I want to do a book review on the current legendborn trilogy, but I'm struggling so hard to get through the first book 😭 I feel like I've read like 20 different iterations of this all throughout middle and high school.
To be clear, I do not hate it. I'm just bored with the premise. I don't care about the world building, and neither do I care about the characters. There's not even an interesting subtext to latch onto. It's so hard, because I want to like this book so much 😭 but I just can't.

Relistening to Cowboy Carter, I'm actually mad people think this doesn't deserve AOTY. Beyonce is constantly reinventing herself with every song, each following a succinct storyline and theme that ties into the bigger picture. There's so much to dissect with Cowboy Carter.
