What do you think is the most tragic thing about Alexander ?

A lot actually he just couldn’t catch a break 😭

it’s hard to say what is exactly the most tragic thing about him was, but his fathers death Paul I definitely is a big thing he blamed himself for the death of dad for the rest of his life pretty much and struggled with that fact until his own death.

Especially since he was involved with his fathers death with the group of men who planned the coup asked if Alexander would be fine if they “forced his father to step down” Alexander only really agreed as long as they didn’t hurt his father in any way he was unsure due to his grandfathers coup that ended with his grandfathers death they promised they wouldn’t hurt Paul I which of course only for his Father indeed being killed in the coup that absolutely destroyed Alexander, something Alexander could never forgive himself for allowing to happen.

There’s like so much like the death of his daughters, unable to be close to Elizabeth in a meaningful way, the pressures of Napoleon, the betrayal he constantly felt, how he became Schizophrenic and paranoid after Napoleon, etc, etc. There’s a lot, why I find this man interesting also not to count the queerness he had but unable to truly explore.
