up again. dexter tells him to fuck off in a moment of extreme hurt--it's not like that's his actual blood brother standing there. it's the darkest side of him rising up, when dexter just lost his best friend.

would be nice to see brian come back in s2 to haunt dexter for good, with dexter playing loose with the rules and becoming more active, following in his brother's steps.

i enjoyed resurrection immensely, but the trust isn't built back up yet. i'm not ready to jump to the conclusion that they only brought christian camargo for that one brief scene, same as batista played a major role in resurrection while only appearing as a cameo in new blood. i guess there's still hope in me

the real genius of putting johnny silverhand in your brain is that you start acting more like him without any mechanical interference over time. they tell you that johnny is slowly overwriting your brain, but the way he and V change each other is just as easily explained through exposure as by malfunctioning future tech. johnny is always there. I as the player find myself thinking things like ah, I kind of want to make this choice, but johnny will think i'm a kissass. johnny will hate it. johnny won't shut up about it. him being there makes you, the player, make different choices than you would otherwise. and johnny changes his behavior because of V. it could be the chip or it could just be that people change each other when they're in close proximity, for better or worse. I love the ambiguity of it

what original sin really missed is a scene where harry is crying his way through sex with dexter while dex has no idea what’s wrong because it’s good so, uh, what’s with all the tears, dad? awkward

there are moments in original sin where it feels like harry is genuinely afraid of dexter. that dexter might snap and kill him, or hurt him, even if he doesn’t actually wish him harm

(what i find super interesting is that harry not even once seemed to imply or fear that dexter was a physical danger to deb, and i refuse to believe that’s because he didn’t care)

THAT BEING SAID, the mere idea of harry as the handler of someone he raised from early childhood to the point where the person became a legitimate threat? don’t even get me started on the scene when dex had him all wrapped up in a kill room at home. GOD
