Reblogging again because I just came back to look at the comment section and now I'm confused again and while I enjoyed the debates going on I realized people took this really seriously and it's not that deep. Love y'all though, that was great.

I find it kind of stupid how 'half full' vs 'half empty' is framed as an optimist/pessimist thing. If it starts full and gets halfway drained, it's half empty. If it starts empty and gets halfway filled, it's half full. If you don't know the starting state it's both simultaneously.

re: your comment on the system of a down album post: system of a down released an album titled "steal this album" which is deliberately made to look like a home-burned CD (as if it were pirated) the image in that post is of the album on the shelf of a music shop, and the sticker that reads "this product is security protected" is both ironic in that it goes against the spirit of the album, and also is visual storytelling in that the fact that it has that sticker at all means that its an item people frequently steal
