Just... to add to this bit.
This past year, I realized a friend of a friend who worked for KC had more stories of terrible supervisor decisions that negatively affected the workers. When I finally asked why the uptick in terrible things, they said the company was bought out.
By Amazon.

A LOT of "inflation" is actually corporations taking advantage of "inflation" to hide profiteering.

Y'ALL THIS IS THE NEW WHITE HOUSE MONKEYPOX COORDINATOR HOLY SHIT

Biden really said "I think we need a raging queer leather daddy doctor to run the country's monkeypox response" and he was RIGHT

The full article also mentions the right to repair bullshit they've done. So that's a full read.
#irritated that some people dont understand this company does not love farmers#like no eric you are not fighting for the little guy by wearing a jd hat#companies always want money#and a lot of folks that fully understand and are affected by this bs do not have the time energy and audience to yell for actual change#bc they want to argue issues and everyone else is content to wear green and yellow like that helps a farmer

pratchett will write an entire book about the grim reaper pretending to be santa claus while the grim reaper’s granddaughter goes about hunting down the dumbass who decided to kill santa, and then right when you think you’re done and the oddly pointed shenanigans are winding down he hits you with “humans need fantasy to be human. to be the place where the falling angel meets the rising ape,” and knocks you into next wednesday

I'm gonna be honest you guys. I'm becoming too numb to this bullshit.
This isn't my country, but my country is doing the same thing for the same reasons. Because politicians like to have an "other" to blame. That can be the poor, the wealthy, the Jews, the Catholics, the immigrants, etc.
It's a cycle of hatred that humanity goes through.
And the thing is, right here and right now, this is doing very serious harm to a bunch of innocent kids.
They're specifically targeting kids. Yeah, sure, it'll get the adults too. But they're literally aiming for the children.
Make the schools out them. Don't let the schools welcome them. Outlaw actual medical services approved by ACTUAL MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS.
And I just. I can't.
Even my sibling - a middle aged dad that's fairly liberal thinking for our area - asked me the other day about why I think it's okay for "them" to be on sports teams. Maybe they need their own team?
I honestly left it. Because I had a 5,8, and 9 yeard old listening in that did not need to hear me yelling at their father.
But this is it. People like She-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named see a chink in whatever armor they imagine minority groups to have.
Because not all women accept transgender women, and they can work with that. Not everyone in the queer community accepts transgender/nonbinary identies. And they can work with that. They can squirm right in there and take any doubt and turn it into panic or hatred or fear.
There's no happy ending to this post guys. This is happening, don't ignore it, and please work against it at every level you can. Even if it's just your local school board. Even if you know you won't win. It will matter to someone to see you fighting when they can't.
Make kids aware of this, so they can make informed choices about who they share their identity with this.

And there it is.
Men actually ADMITTING that they realize a lot of men are fully aware that they are generally unlikeable, have little substance and little to offer a woman in a relationship.
They're also admitting that said men are becoming butthurt about the fact that women now more than ever are making the conscious decision to no longer settle for them just so we won't have to deal with the "shame" of being single.
Insecure and self-entitled men are literally upset over the fact that women no longer need them the way we used to in the past. Their sense of self-worth is dependent on female validation and instead of stepping up their game, changing how they think, etc, they're starting to pout and throw tantrums over how useless they feel.

I would like to take a moment to share a short story.
When I was 17, I went walking on the beach with four friends in the evening when the beach was pretty empty. Another friend's parents actually gave us alcohol, but only one of the four took them up on it. I argued about the rest of the way to the beach. When we go to the wooden walkway, I told my friend either toss the beer in the nearby trashcan or walk alone. I refused to get on the actual beach with alcohol and all of us underage (and no previous drinking exp to my knowledge). She called me on it, and I turned around and left. Right then.
She saw I was serious, dumped the beer, followed me and apologized. Didn't drink in front of me again until after she was 21.
And I share that to say this - no one should be surprised that 17 year old me said no and my friend listened and apologized.
Say no if you're uncomfortable with a situation for any reason. Friends will understand, talk it out, apologize - whatever needs to be done. You won't ever lose a real friend over saying no. Because a real friend doesn't mind respecting your choices and your voice.
