#dragonfly!!!!!#theyre so neat and irredesant#like subtle stained glass almost#delicate but built for SPEED#10/10 for both style and function#also the dual set of wings is like oh ur a Creature TM#had a book when i was small that had ‘good’ fairies and ‘gross’ fairies#i think the thing was like if u treated ur house nice ud get good fairies vs if u didnt tidy up etc ud get the ‘gross’ ones???#idk there was a bunch of other things happening the fairies werent the focus#but like#the good ones had butterfly wings which yanno fine classic no hate#but the gross ones had bent & tattered dragonfly wings#and also rat tails#and they were SUCH gender envy tbh#and also that fanfic i read years ago where one character had been like adopted into the royal family or smthn#but he was a changling and changlings have wings#the royals couldnt have that info get out etc etc classic drama#so they cut off his wings before they could develop#but every night theyd regrow. so every morning hed have to saw off the lil nubs again and again#classic tasty neurodivergent and/or queer metaphor. child literally sawing off pieces of himself to appease and pretend to be non-monsterous#in his parents eyes#anyways i always imagined them as dragonfly wings
