He wanted to go but Taylor insisted he go out. But to be honest, Taylor was the only person he liked or even wanted to hang out with- besides maybe Jamie. He spotted Savannah from across the room when he looked up from his phone and he walked over. She barked at him and she stepped back a bit. “H-hey Sav, are you alright?” He sat down with his book still close to his chest. 

"Oh, hi, Caleb,” she looked up once more, eyes lingering on the boy. “I didn’t realize it was you, I didn’t mean to snap.” She was well aware of how tired she sounded. “I’m fine.”
