i came across "apocalypse" (by Cigarettes After Sex) and immediately had this stream of thoughts.. may as well share it here for fic portion ideas or just a good time before it leaves me forever:

- post game setting

- both heisenberg and ethan survived (i've always pictured heisenberg getting revived by the duke after having felt the lord's essense through his crystalized remains... heisenberg then saves ethan from getting blown up to smithereens by using all his freshly revived and recharged magnetic powers to summon a crazy amount of metal to shield them)

- bickering enemies (who are constantly in each other's throats) to friends and eventually lovers succession

- spent their months together fighting their way out of the village and nearby areas and cities since both BSAA and Blue Umbrella are after them

- there's obvious chemistry between the two and eventually developed into some serious sexual tension that neither one of them wants to admit

- one of their encounters with the bioweapons of BSAA, had ethan in a near death experience that shook heisenberg to the core. realized how much he really cares for the blond.

- heisenberg still played it cool when ethan came to

- ethan is very glad that heisenberg didnt abandon him after near fatal encounter knowing that the older could've just fled the scene to ensure that no one takes away his freedom.

- in a not so brief moment of respite in a bustling city where they can easily blend in (i assume that they're able to collect supplies and clothing in their "travels"), the two decided to celebrate after making it that far. they found an abandoned apartment complex and decided to set up camp on the rooftop

- so, this is when i imagine having apocalypse as the background music while they chill. they have celebratory drinks but had no intention of getting hammered since they need to always be on their toes as soon as the situation calls for it.

- started talking about their nearly year long journey, their own traumas that are not too different after all, and how they realized that they do make an amazing team. as a defense mechanism to distract them from their "feelings that they feel about each other," they still go about their usual trade of insults but would sort of stop for a bit whenever something too real is brought up

- after a while, they lay side by side in their make up bed spread with cushions and blankets still talking about stuff. when they finished each other's sentence about life, heisenberg must've come to a life changing realization and suddenly pulls ethan into a deep kiss. the blond getting shocked at first but gave in eventually.. kissing the heisenberg with an equal amount of burning passion. oohh, and they kiss during this part of the song: "your lips, my lips. apocalypse." both started to get all handsy because of all their pent up feelings. then ethan pulls back a tiny bit to ask the other in a very sexed up whisper, "what are we doing?" heisenberg looked at him lustfully and said, "something that we should've done a long time ago." and he then captured lips once more this time with more fire and...

god knows what the carnal fuck happens along the way. but i see them consummating their uh... togetherness like there's no tomorrow. and the song continues to play in the background til it fades to the end.

(my HC has always been heisenberg as the domineering top and ethan as a power bottom LOL)

that's it! i'm in no way, shape or form a writer (i didn't even proofread this. who cares?) but it's good to get these ideas out every now and then

this is my fav version of Apocalypse since it's more suited to play in the background as things go down.
