Waiting in Limbo

I’m still waiting to hear back about a job I interviewed for at a local tech company, and the suspense is getting to me. The process has been pretty extensive—first, a conversation with the recruiter, followed by two separate video interviews, and finally, an in-person meeting with two VPs last Thursday.

On Monday, the recruiter told me they were moving into the post-interview phase, which included reference checks and HR procedures. All three of my references were contacted that same day, so I assumed things were moving quickly. But now it’s Thursday, and I haven’t heard anything.

At this point, I’m starting to feel like I didn’t get it. I’d love to be wrong, but the silence is making it hard to stay optimistic.
