Scully is so funny bc she puts on this super professional front so everyone thinks that she’s tired of her job and just putting up with her best friend and then as soon as someone tries to drag her away from the office or implies that Mulder’s work isn’t worth her time she’s kicking and screaming. But she’s content to let you think that she’s ultra professional. This happens to the audience too somehow everyone’s like “oh Scully is annoyed by Mulder” no that is her blorbo her husband her one and only and her partner. You’ve just been fooled you’ve been duped.

The thing about X-Files is that you watch, again, literally the first three episodes and Mulder & Scully are already deeply unhinged for each other in a truly fascinating way. but. then you get to season 6. and they've never been so married. Mulder does NOT gaze at Scully but he does say her name in his sleep. Scully cannot fall in love because she's already in love. The baseball scene. The ice cream. She'd kiss him if he wasn't so ugly. Undercover married couple. The baseball scene. This list is not intensive. It's ✨ their season. ✨
