i feel like i will be hated on maxblr for this but whatever

max leaving red bull is a hot topic rn for an obvious reason. and i understand that max leaving his beloved team is soul-crushing. it really is. i understand your feelings. and i, personally, wouldn't want him to leave the team he has been driving for since he was 18. esp for the mercedes who has been his and rbr's main enemy for his entire career, who celebrated his crash in silverstone 21, who said so many nasty things about him.

but he was in the red bull system for 11 years (1 with toro rosso & 10 years with red bull)! they loved him, they kinda built their team around him, they did everything so he could win championships. and as a result he has 4 wdcs, 2 wccs.

most drivers never experience anything even remotely close to this in their entire careers (!)

for me, max is in the top 3 f1 drivers of all time next to lewis and schumi. both of them had their unique unparalleled path in f1. max'll have it too. and i think he'll have it with switching teams and winning trophies with smb else.

the next thing that i will say is going to sound crazy but if anyone gets it, it's my fellow f1blr users. even from a narrative standpoint, max has everything. he has talent, he has experience, he has a mentality of the champion. i think most of the drivers on the grid rn have only one or two things out of this list but not everything.

so, if anything will be a preventative factor to his championship, it will, unfortunately, be the team. so, we'll have to wait and see what he does.
