The needle went in effortlessly, auto-injecting with a small release of pressure. Once it was finished Damien sat back on his haunches, throwing the used cartridge aside. It skidded along the pavement, stopping near the body of one of the fallen Gen 2s. It could be collected along with for scraping later, as minuscule as the yield of aluminum and plastic would be. Every little bit counted.

“It’s the least I could do,” he spoke in response to her thanks.

Though it was doubtful she’d understand why he’d say such a thing. Most people would have already remarked about his status as Director if they knew that’s who he was. Word was rapidly spreading, it wouldn’t be long before he would be unable to go anywhere on the surface without a Courser by his side.

Her next words took him off guard somewhat. He chuckled a bit as well, averting his gaze in a gesture that was almost bashful.

“It happens more often than I’d like to admit.”

He stood up to discreetly hide his expression, lingering beside her to wait until she could walk of her own volition. Already he could see the flesh starting to regrow, observing it from a distance.

“My name’s Damien, by the way,” he spoke conversationally. “Where was it you were headed?”

As soon as she was able to get up again he offered his hand to help her.

The slightest narrowing of his mismatched eyes followed the way Nero so boldly met his approach. Now he could see the other man’s soft, dark eyes. They were far more gentle than he’d anticipated.

He lightly took hold of the front of the other man’s jacket, leather sliding against the specialized material of his glove.

“I’m Damien,” he responded softly.

Leaning up he made to kiss him again, their noses bumping together as he hovered just centimeters away. He wouldn’t give this one freely; he wanted Nero to show even more initiative. He wanted him to take it.

Nero was blushing intensely, backing up slightly at the other mans advance. He pushed his goggles up to a resting position on his head, above his forehead.

“I’m just, I don’t know you, you don’t know me… I’m not saying I didn’t like it…”

Nero gulped and his heart took control, and he moved slightly forward towards the man, leaving very little space between them.

“M-maybe I do want more, but could you at least tell me your name? I’m Nero…”

Synth Animals

In addition with reducing work and production of Gen 3s, the Institute's projects concerning synth animals will be put into greater focus.

This will primarily center around dogs which can be used for work and war, but other species will be made to be pets as well just for scientists working at the Institute as it increases happiness and morale.

Damien's personal military synth dog is a pure white Belgian Malinois with ice blue eyes whom he named Riker.

Other dog breeds created for battle purposes take after the Tibetan Mastiff, modeled after the ancient Molossus breed. They are huge and a terrifying force on the battlefield, especially when equipped with various armor. 

A new addition in the SRB are German shepherd dogs. They will be brought along sometimes with Coursers on their missions to aid them in tracking and taking down rogue synths.

"I'm really proud of the work you've accomplished, Damien. For the Institute, and for the people above. Humanity couldn't be in better hands." Atticus reaches and gives Damien's shoulder a firm squeeze, smiling at him. "Don't ever question your choices."

There was acertain light in Damien’s eye as he looked up at the other man, taken momentarilyby a deep feeling of pride. No one else could ever make him feel like this. 

“Given thecircumstances, why would I question them?” He responded, his tonebetraying nothing.

Thoughthose words left a certain bitterness in the pit of his stomach. He’d questioned it manytimes, questioned himself and his own intelligence, just because of themisunderstandings of those above.

It wasstupid to have ever taken that into consideration; he knew that now.

How would you describe your muses voice? Default tone, pitch, texture, accent, enunciation, etc?

((Somewhat high, if he were a singer he’d be about the tenor range, and his voice is very smooth. He speaks clearly, typically without emotion; matter-of-fact about most things. It’s rare you can get him to express emotion in his voice, so when it happens it can be quite startling. He doesn’t have any unusual accent or anything for the region he resides at.

He very rarely raises his voice. Even when he’s angry he’s more the type to keep it quiet and between him and the object of his rage.))

very realistic. makes me wish a lot of things you mention could be done in game.

((God that’s a relief. And I totally agree. There’s so many awesome things I’ve envisioned that just hurt me b/c I cannot do it in-game. I want Institute bases on the surface, dangit. More than just patrols. Where I can have settlers helping farm genetically altered plants.

Can you imagine how great that would be.))

at the very least the idea of implementing them, the ideas themselves, are. i think everyone could debate just how advanced the institute is in its own universe n how long it would take to implement changes (personal preference/headcanon basically) but the changes themselves seem fine to me :u

((Oh that’s good. Yeah, I’m in nooo way implying this stuff would happen overnight, I’m thinking more along the span of 10-15 years (and much longer for the bigger changes, perhaps even continuing on with whoever Damien chooses as next in line). I definitely think there’d be some growing pains in general, I just haven’t gone into detail about them.))

So, what are Damien's kinks? The world needs to know!

((Jeez, I’ve answered this a lot maybe i should make a set list of them as a go-to.

Voyeurism is a big one. Doesn’t even have to be sexual exactly. He just likes watching and spying on people in various ways. Having a high degree of empathy helps with this, as he could easily get off just watching someone else get off (or helping them.)

He’s really. Really into loyalty. Blind devotion. Being obeyed without question. That sort of thing.

I don’t think I need to mention his robot fetish again but there it is. It’s mentioned. He’s a technophile.

He’s very dominant but not a sadist. That’s not to say he won’t probably do some very questionable things sometimes.

He really likes it when you beg for it.

He doesn’t like giving oral but he likes receiving it (unless you’re female, in which case he very much enjoys giving.)

He likes a certain amount of bondage sometimes. Having others restrained, not the other way around.

Does Damien prefer the company of humans, or synths more?

He finds them easier to understand than humans, from an emotional and physiological standpoint. Where others might see something complex he only sees comforting simplicity.

He also likes that he has complete control over them. The fact he owns them.))
