Staring, mouth agape, was about as far from polite as one could get, but he could hardly be blamed in this situation. Remarkable was really the only word he could think of. He’d seen so much in his short life - most of it terrifying - but none of it even came close to the woman addressing him. She practically gave off an aura of some kind, like he shouldn’t be looking directly at her, or he would go blind.

Dipper was so starstruck it took him a moment to register the question, and another to translate it in his head.

     back in australia kids grew up quickly. children in junker town were scarce ; happy children even more so. the edge of the apocalypse weighed down their hearts , made them grow up faster than they were ready for. it was a shame.

     but out in the world , away from the chaos and pollution , kids were allowed to be kids and traveling around scrap found out a very important fact about herself : she loved kids. 

     the child before her was adorable. a chubby face still layered with baby fat , wide eyes and a cute stammer. so open. so soft. so different from the children of junker town. her eyes flashed with a glowing blue , turning quickly to a subtle shining pink.

Those words piqued the hacker’s attention, getting her to look for the source of the person who was now offering to buy her a drink. Sombra had finished her own quite a bit ago, so another would be nice- and it was even better since someone else was offering.  “Es usted todo un encanto.    Sí, I would like one, considering I’ve already finished mine a little while ago.” Lifting up the glass a bit, Sombra shook it to emphasis her words.

     ❛ a looka’ and a good drinka’ , yer goin two fer two roight now. ❜     with a short whistle she called the bartender over , scanning the other woman up and down with nearly glowing blue eyes. 

     ❛ get th’ lady whateva’ she wants. and make it on th’ house. ❜     she flashed a wicked smirk , knowing that the poor man behind the counter wouldn’t object to her demand. 

     ❛ now do i get a name in exchange fer the drink or is that gonna cost extra ? ❜

“Wh- me?” Vicky blinked at first, brows knit together before she perked up and grinned. She couldn’t say no to free booze.

“Sure! Anything you wanna get me!”

     scrap smiles back at the other woman and follows with a playful whip of her hair. she scoots into the booth effortlessly , small frame a contrast to the other’s more ample body. a quick fist slammed against the bar gets the busy tender’s attention. 

     ❛ gimme a jack and a soda vodka fer the lovely sheila. add one a’ those cute lil umbrella’s too. ❜     even as she speaks her order he eyes never leave the other junker. 

     ❛ ya know , most gals i’ve tried ta’ buy drinks fer told me ta’ fuck off. but you , ya’ know a good free drink when ya’ see it. i loike that in a girl. name’s scrap. an’ who moight you be ? ❜
