Eligibility Criteria- HPPSC Medical Officer Eligibility 2024

Possession of an MBBS degree from a recognized university along with the successful completion of a mandatory rotating internship.

Selection Process – HPPSC Medical Officer Selection Process 2024

The selection process for the HPPSC Medical Officer (General Wing) includes the following stages:

Screening Test (Paper-I):

Computer-Based Test (CBT) or offline objective test (1 hour, 100 marks).

Sections include:

General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh (30 marks).

National and International Affairs (30 marks).

Hindi Language (20 marks).

English Language (20 marks).

Descriptive Subject Aptitude Test (Paper-II):

A 3-hour descriptive test (120 marks).

Personality Test:

Conducted for 30 marks.

Minimum qualifying marks:

General Category: 40% (12 marks).

Reserved Categories: 30% (9 marks).

Final Merit List:

Based on combined scores of Paper-II (120 marks) and Personality Test (30 marks).

Exam Pattern – HPPSC Medical Officer Exam Pattern 2024

Screening Test: Computer-Based Test (CBT) or offline test with objective questions covering topics like General Knowledge of Himachal Pradesh, National and International Affairs, Hindi and English Language.

Descriptive Subject Aptitude Test (Paper-II): Three-hour written test to assess subject-specific aptitude.

Personality Test: 30 marks, minimum qualifying marks required for General and Reserved categories.
