The factory paint includes at least 35 microns of corrosion protection primer. The z purlin manufacturers use a cold-formed “Z” section with flange stiffeners to make Grits and Purlins. The size of the flange stiffeners must comply with the rules of AISI.

3. Cladding or Sheeting
The PEB manufacturers use the following sheets to construct the pre-engineered buildings: Base metal coated with either Galvalume steel of quality ASTM A 792 M grade 345B or aluminum coating of ASTM B 209 M. The Galvalume coating constitutes 45% zinc and 55% aluminum by weight. The painted sheets have an exterior surface coating of an epoxy primer of 25 microns with a polyester finish for higher durability. Similarly, painted sheets also have an interior surface coating of epoxy primer of 12 microns.
