My name is Mohamed, I’m 37 years old, and I’m originally from Gaza. I left home in 2015 seeking safety and a better life. Since then, I’ve worked hard to build something stable here in Belgium—but recent events have left me overwhelmed, heartbroken, and in urgent need of help.

In late 2023, during the ongoing war in Gaza, I lost my mother. Around the same time, we also lost our family home—just like so many other Palestinian families. My sister and her five young children were left with nothing, stuck in a war zone, terrified and vulnerable. Their father is missing, and they had no one else but me.

In January 2024, just before the Rafah border was fully closed, I managed to get them out and into temporary safety in Egypt. It was a race against time, and I used everything I had—and more—to make it happen. They now live in a small apartment in Cairo. I am the only person supporting them.

I’ve been covering their food, rent, school expenses, clothing, medical needs—everything. The children are still young, and I consider them my own. They are the last close family I have left, and I cannot turn away from them.

Recently, I underwent knee surgery, which left me unable to work. At the same time, my debts have grown from trying to keep everyone afloat. I’ve never asked for help like this before, but right now I don’t see another option.

My dream is to bring my sister and her five children here to Belgium, where they can finally have safety, education, and the future they deserve. But the process is costly, and I simply cannot manage it alone anymore.

For safety reasons, I am not sharing my full name publicly. But I hope my words reflect the truth and urgency of this situation.

Wild Headcanon Rant

(this isn’t very structured since it was all thought up while I washed off lmao. i apologize if my rambling is hard to read)

It’s honestly shocking how few others I see headcanoning botw Link as aroace. Not only does it just fit his character, but there are so many silly story aspects that can be messed with.

Point #1:

Think about it. Link is arguably one of the most attractive people in Hyrule— the amount of characters who have canonically crushed on him, as well as those whose attraction is just implied, is overwhelming. This man’s got hundreds of admirers, so many nearly the entire country’s fawning over him—

And he has no idea. Not a fucking clue. He probably thinks things like, “Mipha? Oh, she was just my bestie.”

“Zelda’s practically a sister, we’re such good friends.”

“I wonder why Paya gets so nervous around me; maybe I scare her?”

It’s just hilarious 😭😭

Point #2:

Food is his one true love. I don’t really need to explain myself here. Now, if only we could make garlic bread, then everything would be perfect

Point #3:

Have to go up against a supermodel of an enemy? No worries. While everyone else is flustered, Link’ll beat the shit out of them

Point #4:

The great fairies terrify him. Ever since he realized that they had romantic intentions, he avoids them with a stubbornness that’d rival a toddler mid-tantrum. I never imagined waking up to endless screams,

Running barefoot through smoke and fire,

Searching for my mother among the rubble,

Only to find nothing but silence… a heavy silence telling me that no one will answer me anymore. 💔

In one moment, everything changed.

Our home became a memory, my mother’s embrace became the past,

And my father's face, now absent, is the last thing I hold in my memory.

They’re gone… and left my heart burdened with unspoken grief. 😢

But despite everything, we are still here… trying.

I survived with my younger siblings.

Yes, we survived… but who are we after survival?

Children without warmth, without a roof, with no place to return to.

We were displaced to an unknown place, carrying a bag empty of everything… except pain. 🥀

We slept in the open, waking every morning to a life that holds nothing for us,
