God, I love O already. I was heavily bullied in school, so I can definitely painfully relate. I hope we have the option to be kind and supportive to O and help them in what little way we can! Also, from some of your ominous comments, it feels like O (or the MC, or maybe both) will die during the course of this story. Stop me if this is too spoiler-y, but is there any way to prevent this? Or at least spare O's life by sacrificing MC instead? as you can see, I'm a bit attached already.

I'm afraid I do have to stop you, it'd be way too spoilery. But also this makes me think I do have to release part of the game as a demo first after all, because a lot of you are operating under assumptions about this game that kinda veer from what you'll be getting... So I need to show you so you're gonna see for yourself :P

I feel I ought to say that two of my biggest inspirations for this was Longlegs and Twin Peaks. Sometimes I really wish I were making movies, because then I could make them look Lynchian, or dark and wideframed like Longlegs. It would fit so well for this project

Because there is a saying that a rabbits foot is considered very lucky, similar to a 4 leaf clover and a horse shoe and since the theme of this wip is heavily associated with rabbits?

The stalker have Publicly stake their claim on MC, like maybe a death warning to those who think of being close to the MC (this could also be a big reason why no one bully the MC out of fear of being the next victim)😱

I gotto add this for all the horror fan out there.... All of this involves ritual cult thing. Where u either have to kill or eat someone u love most to be able to join them and their evil master👹

I don't really get people who need to have romance in their ifs, like I enjoy the romance aspect as much as the next person but it's not something I need to enjoy it.

Infact I think some ifs can be hurt by forcfully adding romance in something that doesn't need it, but that's just me

I knew that due to the lack of romance, a lot of people might not be interested in this, but taking the romance part further than it needs to be would have immensely hurt this story, I'm very certain of that. So yes, I quite agree, and I'm glad you feel that way.

I like romance, but I also like horror, and I like this concept even if romance isn't a "real" feature! Watch me get attached to O, get emotionally invested, and then traumatise horrify me! I'm buckled up and ready!

Honestly, I'm cool with just a wisp of romance, especially if all it's there for is to impact the story in some way beyond "omg will they or won't they" and the fact that this is horror themed (or has elements of horror at least)? I'm sold! But either way, I hope Twine isn't kicking your butt too badly while working on this

twine is still daunting, but I may find my way around it yet. I'm hopeful again, thank you for asking nonnie <3

hi! i just wanted to pop in with some optimism because of some of the asks i’ve seen you answer.

first i just wanted to say the plot of your story is really interesting and i can’t wait to play! i also just wanted to mention that, in my opinion, there’s so many heart wrenching (in the best way) ifs that are super short, like sit and play in 10 min short, and they’re still deeply moving. i think your story is going to be amazing and i just wanted to say that because i’d hate to see you get discouraged! wishing you the best of luck in your writing and anyone that wants to try and direct your writing process is… weird lol.

I fucking love when rabbits and hares are used in scary stuff they are often connected to innocence and purity (let's leave the fertility/sexuality part out tho lol) so to see them as a bad omen is amazing

I love that too! I don't know if you saw Us by Jordan Peele but there was an opening scene with rabbits and it was so creepy. It set the tone really well.

Rabbits and hares are special creatures. They're different from other prey animals. Don't ask me how.

Oooh, love this because the stalker is kept very ambiguous. Is it the kind that wishes to be mc? To possess or be either mc? Is it a hatred or like a predator stalking prey? The hare imagery gives mixed signals, are we prey to them? Imagery that’s supposed to lead into the hunt? Or are we a hare amongst rabbits? Just similar enough to fool some, but no matter how we act or hide… just wrong, strange, bold enough to never quite fit in? Just wrong enough for someone to decide we need watching, or something worse?

I know you probably won’t be able to answer, but wanted to share that I appreciate the already powerful imagery.

The MC feels very strongly about meat.

Lunch consists of a slab of discolored meat of questionable origin and oversalted mashed potatoes. It’s not exactly fine dining, but the mere idea of eating meat is enough to excite me. It smells heavenly. It makes me feel like a god. I dig into it, ripping it apart frantically with my dulled knife and fork, watching the stringy, fibrous mass unravel before I stuff it into my mouth and swallow it down. My teeth gnashing against the limp, wiggly chunks with triumphant delight, I close my eyes and relish in this luxury. Grease runs down my chin and drips onto my white shirt, leaving an unsightly yellow spot near the collar. I don’t care. The day is almost over anyhow; I’ll change when I get home.

After I’m done with the meat, I eat up the mashed potatoes, significantly more listlessly. There’s nothing interesting about these, but even so, they’re paid nutrients and I’m going to get my parents’ money’s worth.

Why, nonnie, I'm very glad you asked! Note that actually, the only animal depicted in the images are hares and rabbits?

I recently watched this youtube video. In it, the narrator mentions a quote by filmmaker Jordan Peele (whom I'm a huge fan of, by the way). Apparently, he's afraid of rabbits, and he considers them to have "the eyes of a sociopath" and "scissor-like ears".

That's pretty much how the idea for the title was born. SO in a way, it wasn't me who came up with it at all.

Incidentally, I also love rabbits and hares.
